  1. Love this thread. One guy misusing Scripture and another reading political beliefs into the Bible.
  2. Yes as Markle said. I was just worried, that perhaps because you have a more scholastic view of literature that you may wish to tie analogies and things from outside the scripture to the scripture. I apologize for confusion! I meant to say the method of study is easy.
  3. “I have also come to learn that reading the Good Book is not as easy as one might think.“ May I point out something? The book is actually very simple to read once you incorporate the proper way to study. Scripture to scripture, literal at face value.
  4. Sorry but that is not the Gap theory I believe. Angels lived on this earth before men, Angels do not die. please refrain from correcting which you do not understand It is not Catholic doctrine in any shape of form.
  5. Your in the wrong thread. This isn’t an argument thread. We are just posting our more ‘out there’ beliefs.
  6. Let's post them for some good old fashion Baptist fun. Gap theory, is actually a proper interpretation of scripture and I lean towards it.
  7. http://www.kurtlabouve.com/index.htm Kurt Labouve! My pastor brought him into our church for a Christmas special and he was wonderful to have
  8. Did not God divorce Israel after her fornication and lust for pursuing other gods.
  9. How would of one known this is a quotation thread? “Tricks and treachery are the practice of fools, that don’t have brains enough to be honest” Benjamin Franklin
  10. Kick him out. Sorry. I’m a young Christian both in age and spirit but I believe this is the only thing you can do.
  11. Yeah. I remembered something like this… I was confused what you guys where saying. The only meat I know that is unclean now is meet offered to idols? And even then I believe we in the Church are told not to dissuade those from eating it?
  12. Close to home! I’m just across the sound. Love this place. Glad you enjoyed your time together
  13. Where do you find that it’s impossible? Where in the Bible does it say that? Who do you think the sons of God are? Why do you think the angels where bound? Why do you think Noah is pure in his generations? Who do you think the giants are? There is actually a lot of evidence in the Bible if you read it.
  14. 2Pe 2:4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment; Jud 1:6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day. The fallen Angels are bound until Tribulation. Devils are the spirits of the nephelim that died in the flood, since they have no souls they wander the earth
  15. John these people actually send members out of their Church to disrupt other Church’s mid service, I live in Wa state and they have even tried to attempt it here where I am a member of.
  16. It’s more rhetorical for the sake of my understanding- but the question “Do all men hate God prior to hearing the gospel“, I understand the question but contextually this question must also apply to those in the Old Testament. And if we apply it to the people in the Old Testament we must further define what the question means. The Gospel of Jesus Christ? The Gospel, that men are sinners and only by Grace of the Lord may we be redeemed? (Further Revealed to be Christ) Are these the same? I’d say yes of course they are. As before the blood and as after. I think the answer is No. one cannot know the Love of God without knowing the gospel message. For even before in the Old Testament one had to be convicted of their own sins to know and love God.
  17. Demons aren’t even fallen angels.
  18. I think your being dense. No offense. I asked you a question because I was interested in the different styles since you are were being strong worded against BB, And I actually don’t understand. There are several different musical genres, which I have always categorized under ‘country’. We have Blue grass, Appalachian, Western, Negro blues, and Slave Songs. Now all the types of music have Christian Gospel songs, and they all have influenced one another in either instruments or lyrics. My question to you is, how do you discern them? Notice, BB and I are not talking about “spirituals” or “southern Gospel” which are obviously different.
  19. You know, I’m still confused. I don’t see the comparison that you say he is making. But it is good to know ‘country’ and ‘slave negro’ are two different genres of gospel. How do I dispel the differences between them?
  20. What do you mean BrotherTony? I am a person that loves music and even I tend to intertwine the two, as there is not much a difference. Not sure how BB is in error here…
