Big miracles or small miracles in the Bible

We have a friend that was very confused. She mentioned that the pastor said today there are no longer miracles. She felt sad, for she said she felt that she had witness or saw a miracle. Many gifts, have ceased example speaking in tongues, where does miracle fall in this category, do you believe it ceased, and are not for today, or miracles have different sizes, big miracles in the past, smaller miracles today. I believe the pastor could’ve been talking about those miracle pastor workers out there, but I’m not sure because he didn’t specify the type of miracles that weren’t for today. But to come out and say miracles are not for today, like tongues are not for today, wasn’t very good to say for the message that he was bringing. I wasn’t present,  so I asked a person that was also there and she said, yes he did say that. My question for you teachers here, are miracles for today? Twitch Reaction GIF by Hyper RPG

No replies yet, sometimes I believe that we’re afraid to openly speak what in our hearts and minds. For we do not want to be wrong politically or in front of others. I am here to challenge you to fear not. I have the answer to this, and I have no Bible College background.

Jesus CAN do a miracle anytime He wants - however, the miracles associated with the signs and wonders movement are false, and there are no miracle workers today, as those were the signs of an apostle, to give authority to the New Testament books that they were writing.

I know of some miracles today - like my sister's cancer vanishing completely inbetween one check up and the next. The doctors basically said there was nothing else they could do, as the treatments were not working. but the cancer scare got her attention and caused her to seek the Lord and be ready to receive the Gospel shortly thereafter.

Maybe some would call escaping a deadly accident a miracle - or the exact opposite situation: All being destroyed in the crash except the mother's BIble, or in another case after the van burnt up in a fireball, a Ron Hamilton cd with the song Rejoice in the Lord (he makes no mistakes) was found. That find had a tremendous impact on the highway workers that were cleaning up the road afterwards.

Havent been on for years, but have been studying with Jews for Jesus weekly Bible Study which has been wonderful.  Not sure any of your views on that group, but if you are from a Jewish background a great place to be grounded in the word and to learn.

I am a researcher and writer at Watch Unto Prayer which I started 25 years ago. On this website there are many well-documented articles and audio programs by myself and other researchers whose ministry is to expose the endtime apostasy of the Church. Now more than ever Christians need information in order to identify and avoid the various deceptions that are in nearly all the churches.
My husband and I attended the IFB Bible Baptist Church of James Knox a couple of years ago. We left the church after we were informed by the assistant pastor that we were not allowed to express views to other members that do not agree with the views of the pastor and leaders of the church. We were not introducing heresy but expressing our views concerning the State of Israel. We had never been in a church which forbade private conversations on issues where there are diverse opinions. This we recognized as cultlike control of church members. To inform Christians, my husband, who is also a researcher and writer, started a website on the subject: Zionism Exposed: A Watchman Ministry.

Jesus said:"I am the truth, the way, and the life. No man can come to The Father, but by Me."

Brother Tony, I read your reply on Anderson, I know you all think I'm argumentative but, when you don't agree.....the first thought I had is, I wish you would introduce me to the guy that hasn't sinned, maybe David, that had a man killed so he could commit adultery, yet, he was & is a man after Gods own heart, or maybe Paul the guy that persecuted and had Christians killed, or maybe Richg or Kent H, or even you ! I used to listen to personalities also when I was younger but today and for some time, my only concern is, does it line up with scripture & to me its hilarious that you think "I'm in a fix" LOL, I interpreted what we've discussed perfectly, not because I'm smart, but because with an open mind to things of God, its an easy read.
