I've read several books and listened to several sermons this year on the subject of the end times, the Second Coming and such. Most seem to agree that before a pre-trib Rapture, we will see the beginnings of what will come to a head during the Tribulation.

While we have always had wars, famines, disease, earthquakes and such; most believe these will become more frequent and/or worse in nature as the Tribulation approaches.

How many years of peace has the earth known in the past several decades? Let's narrow it down, how many years of real peace has American known in the past several decades? Even during those times when there was no outright major war going on, in most cases America wasn't fully at peace either.

What has America experienced in recent decades with regards to tornados, hurricanes, droughts, floodings and earthquakes?

What is the condition of the American economy, her position in the world, the church in her land, the leadership?

What should our response be to all that we see and hear about?

Jeremiah 17:7-10

Even in these days the one thing we must not cease to do is tell others of the saving power of Jesus blood sacrifice for us.

According to Jesus' Olivet prophecy, earthquakes & wars are NOT signs of the end, nor the second coming ..... but of the beginning of sorrows prior to the destruction. BUT they haven't ceased down the ages.

Mat 24:6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all [these things] must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
8 All these [are] the beginning of sorrows.

Mar 13:7 And when ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, be ye not troubled: for [such things] must needs be; but the end [shall] not [be] yet.
8 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these [are] the beginnings of sorrows.

We live in a world under judgement, condemned already.

We live in a world under judgement, condemned already.

God may be judging other nations however, I don't see His hand of blessing or correction on the United States. I think the U.S. is now in a position of neither help nor harm from God. We are such an evil and corrupt nation we've been left to swim in our own mistakes. God has removed His hand of protection and turned us over to a reprobate mind. We as a nation are far removed from the will, blessings, and correction of God.
