One false doctrine admits another...

On a Facebook page, I've been in discussion with a group that believes in both preterism and "regenerational baptism", the false belief that one is not saved til baptized. That confirms a theory of mine that believing one false doctrine of faith/worship keeps a "foot in the door" for other FDs to come in.

The worst of these, IMHO, is "regenerational baptism", which ignores Jesus' saving the repentant thief on the cross who couldn't possible be baptized. (I believe Jesus purposely preserved that incident in Scripture to be an example for us.)  While, as a Baptist, I believe every new Christian SHOULD be baprized by immersion in water ASAP,  I also believe that baptizing an unsaved person only produces a wet sinner.

As for preterism, it's so silly I won'y comment about it in this forum without being requested to do so.

That's why I work against false doctrines of faith/worship, to attempt to help stop people from believing one so strongly that they become chock-full of them.
