Brother Stafford,

Hello! I do hope that all is well with you.

Concerning how to witness to Catholics. John R. Rice, the Sword of the Lord, wrote a booklet called, Dear Catholic Friend," that may be appropriate. Here is the Sword of the Lord website with the booklet. : http://www.swordbooks.com/falsedoctrine.aspx

Let us know if you find other material that you find suitable for your needs.

God bless!

Alan

Catholics respond to love, concern and honesty, sincereity etc...hard core ones may never be won to the Lord, some may already be saved according to their prayers to the Lord as their Saviour, some may not know they are saved, and sure almost all will be rather babe like in their belief system...but then again if poor can have GREAT FAITH in the Lord because of their dependence on HIM in prayer and reality, so you have to know the individual as in almost all cases of witnessing, at least long term witnessing. If short term and just blasting away because of the corrupt Catholic church system, it usually doesnt work but again, sometimes nothing ventured nothing gained.

Its a mine field but the Holy Ghost can give you discernment for each individual sheep, for they each are individuals before the Lord, which means you might not be able to go by mere labeling, but may have to hear from the Lord individually for them if you truly care for them..

Also do note, as with <Muslims etc etc Jews etc etc... you have to watch it because a religious change can mean excommunication in their lives, families, jobs etc... be wise as doves and sheep IMO

Catholics are just people, like any other that have been exposed to false religion. If you have a "usual" way of approaching people to witness to them, there is no reason that the usual way should not work.

Please consider that you do have a "leg up", or sort of a head start because of your Catholic upbringing. What I mean in this respect is simply that you should already know what they believe and why they believe it. You can easily contrast this knowledge with the truth that you now possess and effectively speak to the truth versus error between ritualistic religion and the truth of God's Holy Word.

It is wise to remember that there will be a difference between witnessing to a Catholic and someone that has not been exposed to any religion, because they may have to be shown the fallacy of doctrinal error as opposed to the truth. The order of the day would then be; tread lightly at first and lovingly always.

 2Tim 2:24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,
 25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;
 26 And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.
