This has turned a little bit from essentials to the Baptist flag. When asked I showed it. Why do we use it, a several of reasons are, 1) It stands for our beliefs and basic doctrines which are contrary to that of the majority of "Christian" churches/denominations. 2)It sets us apart from the ecumenical movement. 3) Have you ever tried to fly a Bible from a flag pole? I do wave it in the pulpit the King James Bible.

As to MV's, one of the reasons, other than it attacks on the deity of Christ, salvation by grace, etc.(whole other topic for a whole other thread) we don't use or condone the NIV, I=International.
