I was also researching the articles on the book, "The Harbinger," and was able to get the article by, "Lighthouse Trails Research." It was a very good article and helped understand more about the book, the prophecy of Isiah 9:10 and 11, and Israel and America.

After reading most of the (old as you stated), posts above, I am of the persuasion to agree with the analysis and conslusion of Lighthouse Trails Reasearch. I do need to add that I have not read the book and because I cannot buy it in Taiwan I probably will not read it any time soon. Below is the link to the article in Lighthouse Trails.

my opinion . I believe we all could write a book of some sort concerning America today and have people argue over it.

it's a worthless waste of ones time spent when one should be reading and studying Gods word and in prayer allowing Him to reveal His truths to us.

just my opinion though.

This has been big business for lots of folks over the years. I still remember the books I read in the 80s which were written in the 70s and 80s. They were filled with speculation about America, the end times, how the Soviet Union was going to usher in the end, how an impoverished China was going to spend their money blocking off a river so their poor army could travel across on horses. All sorts of books about the American Apache attack helicopter being described in the book of Revelation, and the Soviet Union clearly in there too.

Speculation and guessing games and trying to declare every contemporary thing to be a sign from God isn't what we are called to do and actually harms the cause of Christ.

Right after the Supreme Court legalized homosexual "marriage" many people took pictures of rainbows and claimed that was a sign from God that He approved. They got this idea from Christians on social media sites who constantly post pictures of rainbows and claims they are a sign of God approving some particular political action.

We would be so much better off reading the Word, praying over the Word and living in accord with the Word

I'm familiar with the basic points of the Harbinger........the story doesn't much interest me, the historical facts which most of us watched on national news still amaze me and it seems obvious that God is warning the USA of judgment if she does not repent.   I have used those facts as a witnessing tool the same way many people use current political events which strongly coincide with end times prophecy.  It seemed obvious to me that God was warning America against using coercive pressure for weakening compromise by Israel with it's enemies....obvious when the Towers were destroyed within 24 hrs ...I think it was shortly before the scheduled meeting....when Bush was supposed to meet with Israel and it's enemies for Israel to compromise with it's enemies.  How could anybody (Christian) see the news of the big peace deal to be signed one day and then the Towers disaster the next day and not think ....."hmmmm, maybe God is warning America."

 

I'm really not interested in the Harbinger book or the heretical teachings or questionable methods of the author.  The historical facts are undeniable, and I knew it was bad...bad being an understatement...when I watched on TV  two or three of our congressional leaders stand up in defiance and quote from Isaiah the very passage the Jews stated in defiance against God who had sent them a warning attack from their enemies.  In both case the show of defiance was feigned to be against the earthly enemies but in reality God allowed those enemies to attack and the defiance is against God, a declaration of arrogance. 

 

Why people only want to criticize the Author rather than acknowledge and discuss the apparent warnings from God in the many historical facts that go way beyond  coincidence .....I don't know.    I do know a lot of people who think the USA can never fall.....even while the nation is pretty much nothing like the nation founded under the US constitution and is practically fallen already.   I think people are just afraid to face the fact of rising facism ruling over America while we follow much the same path Germany followed leading to Hitler.

Christians today are for the most part just burying their heads in the sand or watching it all happen knowing what is happening and acting like it's not real.  We are losing our freedom to actively evangelize and make disciples and on the verge of being driven underground.   I really hope the Lord returns and takes us out of here before things get too bad, but I really think Christians are in for getting some fire placed under their feet for real because they have done so much over the decades to quench revival fires.
