The Great I Am

This is Fiction

Just a young girl out there on my own,
My mother abandoned me at a young age,
My father was a drug addict and that is all I have ever known,
I was built up with so much bitter and rage.

I had seen it all,
I was tired and worn.
My heart had became cold and built a wall,
For my heart was broken and torn.

Why didn?t my mother care?
Why did my father come home high?
It seemed like I was not getting anywhere.
I just wanted something good to pass by.

Then came one night,
A preacher at my door,
He came in and showed me the Word of God and showed me what was right,
I just knew I couldn?t take the life that I was living anymore.

I called upon His name,
And He came and rescued me,
Never more to be the same,
Never going back to captivity.

His blood set me free,
Never to be wrapped up in sins chains,
No more in bondage, for I had met our Saviour at Calvary,
No more to be in a life of endless pain!

Glory to His Saving Grace,
He saved me from a broken home!
Never returning to a lonely place,
I have the Lord Jesus Christ with me everywhere I roam!

Once in sins abyss,
Now forever saved by the Blood of the Lamb,
All the Glory and Praise is His,
For He is truly my Saviour and the Great I am!
