  1. Of all the verses in the bible that describe God's requirement for man to receive salvation what percentage of them use the words "Faith", "Believe" or "Repent" as opposed to "Ask Jesus into your heart" or even praying a prayer for that matter? I'll help you out, Faith and Believe are found the most over 100 times, Repent is probably second with at least 33 times, and you could maybe argue that 3-5 particular passages describe a prayer, and ZERO times do we find man commanded to "Ask Jesus into your heart" Now take those figures and ask yourself if those numbers accurately reflects what w
  2. Since it is obvious that Repentance is necessary for salvation, we should be concerned with what it is as soul winners, but I wonder how often the word is actual defined properly. Can you define repentance as it relates to salvation with the following 1. Using the lexical meaning of the word and not your own preconceived theological notions of what the word means 2. taking into account the context of biblical passages that contain the word
  3. Today I began working on a Evangelism Course, I have basically completed the lessons, Tomorrow I will begin recording, and eventually I hope to have them on C.D.s and I will have them available in DVD cases. If this is something you might be interested in having please let me know, I can give you C.D.s with recorded lessons, and/or I can give you my electronic notes/outline. The Intention of the course is for New Believers or those who need practical help, and a biblical philosophy of Evangelism. I know I am not anything special, but the course is biblical and I believe has God's blessing upon
  4. Please note, I am not sure I exactly agree with everything here, the verse are NKJV and not KJV sorry about that, what are your thoughts? "Another reason why some people in evangelical churches remain unsaved is the way in which the Gospel is presented. Many dedicated Christians present the Gospel in such a way that unsaved, unprepared people do not understand that they deserve only God’s judgment, that salvation is completely God’s work, and that sinners are unable to contribute anything towards their own salvation. Romans 1:3 tells us that the Gospel is G
  5. I got rid of a bunch of Gospel tracts today.. it's interesting how many tracts today don't even have the Gospel in them. (The death, burial, and resurrection.) I think in some ways we make the Gospel more complicated than it is. Salvation is simple childlike faith and dependence on the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I think in our zeal to protect from false professions, and easy believism that we have swung too far in the opposite direction. Sometimes giving people the impression that they have to clean up their lives before they can be saved. I can't tell you how many people I have

  7. “The tom toms thumped on all night, and the darkness shuddered around me like a living, feeling thing. I could not go to sleep, so I lay awake and looked; and I saw, and it seemed like this:That I stood on a grassy sward, and at my feet a precipice broke sheer down into infinite space. I looked, but saw no bottom; only cloud shapes, black and furiously coiled, and great shadow-shrouded hollows, and unfathomable depths. Back I drew, dizzy at the depth. Then I saw forms of people moving single file along the grass. They were making for the edge. There was a woman with a baby in her arms and anoth
  8. Well, as some of you know, I am going on a trip to Uganda for about 3 weeks in June, We will be working in the West Nile Region to establish a Church. I would like to ask you to pray: 1. That God would prepare our hearts, We desperately need unity and holiness among our team. 2. That God would open the eyes of those in Uganda who are blinded to the Gospel by Satan 3. That God's power would rest upon us as we preach the Gospel. The Team right now is Evangelist Phil Prettyman, his wife Christine, their daughter Hannah, Kerri Crider, Doug Miller, and myself. Our pra
  9. Please pray for the people of the West Nile Region of Uganda. We will be going there between June 4th and June 24th. It is my burden to see a church started at this time, Pray for prepared hearts and for souls to be saved, as well as for unity amongst our team and sanctification to prepare us for this work.
