We must, however, do what we must to keep: "The True Spirit of Christmas" alive in our hearts and minds every day instead of just once a year. I am not a perfect Christian, but I try to be. I try to not only preach God's word, but also practice God's word. One of many practices by Christians and even IFB and non-IFB churches I have seen growing and taking over like a tsunami is the practice of erecting a Christmas tree in God's house or individual homes. So many people look forward to this time of year. "Honor the newborn King!" they say excitedly. Where is this newborn King that they want me to honor, to worship, to adore? I know of no such King born this year. Friends, Christ is no longer a baby in a manger. What are you doing? We are not told to worship a baby. There is no more Baby Jesus.
