Materialism is the rampant False Religion

The accumulation of things or idols made with hands is surely the False religion of Today, or lets say the End Times.

For as in previous generations, the ungodly and even the seemingly godly have always been into the HERE and NOW rather than the ETERNAL possessions of spiritual values, as with humility, courage, wisdom, love etc etc...

The religion of the vast majority whether in the West or the East is MATERIALISM and they dedicate their lives to gathering it so they can either die with it or pass it on theoretically to their families. Sometimes they blatantly are cargo cults, sometimes just preaching ' prosperity is godliness doctrines', or sometimes just talking among themselves that 'they are so blessed for all their things and conditions.' And not like the poor and despised because obviously they say they must be sinners for being born in such wretched countries or being placed in such horrible conditions and poverty.

They align themselves with a religion that justifies their materialistic goals and align themselves with a nationality grouping that further allows them without limit to just accumulate wealth, via devious means such as *** or *** or *****. Hence they can do so without hesitation and with a zeal of supposed religious obediance.

Just my opinion from scriptures (including Revelation) and from real life and current events..

Or is godliness gain and a proof of godliness in all cases ?

Jesus said, Blessed are the poor for theirs is the kingdom of God and they shall inherit the kingdom of God, not the rich.

The rich, Paul said, trust in their riches rather than in the Lord. The poor Paul said, were rich in FAITH, but they get criticized by the rich as being poor ONLY because of their disobediances and sins.

Jesus told the rich man wanting to follow him, to give up his riches and then he could follow the Lord. The rich man declined and did not follow the Lord.

So are riches a hindrance in following the LORD or a help.?

Some rich followed the Lord, a doctor, a tax colllector,  a Sanhedrin member, but very very few, as most of his disciples were poor in the begining.....and as disciples all forsook all to become disciples and THEN followed HIM.

So whatever dont let the rich condemn you if you are poor, just trust the Lord and follow HIM ?

IMHO
