Members Baptistsenior
Galatians 1:8-9King James Version (KJV) says; 8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 9 As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. Not wanting to start a fight here, but would Calvanism be included in the 'other gospel' category?

Members Pastor Scott Markle
IF we are talking about Calvinism specifically concerning the doctrine of salvation, and IF we are talking about the full reformed-theology version thereof, then I would answer - YES. On the other hand, are there some who would classify themselves as "so many-point Calvinists," about whose position I would NOT consider it to be a different gospel? Again I answer -- YES. Nice distinction, I don't consider myself Calvanist or Arminian, just plain old New Testament Baptist. With that said, I always loved Charles Spurgeon and sometimes stated that I could be a Spurgeon Calvanist.
