you get upset because someone took the last piece of Chicken at the church potluck.

Corollary: A 400 lb IFB preacher preaching on "sacrificing for the Lord".*

* Baptists preacher have as much of a problem with fried foods as a Catholic priest has with wine.

you show up to church 15 minutes late because its fashionable.

No joke, our church's official start time for Sunday School is 945 but it doesn't start till 9 because it takes 15 min for buses get in and kids settled for the service.

You just might be an independent Baptist if....

... if the song leader says.. Please stand, you can't sing Standing on the Promises while sitting on the premises.

...You criticize religions that say their religion is the only way to heaven, but then you act like Baptist are the only ones who will be there.

🤭 Did I just say that?

If you make it to heaven then you were Baptist even if you didn't realize it.

:23_5_103:Yes I said it! lol :23_5_103:

If you have Biblical salvation correct, but you don't hold other Baptistic doctrine, you aren't a Baptist.

Such as? 😏

you can believe in Baptism through some other form than emersion without believing it to be necessary for salvation.

And what group would that be? And what would that group say Baptism represents?

Not speaking of a group, but rather of an individual.

Ah, so a person with private interpretations. Anything is possible to believe even when its not consistent with any tradition of faith. However legitimate baptism requires a church to join which practices it. If no church practices what an individual believes about baptism then its an opinion on a church matter that doesn't matter.

Never said the person was right, I just said they can still go to heaven. Baptists will not be the only ones in heaven. And contrary to what some may believe, All the Christians in the world that have the right doctrine are not necessarily Baptist. Look, I'm an Independent Baptist. I know why I'm an Independent Baptist, and I will most likely be an Independent Baptist until the day I die. But I'm Baptist Because I'm a Bible believer, I'm not a Bible Believer because I'm a Baptist.

Anyway, I digress. I wouldn't have pursued this dialog except for the fact that is the personification of exactly what I said. Independent Baptist seem to think they'll be the only ones in Heaven.

Havent been on for years, but have been studying with Jews for Jesus weekly Bible Study which has been wonderful.  Not sure any of your views on that group, but if you are from a Jewish background a great place to be grounded in the word and to learn.

I am a researcher and writer at Watch Unto Prayer which I started 25 years ago. On this website there are many well-documented articles and audio programs by myself and other researchers whose ministry is to expose the endtime apostasy of the Church. Now more than ever Christians need information in order to identify and avoid the various deceptions that are in nearly all the churches.
My husband and I attended the IFB Bible Baptist Church of James Knox a couple of years ago. We left the church after we were informed by the assistant pastor that we were not allowed to express views to other members that do not agree with the views of the pastor and leaders of the church. We were not introducing heresy but expressing our views concerning the State of Israel. We had never been in a church which forbade private conversations on issues where there are diverse opinions. This we recognized as cultlike control of church members. To inform Christians, my husband, who is also a researcher and writer, started a website on the subject: Zionism Exposed: A Watchman Ministry.

Brother Tony, I read your reply on Anderson, I know you all think I'm argumentative but, when you don't agree.....the first thought I had is, I wish you would introduce me to the guy that hasn't sinned, maybe David, that had a man killed so he could commit adultery, yet, he was & is a man after Gods own heart, or maybe Paul the guy that persecuted and had Christians killed, or maybe Richg or Kent H, or even you ! I used to listen to personalities also when I was younger but today and for some time, my only concern is, does it line up with scripture & to me its hilarious that you think "I'm in a fix" LOL, I interpreted what we've discussed perfectly, not because I'm smart, but because with an open mind to things of God, its an easy read.
