I don't suspect tribbles would be very good to eat, because, since they are born pregnant, they would just be a ball of fur filled with tiner balls of fur. Not much room for meat in there! Maybe that's why the Klingons didn't like them-if you can't eat it or fight it, what's the point of it?

I guess I would make a lousy Jew since the "hare" was unclean...

Leviticus 11:6 (KJV)
6  And the hare, because he cheweth the cud, but divideth not the hoof; he is unclean unto you.

Bro. Garry

If I had hare and it was unclean I used Suave or Pert Plus. Any kind of shampoo does pretty well for this. I don't know what they used back in Bible times.

Smile today!!!  God loves you!!!

I liked it in the beginning but as I got older the Star Trek series either seemed to get more and more liberal and socialistic in content or I got more and more conservative so I stopped liking it.

Being a sort of addict to good science fiction writing Tte Star Wars junk was always just a little to juvenile for me.

So all in all I will have to vote for bummies even though chicken is more tender.

True-the original was like, :"Fly through space, fight bad guys, and kiss the alien women", It was pretty simple, though from time to time they did deal with issues like overpopulation and war and such, but it always becamse Kirk beating someone up and kissing some green woman who looked like Batgirl or Catwoman, (yes, Yvonne Craig and Julie Newmar were both on the original series)

Okay...I was waiting on someone to bring up what really matters, but no one has.

All this talk of which one is best...Star Wars or Star Trek?

Really?

There's nothing to decide in this matter!

What's wrong with you people?

Everyone knows that when you compare the alien languages of Star Wars with the alien languages of Star Trek...Star Trek wins...HANDS DOWN!

As for entertainment I prefer the movies of Star Trek, yet the adventures in the Star War movies are entertaining too.

I remember as a child, when seeing Star Trek on TV, how boring it seemed. But as I grew in some knowledge of our 'existence', it lured me

into seeking exciting types of wisdom about 'what's out there', and I think led me to seek 'something out there', eventually leading me to

'He who is out there'.

I love learning, and learning led me to truth, truth about the Lord Jesus Christ. I am not saying Star Trek is 'godly', I am saying that learning

to expand my 'horizon' on the existence and the vastness of things, like our solar system and 'space', deepened my desire to 'know, what this Russ had not known before'.

I can relate to that. In my youth I would watch Star Trek on TV and ponder what might be out there. Then the Star Wars movies came out and Close Encounters of the Third Kind and those got me thinking even more.

One time at a funeral visitation a cousin and I went out and sat in a car and we went from talking about the death of our relative to talking about space. Contemplating the vastness of space became our focus and we were wondering could space go on forever? How could something have no ending?

Then I wondered if space did have an end, what then? What if some light years away we found a wall of solid rock? Space ends at that wall of rock. What would we do then? Well, we would certainly want to know if that rock wall surrounded the whole of our space and would try to find out. We would also want to know just how thick that rock wall is and whether it goes on forever (there we go with forever and no ending again!) or if there is anything on the other side.

Such "deep thoughts" (very deep to my young mind) had me realizing I had no answers and that led me to thinking of God and what (little) I knew of Him from Methodist Sunday school.

Looking back I can see how the Lord was preparing me, through many means and ways, for that Sunday night in 1981 when I would come to so clearly see my sinfulness and need of salvation and be born again in Christ.

Praise God they do indeed! One of my clearest memories of the time shortly after I was saved is of how God's creation seemed almost new to me. I remember marveling at the beauty of the sky while mowing, the sense of awe as I looked at the night sky while camping and laying on a dark hilltop, the wonder of brilliant sunsets and bright sunrises.

It was like God was shouting to me through His creation and calling me to enjoy all He made in a whole new way.
