  1. They can't get or keep members especially among young folks so they have turned to entertainment.
  2. "Rachel" Levine wants to make Prude Summer now. Every Liberal I know supports this no sense 100%.
  3. I'm 99% sure that I read that Edmond Paris was murdered and they never found his killer. I can't find it on the Internet though. In fact, I can't find anything about his cause of death.
  4. I would say that neither Jesus nor the apostles earned much money with their preaching.
  5. A friend of mine from Upstate NY helped a pastor start a church in Maine. They knocked every door in the town to get people to come out. It was hard work. Not as easy as starting one in the South but their are people up there who would go if there was an IFB church to go to. Unfortunately ,I can't recall the name of the church. I need to call my friend it's been a while. I'll see if I can get the name of the church.
  6. I've said before that Jesus liked to intentionally push buttons to get those who refused to open their eyes even more angry, the Pharisees in particular. I guess it was like a form of "trolling". Kind of like a Babylon Bee headline which many on the Left take seriously and do fact checks on them but we understand they are satire and parody. Teaching people to "hate" their parents is an example. Only those willing to see would understand what he meant and those who were looking for a reason to reject him he gave even more reason to reject. No doubt people were saying he hated his parents so he played right along with it.
  7. Yup, not a sin we have to worry about today.
  8. I agree. Why would God save the dinosaurs by having them get on the ark for them to all just die off after they got off because of climate change.
  9. You ever read anything by Avro Manhattan? Some revealing stuff.
  10. [66] From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him. [67] Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away? John 6:66-67 There was a "falling away" of sorts from Jesus when he spoke about eaten his flesh and drinking his blood. Even many disciples (Hebrews 6:4-6) turned away. I've never heard anyone among IFB really discuss this. If many disciples turned away how could these "disciples" be saved at the time? At the least, if they were born again, they would have understood Jesus was speaking allegorically and not literally. If they were not saved then why were they called "disciples"? I believe in eternal security but this whole passage is strange indeed. Anyway, comparing scripture with scripture it seems to me that the coming "falling away" (II Thessalonian. 2:3) will have something to do with the body of Christ. I also find it interesting that the falling away occurs in John 6:66 of all verses. Maybe a blasphemous form of the Lord's Supper will enter the Church that will make transubstantiation look like child's play. Right after Jesus spoke of his flesh and blood Satan himself entered Judas Iscariot (a disciple) to betray Jesus. Judas Iscariot is a type of the Antichrist in scripture. In I John 2:22 the apostle mentions about antichrists who deny the Son. In this context it was denying that Christ came in the flesh. They were Gnostics which has seen a great revival in this world. So, all these things seems to be related to the literal body of Christ. If the days of the Son of Man are indeed as the days of Noah in the fullest sense than it could involve cannibalism. I say this because it appears from the wording of Genesis 9:3-6 that cannibalism on a grand scale was occuring before the flood. In the context of eating animals God prohibits the shedding of man's blood and a death penalty falls upon man and animal for this. Notice the strange passage in Isaiah: [8] Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me. [9] And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not. [10] Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed. [11] Then said I, Lord, how long? And he answered, Until the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land be utterly desolate, [12] And the LORD have removed men far away, and there be a great forsaking in the midst of the land. [13] But yet in it shall be a tenth, and it shall return, and shall be eaten: as a teil tree, and as an oak, whose substance is in them, when they cast their leaves: so the holy seed shall be the substance thereof. The land is made "desolate" after there is a "great forsaking" and "the holy seed" shall be "eaten". The "abomination of desolation" shows up. If you look at the word "abomination" in scripture many times it's used in the context of something that is sacrificed then eaten.
  11. You ever look up the etymology of "whale" in English? It comes from the Latin for "a kind of large fish". In the Greek the word for "fish" refers to a small aquatic creature not a large one while the word for "whale" means "huge sea fish" or "sea monster". I'm not Greek linguist by any means but it's possible that the KJV translators choose to translate as "whale" in the NT because that's what the Greek word demanded. A really big fish swallowed Jonah. Whatever it was. To retroactively apply modern day scientific classifications would be what I think they call an anachronism.
  12. Well, than why would Jesus make the comparison? The Pharisees probably got his gist that he would be dead for three days not just sitting in a tomb for three days. I'm not saying 100% but it sure sounds like Jonah was dead. Another thing, the Greek word for "gulf" in Luke 16:26 is the same word used for "whale" in Greek. Maybe it means nothing but it is sure interesting.
  13. I remember another website that would get this from Catholic posters. The owner of the website was a former Franciscan monk who got saved and was even KJV Only. He said at seminary they would actually raid forums and post Catholic teachings, stir up arguments and debates then leave as sudden as they arrived. Apparently, they would even be graded on how well they could do this. Like extra curricular work. This is probably why when these drive-bys happen there is a sudden rash of them where it's almost like they are working in cahoots then they all disappear.
  14. I think a church should stay away from investing. It's way too risky and there's much more important things to invest in like missionaries, the building, poor folks in the church and potluck diners! Individually I see no problem as long as all your more important financial obligations are met first.
  15. It doesn't outright say it but his prayer sure seems to suggest it (Jonah 2). Enough for Jesus to compare his own death and resurrection to it.
  16. There's a British doctor on YouTube named Dr. John Campbell who has covered these things extensively. I'm usually wary of YT doctors but this man is really good.
  17. Off topic here but I occasionally have dreams where I want to show someone something from the bible and I can't find it flipping through pages of garbled words.
  18. Pence is Roman Catholic. He's also just another spineless RINO who will fold as fast as a cheap lawn chair if he got elected. I'd vote for Kennedy before him. He's in it for the campaign trail buffets.
  19. Vitamin D has been proven to help prevent the "Cytokine Storm" of COVID which is what really kills people but you need to have it built up in you system you can't wait until you get sick. Although, with my uncle who has Lou Gehrig's Disease, they gave him massive dosage of it when he had COVID. Apparently, Zinc helps too. Somehow it helps prevent the spike from injecting the cell. They recommend taking Quercetin with it to help the body to absorb zinc. I had COVID (the Delta strain) really bad but nothing since that time. My quadruple vaxxed sister has had COVID three times.
  20. We need to be more concerned about the World Health Organization's digital vaccine passport (aka global digital health certificate) that will soon be enforced by our own government. They call it "social credit score" in China.
  21. Virginia Best: The colonial history. I live only a few miles from two Presidents homes; Jefferson and Monroe. Trump has a home close by too. Fairly low crime. The Blue Ridge Mountains. Worst: Northern Virginia has been overridden by D.C. liberals and it's a constant battle to keep the state Red. CRT originated in Northern Virginia.
  22. You keep asking about this verse. Go with your first impression and then move on until something else tells you otherwise.
