Members 1611mac
I see there is a "Hide" option a user can apply to his/her replies. Does is completely "hide" the post so others don't even know it was there? Or does it "flag" it as "hidden post" to others and not show content? Members DaveW
It hides it so that only the mods can see it. We used to be able to "lock" a thread we have started, but that seems to have gone.......
Members 1611mac
And there is no indicator to anyone that a particular post has been "hidden?"

None...except for the moderators. A moderator asked me to "unhide" a post that I had hidden once. Even I couldn't see it any longer...even though I was the one who hid it. The moderator had to "unhide" it for me. Edited March 7, 2017 by No Nicolaitans
Members 1611mac
Yeah.. I don't care for that. People should be allowed to edit only, leaving at least a record that a post had been there and letting people know it had been edited. Thanks for your reply. I appreciate it much. Administrators Jim_Alaska Posted March 7, 2017 Administrators Share Posted March 7, 2017 I'm not sure why the "hide" feature is even an option on some forums. It wold seem to me that if someone didn't want their text or post to be seen any longer, they could just edit and delete it totally. That is what I usually do if I want the text or post to go away.
