Members OFIB Preacher
The scriptures you mention are of a different dispensation. We are under grace and I certainly don't want to go back to an older dispensation. Were you replying to me? If so, I fail to see what you meant. I don't want to go back to another dispensation, either! Maybe, you weren't replying to me? If so, please address who you were and don't worry about it. Members Wilchbla
Why does it seem like God allows, possibly even supports, polygamy in the OT? Paul said that God allowed a lot of wickedness in the OT because of the hardness and ignorance of man's heart but now commands all men in every place to repent. Acts 17:30 There is no more cloak for sin. I guess Gary DeMar would call this "dispensation evolution". Anyway, it was prOBably the elite that practiced polygamy. The common man prOBably only had one wife.
