Members 5dumplings@home
Okay, I have tried the printer icon to cancel the printing. I have tried control panel to get it to cancel. Besides throwing the pc/printer out the window, what's left. If I reboot, the document will still be in queue (experience here.)
Members Kubel
If you are running an NT based OS: Start > Run > Type NET STOP SPOOLER and press enter. Go to C:WINDOWSsystem32spoolPRINTERS, go to Tools > Folder Options > View > Select "SHOW HIDDEN FILES AND FOLDERS" and uncheck "HIDE PROTECTED OS FILES" and click OK. Delete all the .SPL and .SHD files in the PRINTERS folder. Restart the printer. Start > Run > Type NET START SPOOLER and press enter. Everything should work now (hopefully). Members Danny Carlton
A nice size sledge hammer seems to do the job for me. Honestly, that is a real pain when it does that. I almsot always have to reboot.
Members NlovewithChrist
Right clicking (versus the normal left clicking) on the printer icon on the bottom right hand corner of your computer (start toolbar) should bring up the option to 'cancel print' (click on what is in que that you want cancelled and it should work). You can also right click on the bottom toolbar and left click on task manager and left click on your print job and click again on 'end process'. If your printer icon isn't working (if the process above isn't working)...I'd reinstall my printer drive CD to ensure it is properly installed so you can right click in the future and cancel print.
