Seeing as how they haven't been getting along for years and they have not hid their feelings for one another maybe Obama thinks it is his turn to do the snubbing because of Netanyahu's latest snub.  They seem to be acting like children instead of the heads of supposedly friendly nations.  Politics is politics.  :(

Which is one of the reasons why this snub shouldn't happen. Obama hates those who don't worship him and bow to his whims which is the main reason for his obsession with taking shots at Putin and much of the reason for his dislike for Bibi.

Obama has taken the time to welcome some rather unsavory people that didn't deserve to be welcomed at the White House. He should at least give a polite welcome to Bibi but his pride and love of Islam prevents him from doing what is right.

I don't know how much I could trust politico for truth when covering conservative views http://www.breitbart.com/big-journalism/2012/06/27/politico-front-page-all-in-obama/

Just saying.

NO

It's rude and immoral, Israel is our ally, and they're God's nation.

You can't expect an Islamist or Islamist sympathizer to consider Israel as God's nation, deserving of his good attention.

'God's nation' is full of lost people. Worse than America percentage wise, no doubt. They are enemies according to the gospel. But desired souls because of God's love for the lost.

I don't know how accurate they are, but many are reporting a growing openness to the Gospel in Israel and a growing number accepting Christ. How many of these (and the numbers/percentages actually are small) are really being born again in Christ is questionable. Many who convert to Messianic Judaism are counted as new Christians even if they may not actually be born again and they are part of the Messianic Judaism which is akin to the Judaisers the earliest Christians had to contend with.

Most Jews in Israel are secular Jews or consider themselves to be ethnic, non-religious Jews. These tend to look down upon Christians and Orthodox Jews.

Israel is a complicated country and what one often hears from those who have actually been there tends to be very different from what one hears of Israel on the news or from groups or organizations which speak (pro or con) about Israel.

Yes, we know that.  They always have been. Doesn't change the fact that they're God's chosen nation.

They were God's chosen nation to give the oracles of God to the world, and to bring forth the Savior Jesus Christ.

Their job was finished at the cross, and now God's chosen 'nation' are Christians. God blessed Israel with the blessings he promised, while they were being used by him to accomplish his will of 'salvation for those who would believe the gospel of Jesus Christ'.

Making up a future 'nation' to make scriptures look like they say one thing when they say another is 'corruption' against God's purpose of letting a people be his tool so that the rest of us may be saved.

Besides, as of 2014 the US had 5.7 million Jews, compared to Israel at 5.7 million. Doesn't sound like all Israel is in their own land anyway.

Each individual "Jew" must come to Jesus or die without Him and go to Hell; same as everyone else. And I know all about us being "children of Abraham" by faith and the new birth. But God is not finished with the nation of Israel.

Note the Government response in full.

Note too - "Back to schools in Palestine after 3 months of annual summer vacation, back to completely or partially destroyed Schools but not spirits, will and determination...10s of Palestinian schools in Gaza were completely or partially destroyed by Zionist occupation forces airstrikes and shells during the Zionist criminal war on Gaza last summer, 27 August 2015."

Sir, the Arabs began attacking Israel since before the nation was officially reestablished in 1948. They're still doing it with suicide bombings, rocket attacks etc... The military offensives in Gaza, last year, were a response to the constant harassment, kidnappings, murders and rocket attacks.

I don't think it will be profitable for the forum to continue this exchange - I did not start the thread. But I think you will find that the Israelis are winning 100-fold in "the constant harassment, kidnappings, murders and rocket attacks."

Being opposed to Israel's actions with regard to settlement expansion, destruction of Palestinian property, restriction of water supply, etc, is not antisemitic, it is a concern for justice. Michah 6:8

Edit to add:

Letter from Congress Member Betty McCollum regarding the Israeli Border Police murder of 2 Palestinian teenagers.

I'm not an "anything Israel does is okay" person, but in the case of that war it was the Palestinians who started it, they who refused to stop, they who chose to base their attacks from schools and other civilian locations, they who refuse to use the billions of dollars they receive in aid to tend to the important infrastructure needs.

Israel is doing nothing America or England hasn't done countless times over the years and still does today.

I've seen no evidence of Israeli war crimes in that war.
