Members tenderhearted
My slumber disturbed by that wretched sound, The attack of my alarm clock present, abound. The morning battle had started once more, That sworn enemy of mine started to roar. This war of wits, I am going to lose, Ah, a solution, Operation Big Snooze. Nothing between me and the bed, Except my soft pillow where I rest my head. All is right, once again, with me and the world, No great revelation, no secrets unfurled. I slip back into slumber, so quickly, amen, Then the battle cry of the alarm haunts me again. You wicked enemy, you disturb me once more, Why must you continue waging this war? Violent thoughts have entered my mind, Oh, how they are vicious, cruel, and unkind. Perhaps I shall smash you, throw you to the wall, Just maybe I won't bother to set you at all. How's that for a plan? Seems brilliant to me, Yes, tomorrow, my nemesis, you shall see. An ally, the sun, conspires it seems, It shines on my face, those dreaded sunbeams. You've won the battle, but the war rages on, Out of bed I jump to face the new dawn.
