Members kevinmiller
Right on, most lost people do not want to hear it. I've found by experience, if you hark on it, them they will avoid you and you will not ever have another opportunity with them. With a lost person you have to be careful, or you will drive them away. If we can handle the situation properly we can throw in bits and pieces without driving them away. That is something we have to use godly wisdom on, and with each lost person it can vary. I know of one pastor of which many lost people avoid like the plague, for he harks on them the moment he confronts them, where ever it is. They hate to see him coming. I agree with you(see, it happens!) I think a lot of pastors turn people off from the moment they open their mouths. Jesus never used harsh words when speaking to the lost. Rather, we see Christ serving them and meeting their needs and then telling them to "go and sin no more" or "your faith has made you well." Members Madeline
Also, most of these behavioral issues are matters of individual conscience in my view, and not matters to be judged or prejudged or "run by" the pastor.

Members amblivion
They're the only threads that get replies so it gives all of us not-yet-employed people something to do. I'm already half-way finished reorganizing my entire room(bedroom + office). lol Amen to that brother! I hate jOB hunting. I am getting so desperate I might have to become a burger flipper with a college degree!!

I'm already half-way finished reorganizing my entire room(bedroom + office). lol Hey, I can work AND type. LOL I'm sipping coffee, teaching math and phonics, and correcting papers, making plans via e-mails with my hubby and checking out what's happening on OB all at the same time. I'm gonna have to go soon, though, I'm running out of coffee, and my desk is going to collapse if I don't organize it soon. At least I can still see the computer screen! Members bzmomo7
Women sure can multi-task. lol, yup........we HAVE to, in order to survive. Gotta go and get all my ducks in a row. Planning a mega shopping trip tonight. (Hubby and I shop at night so that we can take the car empty.......otherwise with all those critters we have, we would not have room for that two cartfuls of groceries!) Members speerjp1
But it's okay because we all agree that we should evangelize the lost, we need preaching, and we need to be witnesses. Good way for a thread to end up.

Members Invicta
Wow, a 40 to 60 minute sermon would kill me. lol If you want to teach salvation every week to Christians, more power to ya. I'm just saying, it's unnecessary and, IMO, distracts from the purpose of the message. My friend who is pastor of a Chinese church in the Philippines, said on taking up the pastorate, "The Chinese don't think you have done your jOB if you preach less than an hour."
