A banned individual can still post?

Auto feed from his site......

I don't think "he" can post, and I would assume if he was to "sly post" through his feed they would cut it.

Wow, great article in the original post link! I admin several facebook groups and have recognized similarities in the accounts of people that later ended up being trolls. They often support people like James White and appear to vehemently hate KJO people like Will Kinney. Some people no doubt think I am paranoid but your article definitely supports my contention that these types of accounts are showing up in various social media ... whether given the Jesuit or the Anon label ... the fact is, this is happening actively.

It was a great article. Why was James Ach banned? Because he called out who was spreading Calvinism and other heresies? And had the knowledge to defend himself and other supporters against the trolls? Not right. He's very knowledgeable and Biblically correct from everything I've read of his. I always appreciated all the work he would put into his replies and they were always scripturally based and quoted.

IMO banning him was a mistake.

No, that's not why. And it's done, so let's just move on.

Polite...eh, he gets his digs in too, he just does not have a "loud" personality.

Respectful....eh, he can sling a few names here and there as well as anybody can...but again, he is "nice" so he gets away with it.

But the REAL prOBlem is that he is advancing a false teaching regarding the Bible - he is a preterist, and he is a-millennial.  His abuse of Scripture is nauseating.

hmmm...

this reminds of Romans 16:17-18 - it is not the "loud OBnoxious" guy that we have to worry about - they are right up front with what they believe.

The people the Bible warns us about are the ones who TALK NICE - "through good words and fair speeches."

The Bible is to be taught dogmatically and authoritatively.  Further, Pastors - who by definition are shepherds - are to warn their congregation of the wolves who might try to disguise themselves as sheep.  This means the pastor must NAME NAMES, and put that false teaching in full view for what it is.  There is no "nice" way of doing this.

Unfortunately, carnal Christians who are more concerned about their "feelings" and about being "nice and polite" view the Shepherd who is protecting his sheep from some slick "wolf in sheep's clothing" as antagonistic and mean.  Jesus Christ was mean and rude toward the false teachers of His day, and the Apostle Paul, Peter, and John warned against the false teachers of their day by naming the names, and telling us what that false teaching was.

I say all that to say this - just because Covenanter is "polite and respectful" does not mean he is RIGHT.  I would rather be RIGHT than be "nice and respectful" if I had the choice.  Preferably, we would like to be BOTH "right" AND "nice and respectful."  BUt if I could only have one side of that equation, then I will take the "right" side any day of the week.

I do not say this to be antagonistic toward Covenanter; I say it to show that being "nice and respectful" does not go very far for some of us here, when the "nice and respectful" person is teaching something that is false.

When false teaching is pushed for a very long time, despite many reasonable attempts at refuting said teaching, the false teacher, with all of his "niceties and respectfulness" provokes the good teachers to anger.  Then the carnal "feelings" oriented Christian reacts to the TONE of the person, and dismisses them because they were "mean."  They listen to the "nice" person because he is "nice."  They dismiss all of the Scriptural arguments, and make a decision based on a person's personality and tone of voice.

Sad, but true.  It does happen.

I am not accusing anyone here of basing their decisions upon anyone's "tone of voice," but we would be naïve to think that it does not happen.

It does - and all too often.

In Christ,

It "scares" you that  BIble Believing pastor has convictions about Bible Doctrine???

What is scary about that?  It should be NORMAL.  Every Bible Believing Baptist Pastor should be loudly proclaiming Bible Doctrine from the pulpit.  It should not be an anomaly, but normative.

Come on guys... are we really going to start this all over again? Like OFP mentioned earlier, the mods are working through ideas on how best to handle opposing doctrines. It will take a bit of time to get these implemented - please allow us the time to work on them. (And by that I do not mean ask us again tomorrow!) In the meantime, refrain from questioning mod decisions and try to discuss doctrine instead of fellow users. Please.
