Moderators Salyan Posted August 13, 2013 Moderators Share Posted August 13, 2013 We're having a special Week of Evangelism this week, distributing John & Romans in advance with an invitation to a special service next Sunday, then following up with a visit later in the week. Today a couple of our young men were following up on a street that got blitzed yesterday... and they were able to lead a young Catholic fellow to the Lord! Whoo-hoo! Please be in prayer for Steven, especially that he will come out to church and be able to grow in the Lord.

Guest
Door to door, I pray more will do it. Matthew 9:38 Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.
Moderators Salyan Posted August 15, 2013 Author Moderators Share Posted August 15, 2013 Y'all could also be in prayer for Tyler. Last night a couple of the ladies were able to thoroughly show him the gospel, and he appeared to agree with it, but at the end, when asked if there was anything keeping him from trusting Christ now, he said he didn't have time. After 20 minutes of witnessing! Pray he follows through on what he has been told. Our pastor and another fellow stopped at one house last night to follow up on the invitation. The lady of the house told them that, although they didn't go to church, her 6-year-old daughter 'loved Jesus' and had read through the John & Romans already. (!!!!) Her daughter came bounding downstairs, all excited to meet the men that 'were with Jesus'. They said they'd come out to church on Sunday - praying that they will! It's been neat to see the turnout this week. There's been 6-8 soulwinning teams each night, plus others blitzing and a good core group of moms and kids at the church stuffing flyers and praying. Not to forget the fellowship and ball-playing each night after. It'd be neat to see that on a regular basis at Great Commission Night. The church will also be going to Whyte Avenue (a popular artsy neighborhood) this weekend. There's a sort of theatre festival going on, and they have permission to play music, possible street preach, and hand out tracts. I'm missing it, unfortunately, but I know they'd appreciate all the prayer you could spare!
