    Greetings, all,
Thank you for your kind care and time,
There are times when i doubt whether watching, seeing, reading, listening, eating, drinking and doing something is alright for me as a Christian.
Well, if i stop to think, i'll soon find out that whatever is for God and is holy, should be fine.
If i feel bad about doing something, then i just shouldn't do it.
If i feel guilty about something, i should repent and turn from it and abandon it.
If there is something that shows unkindness to others, naturally it goes against Christianity, as we believe one must love others as one loves themself.
To post a topic here to attract attention for the sake of attracting attention, is that a good idea?
i try to only post topics that i feel i really need to tell or ask for advice.
As a Christian, a true true Christian, in my humble most humble opinion, i believe, we need to spend more time with the Lord rather than talking about the news of the world and asking questions that lead us nowhere but away from the Lord.
    Bless your hearts,
    Totoo

If you must, a simple cross would be better. But no cross would be even better.
The way to keep in touch with our Lord at all times is through prayer.
1 Thessalonians 5:17-18 (KJV) Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

Totoo, that is a Crucifix. It is not something that born again Christians should have. Catholics use these and they are idols. This depicts a Savior still on the Cross, but our Savior is not on the cross, He is risen ad on the right hand of God the Father.

Ok, with that I can express more full agreement.  Thank you Brother Hugh for clearing up the "confusion."

Yes as Markle said. I was just worried, that perhaps because you have a more scholastic view of literature that you may wish to tie analogies and things from outside the scripture to the scripture. I apologize for confusion! I meant to say the method of study is easy.

    Brother Totoosart,
What Brother Hugh said is not precisely accurate.  The apostle Peter under the inspiration of God the Holy Spirit stated the following in 2 Peter 3:15-16 -- "And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you; as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction."  Some things in God's Holy Word are easier for understanding, but other things are harder for understanding.
Furthermore, Proverbs 1:7 states -- "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction."  Even so, those who walk in the fear of the Lord have the foundation upon which to grow in their understanding of God's wisdom from God's Holy Word.  However, those who will not choose the fear of the Lord (as per Proverbs 1:29-30) will not be able to grasp God's wisdom from God's Holy Word.  Indeed, being wise in their own conceits, they will remain fools and will ever grow deeper in the darkness and blindness of their foolishness.
Finally, in John 8:31-32 we read, "Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."  Growth in the truth and wisdom of God's Holy Word comes only to those who continue in the Word with diligent study, daily mediation, AND dedicated obedience.  Without faithful obedience there will not be spiritual growth of maturity or understanding.  Consider the following passages:
James 1:21-25 - "Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.  But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.  For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: for he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.  But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed."
Hebrews 5:12-14 - "For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.  For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.  But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil."
In Proverbs 8:32-36 the personified Wisdom of God's Word states - "Now therefore hearken unto me, O ye children: for blessed are they that keep my ways.  Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not.  Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors.  For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the LORD.  But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death."

    Thanks, mate,
You need to add to that the fact that i am Persian born which adds to my sufferings, Praise the Lord, it's fine, i am learning more and more because of all my restrictions.
One has to be patient and the Lord has a plan for everyone, i wish i knew what is His kind plan for me so that i could get there faster.
In any case, as i have just mentioned above, i am trying to spread the Word in every way possible, through my We Chat app as well as during my classes. My pupils all know i am a Christian and that Jesus Christ is more than important to me. Sometimes some conversation sparks up and i take the opportunity to say as much as i can and as well as i can.
    Bless your heart, thanks again,
    Totoo
    Thank you, friend,
Bless your heart, it is very kind of you to spend your precious time reading all and replying too.
Well, God is kind, i'm just trying to do what i can as much as i can, it's nothing special, still, unable to fulfil.
There is a good reason for everything.
    Bless your heart,
    Totoo
    Life is full of challenges,
    Everyone has their own,

Welcome, I believe you are willing to give 10 percent, this is very kind of you. But I believe you are a new born again Christian, and have not yet been baptized. The 10 percent of giving is not important at this time. Also you are in need, later you can start giving if you are able. God know our hearts and when we are ready to give. Giving will not save anyone and God does not want to test your faithfulness if your not ready.

Many times it is difficult to understand another persons situation when you don't know all the facts. Therefore it is hard to make a valid suggestion about the situation. In this case I know where totoosart lives. He lives in a country where Christianity is not only banned, but the authorities actually seek out Christians and try to detect where and when they may be meeting. If the authorities find them or their meeting place there, can be life threatening consequences, in other words they could be arrested and even put to death. So this situation can have dire consequences for him if he is not extremely careful. Just owning a Bible or trying to give out Bibles can be dangerous.

@Totoosart I agree, it's great to hear from you again. I'm sorry to hear about the situation you're in where you live. Keep your head up and in the Word.
As far as church goes, you may want to pray about starting a Bible study in your home and see where the Lord leads.

“I have also come to learn that reading the Good Book is not as easy as one might think.“
May I point out something? The book is actually very simple to read once you incorporate the proper way to study. Scripture to scripture, literal at face value.

Accepting our error is never easy, yet, especially as a new believer, it is very important that we at least consider the possibility we MAY be in error at times. I have been born again since 1972, and a pastor for 19 years, but I still know I am human and subject to error. Glad to see you have learned that truth-it helps keep us honest and humble, but also should make us eager to always be in the word, to seek better understanding and greater wisdom in Christ.

    Welcome back.

I live in a foreign country, my abilities here are so very limited, although nothing is impossible for God, many things are impossible for me. For instance, I am not allowed to have a job here, so my wife is taking care of the money and she is the bread winner of the family. I teach privately whenever possible, but I cannot advertise openly for it and only friends tell friends about me and if they have a need, they come.
I have started sharing video clips of me reciting the Holy Bible online on Tik Tok, but they stop most of them and it is very difficult to go live-streaming.
To start a church needs a lot of things, which i have very little. For instance, the knowledge and ability to guide people, i am still a child in Christianity and i'm still learning. It might not be wise of me to start a church when i know so little. It might do damage and harm more than good.
What i have also started doing very recently is translating the Holy Bible into my mother tongue, Persian. It felt great and i feel blessed for that. It will take a good while to finish, but no hurries, all in good time.
Thank you for your time and suggestion.
    Bless your hearts,
    Totoo

i remember i have had many questions and most of them silly and for my downfall, but well, God is kind and they are past now and i have learnt much more with the Grace of the Lord.
i am trying to keep my faith and deepen my belief by reading the Good Book and the translating is helping understand and realise much better than just reading it.
Bless your hearts and many many thanks for your kind care and precious time.

    Hi, there, people,

It's been quite a while since my last reply to this topic.
I'm here to say I was wrong, absolutely wrong and I thank you for putting me on the right track.
I have come to understand that it is Satan's ways and lies that deceive us and leads people like me astray very easily.
I have also come to learn that reading the Good Book is not as easy as one might think.
The Holy Bible is one of the most difficult books i have come to read and i have been working on it for a couple of years now and i am still learning something new every time i go back to a passage i have already read many a time!
The Holy Bible is also very rich with meaning and literary symbols. Again, one of the most difficult books to study and i hope i will be able to comprehend the Good Book one day soon. (Woking on it!)
Satan is there in every bend and every opportunity he can cling on to. One must be totally watchful of him. He is there in every breath! May the Lord Jesus Christ save us all.
    Bless your hearts,
    Totoo
PS: Thanks again and i am very humbled.

Hi, Tooto! So nice to have you back!
I’m so glad you have trusted the Lord in your heart. Remember that trusting God alone for salvation by trusting in the finished work of Christ is ALL you need for salvation. Baptism, while an important act of obedience, is NOT required for your salvation. Being a perfect Christian is not required for salvation. I’m reminding you of this to be sure that you are trusting Christ alone and not any of your own actions or obediences. ?

Pray that God will bring someone into your area to start a church.
I realize it's hard and not for everyone to start a church.
I prayed that God would start a church in my area and he did but by that time I had moved away. At least those people have a bible believing church in their area now.
