  1. The Holy Spirit doesn’t glorify himself… that is why. Joh 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. Joh 16:14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. Joh 16:15 All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you
  2. it’s seems fine. What have I missed?
  3. I understand what this man is saying - he is simply ( in a not so simple way ) that the Church that was in Rome became apostate, and after many years it became the Catholic Church as we know it today. I have no problem following his comprehension. There are many words for little said, but still he isn’t wrong, the Catholic Church didn’t start in a vacuum.
  4. My spirit was dead before I was born again
  5. It is well with my soul because now my soul may be tied to a clean spirit. and it is destined for glory! My spirit is not the spirit I was born with, but born again with!
  6. You guys are acting like you’ve never heard this said before. I don’t have time to go through it with you guys, your minds are made up when it comes to this.
  7. I was talking about the Kingdom of Heaven not the Kingdom of God. no. Of course not.
  8. Acts 10:45 shows they didn’t have the complete understanding of baptism at this time.
  9. Yeah man, we aren’t disagreeing with what you have stated here.
  10. Yes, and I’m saying in the early acts the only baptism they knew of was John’s, not until Paul was saved did the understanding of baptism change.
  11. I’m not saying they need to be baptized to be saved, where have I said that. Where I said “saved as a nation” I’m talking about the literal nation of Israel becoming the Kingdom of Heaven. Not eternal life. As in, the repentance of the nation.
  12. And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. Mat 3:3 For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight. Mat 3:4 And the same John had his raiment of camel's hair, and a leathern girdle about his loins; and his meat was locusts and wild honey. Mat 3:5 Then went out to him Jerusalem, and all Judaea, and all the region round about Jordan, Mat 3:6 And were baptized of him in Jordan, confessing their sins. Mat 4:17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand
  13. Saved as a nation, for the Kingdom of Heaven. I am not talking about being born again as Christians, as salvation to heaven.
  14. You said Abraham didn’t have to be baptized and I’m agreeing with you - for the reason I provided.
  15. The Nation of Israel didn’t crucify Jesus Christ and reject him yet
  16. You need to discern what he was trying to say. He wasn’t accusing you. I don’t understand your outburst edit: maybe he was, which is unfortunate
  17. I did not define Calvinism, the entire TULIP does it for me, Now separating John Calvin and his theology and Calvinism is another topic. I don’t care to argue semantics - which is what Calvinism does.
  18. Calvinism can be defined in a myriad of ways. The easiest point of contention is the idea that we have no role in our salvation. They say no man can come to God even if prompted by another, a Christian Holy Spirit filled Gospel breathing individual. This dichotomy that they present is actually an older heresy of Dualism, they deny that the exterior ( of our Soul, and Body ) can be used by the LORD to present himself. They suggest that only when the LORD is dwelling within the individual is then the LORD working the individuals salvation. - and there in lies the issue, they deny the existence of the Holy Spirit outside ones Body. This is a form of dualism that is covered by re-definition of Biblical language. This doctrine ties into the doctrine of how they define the Sovereignty of the LORD. Which, is not a word ever found in scripture so they have more liberty to define, as it is not a word scripture bound.
  19. I see. I was thinking people where twisting the ‘Crown of Life’ into meaning Salvation.
  20. Good topic. I never knew about that heresy, I do know Christians are judged and can earn crowns to lay at Christ’s feet. Are these related?
  21. I’m just assuming there where more arrows, and God wanted him to smite the ground as many times as there where arrows at hand. Seems like another passage at about how men fail to fully commit to the word of God, and our willingness to trust him. I think this is a great question, I am really interested to hear what a more thought out answer has to say
  22. Lots of people ‘get it from the Bible’, however wrong the interpretation of Genesis may be. Most people don’t read the Bible literally.
