In an even more aggressive move, President Biden has made it clear that he is not going to stop with just the real assault weapons, he is coming after the 9 mm pistols as well, claiming they're assault weapons as well. This is an attack on our Second Amendment rights, and he knows it. The Socialist left will not be happy until they have taken away any chance of regular American citizens protecting themselves against government tyranny.

Well. I’m not going to arm up against the government. Christians can spread the gospel under communism. 
I’ll vote and be vocal, and I’ll defend my self with my guns, and I’ll be vocal about doing it. But I’m a Christian, not a republican.

I'm FAR from being a Republican. Thankfully the party left my wife and I back in the 80s. We are moderate Independents. There isn't really a party that fits our political views, but most of the time the Republicans are closest.

Some things will first need to be in place before gun confiscation. One that will need to be on place is a police force that will be in lockstep across the board in carrying out gun confiscation. This would be creation of a Federal Police force. Right now, there are 300 "field offices" of the Capital Police force being opened up around America. This is very disturbing yet hardly anyone is mentioning it. Defund and demoralize the local police forces and erect a federal one in its place.

There are already plenty of police who would do a socialist/communist government's every bidding, even to the point of totally disregarding the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. When said government proceeds to implement totalitarianism, they will just fire any officers who dissent and there will be an unlimited supply of thugs eager to take their places.

I agree but plenty of would resist initially. It would be much easier with a federal police force in place.

Oh, I didn't take it that way....that was just for clarification here on the forums. Sorry if you mistook my reply. I understand how you feel about the church and country...I sometimes wonder about why Christians place country above the church myself.

I did not know you were a moderate, they are turning more liberal by the day. Not you, but the party, has there been any updates on where they have gotten with the 9mm issue.

As far as I know, the NRA, TGO (Tennessee Gun Owners), and others are still fighting for ALL of our 2A freedoms. My wife and I are conservative leaning independent moderates and have been so since the middle 1980s when the Republican Party decided to leave a strong, conservative position. With the first Bush Administration came a move towards accepting more liberalism in the party, and the beginning of the move to fall under control of the United Nations and other global organizations, ceding our national sovereignty to others. I make no apologies for where we stand. Not all moderates have been making moves towards liberalism. There is no "Moderate" Party, though some would like people to believe that the Libertarian Party is ours....not hardly. Their platform, though good in some respects is good, but is a disaster in others.

I heard this can be wrong the libertarian party is mostly non-believers. With some good ideas.

The Republican party are also turning more moderate by the day.

Any party is mostly non-believers. But, yes, the Libertarians do have some great ideas. Back in the 1980s I would have voted for Ross Perot, but, he ended up becoming a joke and embarrassment to himself and his supporters.

Who is saying "we are many?" Yes, there are millions who claim to be followers of Christ, but, like Peter, how many will stand firmly in the Lord's corner when the world asks, "Aren't you with Him? Aren't you a Christian?" Many will shrink back in terror when this happens. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.
