  1. Mississippi hospital puts beds in parking garage to cope with COFID-19 surge and 98% of them were unvaccinated. Protect yourself and others by getting your vaccination. Don't be selfish!
  2. So less than 1% of the Covid patients have infected the 94 to 99% of the people who are in the hospital? Wow. What a strong case you just built for getting a shot. Come on BT. You know you are just blowing smoke. ROFL. Seems some things never change regardless of the evidence in front of your eyes.
  3. Still much more valid than your unsupported opinion. And it was reporting on research. You backup your opinion with nothing. Please answer the question, why is it 94 to 99% of people in the hospital with COVID are unvaccinated? There probably would not be any breakthrough cases if those folk had gotten their vaccinations. The unvaccinated are causing the pain and suffering in the US. Even your Republican politicians are finally admitting that. Children hospitalized with COVID-19 in U.S. hits record numbers. Some of these kids will die. I wonder what their unvaccinated parents will think and feel knowing their deaths could have been avoided? A
  4. That was not an opinion piece. That was from research on hospitalized people in 24 states and D.C. You give opinion and I agree your opinion does not convey fact. Admit it, the pandemic is being fueled by nonvaccinated people.
  5. Because they are not. They make up a tiny percentage of people with COVID. It is the unvaccinated who cause the surge. How about you admitting the obvious. What about the rights of people not to be infected by people who will not get a vaccination? As you avoid the answer I'll give it to you: "Unvaccinated people range from 94% to 99.85% of those hospitalized for COVID-19, according to a report by the nonprofit Kaiser Family Foundation, which examined data from 24 states (and D.C.) that report detailed data on breakthrough infections." It is obvious that my stance is correct. Unvaccinated people are causing the death of people and children from COVID and for other reasons because there are hospitals who have no room left for anyone else....including new COVID cases. https://www.fayobserver.com/story/opinion/2021/08/12/fayetteville-observer-our-view-pandemic-unvaccinated-north-carolina-nc/5565943001/
  6. What percentage of corvid hospital beds are filled with unvaccinated people? What about the rights of people not to be infected by people who will not get a vaccination?
  7. Off topic. We are talking about hospitals filled with unvaccinated ill people who have COVID and their taking beds that end up costing other, including children their lives. The vaccinated would not have gotten sick if everyone had gotten their vaccination. As the headline reads: Republican leaders fiddle while Covid burns through their own supporters. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2021/aug/14/republican-leaders-fiddle-while-covid-burns-through-their-own-supporters It is not very wise to follow a policy that put your own supporters lives in danger. Right? And... Mississippi requested outside help in securing enough medical staff to meet demand as the delta variant fills hospitals with mostly unvaccinated Covid patients. https://www.cnbc.com/2021/08/13/mississippi-seeks-doctors-nurses-and-ventilators-as-covid-patients-pack-icu-beds.html Face it, it is the unvaccinated that is causing the overcrowding problem. What about the right of people to be protected from people who follow foolish practices and put others at risk.
  8. What about people's right to not be infected because of people refusing to be vaccinated? But that has nothing to do with the current topic which is that the unvaccinated are taking up so many beds that hospitals cannot perform surgeries, take care of children, cannot respond to emergencies. All because of the unvaccinated.
  9. That does not negate the fact that the hospitals are filled with unvaccinated people. Less than 1% of the people vaccinated end up in the hospital. That means that 99% of the beds are taken up by unvaccinated people. Beds filled with unvaccinated mean there are fewer or no beds for people facing other medical issues. The unvaccinated are responsible. This isn't politics. This is life. It is totally selfish for a person to remain unvaccinated and possible infections others and children. Be honest BT. Start facing the real issue.
  10. Respectfully you are wrong. The unvaccinated are the ones filling over 90% of the hospital beds and this leads to no beds or personnel for people with other needs. Can't you be honest and accept the glaring facts?
  11. The unvaccinated are and will cause the death of children who need help but cannot get it because of overcrowded hospitals. A Texas judge spelled out the dire COVID-19 situation for young people in the state on Friday, telling a news conference that “in Dallas, we have zero ICU beds left for children.” "That means if your child's in a car wreck, if your child has a congenital heart defect or something and needs an ICU bed, or more likely if they have COVID and need an ICU bed, we don't have one. Your child will wait for another child to die," Jenkins said. "Your child will just not get on the ventilator, your child will be CareFlighted to Temple or Oklahoma City or wherever we can find them a bed, but they won't be getting one here unless one clears." “Your child will wait for another child to die,” he bluntly pointed out. https://abc7chicago.com/dallas-county-judge-clay-jenkins-covid19-pediatric-icu-beds-texas-zero-mask-mandate/10951287/ Watch the video.
  12. Michael Kagan, a professor at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, says the cancerous lymph nodes in his neck are like a "ticking time bomb." But there's little he can do. MountainView Hospital, where he was scheduled to have his procedure last week, has put all surgeries requiring an overnight stay on hold as Covid-19 case counts and hospitalizations climb, according to a statement from spokesperson Jennifer McDonnell. "I'm not getting any treatment so on any given day it could spread to another part of my body or it can grow and cause a much bigger problem," Kagan told CNN's Brianna Keilar on Tuesday. "I'm just living with a time bomb and I'm just letting it tick down, basically." With Covid-19 case numbers surging across the United States and many unvaccinated Americans falling ill, the number of available hospital beds has been dwindling in parts of the country. Some hospitals now report their intensive care units, which are usually reserved for the most critically ill patients, are full -- a grim reality that's forcing health care leaders to make tough decisions, whether that be redirecting new patients to other facilities, canceling surgeries or creating makeshift ICU beds in the middle of emergency rooms. https://www.cnn.com/2021/08/14/us/full-icus-summer-covid-surge/index.html The US remains among nations with the highest rate of new Covid-19 cases, driven mostly by a surge in the South, where many states are lagging in getting people vaccinated against the coronavirus. https://www.cnn.com/2021/08/14/health/us-coronavirus-saturday/index.html

  14. Just read an interesting article in the August 6th, 2021 issue of THE WEEK. It dealt with GOP politicians switching their view and encouraging people to get their vaccinations. The most interesting sentence read: Republican leaders see the pandemic's "alarming new math" and have decided they'd rather not "take the blame for killing off their own voters." DUH, who did they think were being killed off?
  15. Just two days into the academic year, 440 students in Palm Beach County, Florida, were told to go into quarantine because of COVID-19 cases at their schools, reports CBS' Palm Beach affiliate WPEC. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/440-students-palm-beach-county-quarantine-covid/
  16. On Wednesday, a Trump-appointed judge spanked three Trump boosters for spreading Trump’s lies in a ruling that could cost them hundreds of millions of dollars in damages. District Judge Carl J. Nichols crafted a blistering opinion allowing three defamation lawsuits filed by Dominion Voting Systems against MyPullow CEO Mike Lindell and Trump’s lawyers, Sidney Powell and Rudy Giuliani to move forward to trial.

  21. NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — As COVID-19 cases surge in Tennessee, in part due to the Delta variant, the makeup of intensive care units across the state looks different than it did early on in the pandemic. The patients are younger and less likely to be vaccinated. Dr. Jason Martin, a critical care physician in Sumner County, has noticed this change in demographics, “It’s not uncommon to have an ICU with 20-year-old people in it, which is really unusual as compared to the last time. Certainly, it’s more common to have folks in their 30s and 40s right now.” https://www.wkrn.com/news/ecmo-machine-shortages-becoming-more-common-as-covid-19-cases-in-tennessee-surge/ A Nashville-area doctor struggled Friday to find a nearby hospital with specialized care to help a young patient with coronavirus — a candidate for an intensive therapy given to COVID-19 patients when a ventilator isn't enough. https://www.tennessean.com/story/news/2021/08/08/tn-doctor-describes-struggle-find-staffed-specialized-care-amid-covid-19-surge/5530830001/
