Members TheGloryLand
I remember there was a church and protestants that started a laughing church service. The preacher start laughing and everybody start laughing are they still around. Maybe they ran out of jokes.
Members BrotherTony
I've never heard of them...at least NOT in the Baptists...I believe I've heard of them in the Universalist church denomination. But, that would have nothing to do with us.
Administrators Jim_Alaska Posted November 3, 2021 Administrators Share Posted November 3, 2021 This is still practiced and is an extension of what some Pentecostals believe is an affirmation of their belief in what they calf "Pentecostal Power" or, the "second blessing of Grace. This is supposed to confirm to others that you have experienced "The Baptism of the Holy Spirit." Nothing Baptistic about it at all. Pentecost and what happened on that day was a "one time" happening, never to be repeated again. Pentecost means "fifty" and points to the fiftieth day from the Resurrection of Christ, which could only happen one time, because there can only be one fiftieth day from His Resurrection. 1 Corinthians 13:8-10 (KJV) Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.
