Members JerryNumbers
Happy Birthday to your wife, yet I am not to keen on a spot of tea. Back years ago a fellow truck driver, anytime we stopped for coffee, he would have a spot of tea. I've tried it a few times, it just does not seem to hit the spot. Members Invicta
Happy birthday from the Garden of England. I am drinking tea at the moment, but in a large mug, not a cup.

Administrators HappyChristian Posted February 13, 2012 Administrators Share Posted February 13, 2012 Happy belated birthday to your wife! I'm getting ready to fix myself a cup of tea - I do like tea! If you guys ever get up this way to NWI, she and I'll have to have a pot of tea together! You and my hubby can have coffee. :coffee:
Guest
Thank everyone for the well wishes. I'll pass it on. Happy, she would enjoy NWI if it included a tour of Chicago but, she would enjoy sipping tea in England at Invicta's more. Nothing personal she enjoys the travel when opportunities arise. Now me, I would rather have the coffee with Happy's husband. quinkie, I think the appropriate response to you is "I O". Thank you Blessed from TN, beautiful state. I really enjoy Gatlinburg. John, thank you for the wishes, I'm not sure where you hail from or near. For some reason I think maybe PA. Jerry, I didn't say thanks but...thanks now, parts of Arkansas are very beautiful. Now let's close this thread before it becomes a favorite hangout
Members JerryNumbers
I found in my truck driving days that no state has the corner of being pretty. All states seems to have much in them that is beautiful, & of course, some not so pretty places. And of course what is pretty to one, may not be pretty to another. Yet I've got to say, there is no place measures up like home, & I will be happy when I go home.
Members Invicta
There's No Place Like Home eh Jerry? On the last night of the proms, they always used to have a selection of sea shanties (no for the last 3 years) and one was There's No Place Like Home. You can just imagine a matelot thinking of his home. Do we think of our heavenly home as we should? By the way, did you know that was originally a hymn tune? Notice I stated, “I will be happy when I go home.” Php 3:20 For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: Of course right now I’m at my temporary home, yet my conversation is really in heaven, & I will be happy when I get to go “Home.” When We All Get To Heaven Sing the wondrous song of Jesus, Sing His mercy and His grace, In the mansions, bright and blessed, He'll prepare us a place, When we all get to heaven, What a day of rejoicing that will be! When we all see Jesus, We'll sing and shout the victory. While we walk the priglrims pathway, Clouds will overspread the sky, But when traveling days are over, Not a shadow, not a sigh. When we all get to heaven, What a day of rejoicing that will be! When we all see Jesus, We'll sing and shout the victory. Let us them be true and failthfu, Trusting, serving every day, Just one glimspe of Him in glory, With the toils of life repay, When we all get to heaven, What a day of rejoicing that will be! When we all see Jesus, We'll sing and shout the victory. Onward to the prize before us, Soon His beauty we will behold, Soon the pearly gates will open, We shall tread the streets of gold. When we all get to heaven, What a day of rejoicing that will be! When we all see Jesus, We'll sing and shout the victory. This World is Not My Home (I'M JUST A PASSING THRU) Arr. J.R. Baxter Jr. c1946 This world is not my home, I'm just a-passing thru, My treasures are laid up, Somewhere beyond the blue; The angels beckon me from Heaven's open door, And I can't feel at home in this world any more. O Lord, I know, I have no friend like you, If heaven's not my home, O Lord what can I do? The angels beckon me from heaven's open door, And I can't feel at home in this world any more. My Savior pardoned me from guilt and shame I know, I'll trust His saving grace while trav'ling here below; I know he'll welcome me at heaven's open door, And I can't feel at home in this world any more. O Lord, I know, I have no friend like you, If heaven's not my home, O Lord what can I do? The angels beckon me from heaven's open door, And I can't feel at home in this world any more I have a precious mother up in glory land, I don't expect to stop until I clasp her hand; For me she's now in heaven's open door, And I can't feel at home in this world anymore. O Lord, I know, I have no friend like you, If heaven's not my home, O Lord what can I do? The angels beckon me from heaven's open door, And I can't feel at home in this world any more The saints in glory land are shouting victory, I want to join their band and live eternally; I hear the sweetest praise from heaven's open door, And I can't feel at home in this world any more. O Lord, I know, I have no friend like you, If heaven's not my home, O Lord what can I do?
