  1. I Agree

Not really being "critical" of you personally... you're correct in saying it's duality... let's be clear... it's a book of many comparisons, not absolutes... only these two types. There are many preachers I'm aware of who present it as such. As I stated, I grew up under such a pastor. I don't believe that is what you are trying to do here. I just want to make sure there's a clarification for anyone else who sees this on this site. ?

    "you"
Again, the word "you" is plural in the King James. It is speaking to a group, not individuals. And He's telling them/us HOW He chose us to be saved.... "through sanctification of the spirit and belief of the truth". Who has to "believe the truth"? We do.

    "Ordained"
Does it say specifically that God ordained these men? No. There's more to the word "ordained" than most people seem to realize. It originally didn't have the specialized meaning of being appointed by some authority. It is possible and very common to "ordain" oneself to one thing or another. In this context these "ungodly men" set, ordered, arranged or established their lives toward evil things and condemnation. Whether we "beleive the truth" or "deny the Lord" and "ordain ourselves to lasciviousness", we decide the way we choose to go: God controls the consequences of our choices. God chose for it to be this way.

If you've already been scripturally baptized, I would have a hard time telling you to be baptized again. I can say this, and it's something you've stated already, you are never going to find a perfect church. You'll have to decide whether becoming a member of this church is worth violating your beliefs and principles of baptism. This is just my opinion...you need to make sure you have prayed about this challenge. God will lead you to the right decision.

Neither Romans 9, nor any other passage in the Bible speaks of God drawing or choosing individuals for salvation. Not only that, but the terms "election" and "predestination" are always used with plural pronouns (for instance, the word "You" is a plural pronoun in the King James) God chose that His people would be "elect" and he chose that His people would be "predestinated" to be conformed to the image of Christ. Jesus said:  And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will "draw" ALL men unto me." John 12:32. And He says that He is not willing that any should perish but that ALL should come to repentence. Again, God's will is to draw all men and to bring them all to repentence: He does not choose individuals for salvation.

I believe God is able to masterfully incorporate both the free will of man and his Good pleasure (as shown in the life of Joseph for example where the freewill of all involved was incorporated seamlessly into Go's divine will).
Isaiah 46:9-13 Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, 10 declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure: 11 calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executeth my counsel from a far country:yea, I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it. 12 Hearken unto me, ye stouthearted, that are far from righteousness: 13 I bring near my righteousness; it shall not be far off, and my salvation shall not tarry: and I will place salvation in Zion for Israel my glory.
