Administrators Pastor Matt Posted March 20, 2015 Administrators Share Posted March 20, 2015 (edited) Since Resurrection Sunday/Easter is not too far away, I though I would ask this question. What does your church call this Sunday? This topic is only to see what name your church uses. To discuss this topic about "Easter" Use this thread. http://www.onlinebaptist.com/home/topic/23204-easter/ Edited March 20, 2015 by BroMatt

Members Alan
Here on Taiwan, the Chinese call it. 復活節 For those brethren that are somewhat rusty in their Chinese language reading skills, translated that means, "Resurrection Holiday."May everybody, no matter what country they are in, Have a Happy Easter. Administrators HappyChristian Posted March 29, 2015 Administrators Share Posted March 29, 2015 (edited) We use both for the simple reason that we have folks who have never heard it called Resurrection Day. Just this morning I was talking to my third graders about the short program they are presenting next week and explained that many people call the day Easter, but that it is the annual recognition of Jesus' resurrection, hence Resurrection Day. Many of the kids in my class know only the bunny and candy. They are not all from Christian homes so it's understandable. But I want them to understand what the day is truly about. My hubs explains at nursing home the same thing. As has our pastor. Members 2bLikeJesus
Resurrection Day, but like HC mentioned we do have to define the term and it's replacement of Easter as the name for the celebration to some of the bus kids. Members DaveW
By the way, taking it from the timing of Passover, Resurrection Sunday is next sunday, not the one just past.
