You know how it is, you can hear anything, & when it comes to the Bible that's so true. If the person is right, there's no need to buy a harp, she said when we get to heaven, they will hand out harps, & everyone will be setting around playing their harp.

Is that before or after we get our angel wings? :eye: :eye:

I don't know of any verse in the Bible which says we will play harps. So I'm skeptical of anyone who says we will. But who knows? The Bible does say that eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. So I'm sure, if there is music, it's going to be far more wonderful than anything we could imagine. But I would like to try my hand at one down here just the same. We used to play a little recording entitled "Wee Kids" for our children and every time that simple little song "Little David Play Your Harp" started playing I'd almost have a Holy Ghost fit! :) I can play fingerstyle/classical stuff on an acoustic guitar and a twelve string guitar can make it sound more ethereal, but neither of them can sound like a harp.

Not sure, they did not tell me that part, they might line us up like they did at Lackland AFB, at about midnight, issue us everything, send us to bed about 3:00 AM, wake us at 4:00 AM, to start training on the harp while we flap our new wings..

I remembered!

Mansions Over the Hilltop

I'm satisfied with just a cottage below
A little silver and a little gold;
But in that city where the ransomed will shine,
I want a gold one that's silver lined.
I want a mansion just over the hilltop,
In that bright land where we'll never grow old.
And someday yonder we will never more wander
But walk on streets that are purest gold.

Though often tempted, tormented, and tested,
And like the prophet my pillow a stone;
And though I find here no permanent dwelling,
I know He'll give me a mansion my own.
I want a mansion just over the hilltop,
In that bright land where we'll never grow old.
And someday yonder we will never more wander
But walk on streets that are purest gold.

Don't think me poor or deserted or lonely,
I'm not discouraged, I'm heavenbound.
I'm just a pilgrim in search of a city,
I want a mansion, a harp and a crown.
I want a mansion just over the hilltop,
In that bright land where we'll never grow old.
And someday yonder we will never more wander
But walk on streets that are purest gold.
