28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.

When we married, my wife tried to change me, and I tried to change her. To make a long story short, the truth of those verses finally dawned on me.

After I gave up my own desires and accepted her for who she was, life was much better.

Well put NN. No one can change another. Especially in the marriage realm this is true. The only person I can change is ME!

The actions of others can effect change.  I suppressed the truth in unrighteousness with regards to abortion and the existence of God until I saw my 2nd daughter on an ultrasound photo at 6 weeks of age.  Six years later she enrolled at a Christian school and those biblical songs sung by her, her sisters and classmates softened my cold and hard heart and soon after I surrendered and was born again.
