  1. I see, thanks, PastorMatt i wonder how people interpret the Holy Bible when something as clear as my humble comments are hard to follow!
  2. Hi, again, just want to add, i really enjoy listening to Dr Charles Stanley's sermons, in every aspect, they are so well delivered and so enlightening and engaging. i pray that all our dear pastors would be able to better him. Bless your hearts, Totoo
  3. Good morning, Pastor Matt, Yes, it is not very difficult to work it out, though, is it? Anyone and everyone who do what i said they do. i have not watched your sermons, i'll search on YouTube and see if i can find your sermons. Yes, i can mainly listen to sermons online and mainly on YouTube, so, if you are not there, i do not know how else to listen to your sermons. There are some very few websites that offer sermons, another thing is that because of the time difference between where i live and where most Baptists offer live sermons i usually miss the live streams and
  4. I'd like to add on that, if i may: When you pray, either at the beginning of your sermon, or at the end, please do not pray as if you are doing the homework you do not enjoy, as i take it, praying, just as giving a sermon, is worshiping the Lord and needs as much care and time as any worship, if you are in a hurry to say a few words as a prayer, well, i feel you, but it hurts a lot, i do not believe anyone enjoys watching your sermon, the least, the Lord, when you are worshiping in a rush and as hurriedly as you can. We expect so much from the Lord and we are not willing to give Him
  5. Greetings, i know i am new, but maybe that's a good thing, because i see things that i did not expect and long timers may have gotten used to them so they ignore or simply may not notice them, i do not mean to hurt anyone, but it hurts a lot, so i'm going to say it. Why do you go and start and give a sermon or lecture on the Holy Bible when you are not prepared well enough on the topic you have decided to talk about? Why do you belittle the Word of God by thinking whatnot and imagining that all will be fine? Why do you take the Word of God for granted? i am an English
  6. Bless your heart, Alan, You have also blessed my life a lot with your kindness and care along with everything else you have done for me from the very first days of my conversion to Christianity and finding out about this website. i'm sure Jesus Christ will bless your heart heartily and may you be blessed with His Grace. Totoo
  7. Greetings all, Yes, i'm still here Glad to be here again among wonderful people that you are. i have decided to devote most of my time to studying and understanding the Holy Bible. The harsh and tough facts that i'm still in China and as you may well know, it is almost impossible to grab holds on a Bible or any books related to studying and understanding the Bible these days, online or off. So i've just started and enrolled in an online course by the kind 'SEBTS' where they offer: 'Interpreting and Teaching the Holy Bible' course for free! Which is great! However, i'
  8. Dear friends, greetings :) i am still studying and i must say there are passages in the Bible where it seems that the Father does in fact communicate in a very friendly way with Satan, a very good example is in Job, where, as it seems to my incomplete understanding, Satan is among the Sons of God. Any way, i'm repeating myself here that all i am trying to say is that i need to take responsibility for my unrighteous and wrong behaviour. Bless you all, Totoo PS, the internet is very bad these days and many sites are blocked, so if i cannot get back to you, i am still re
  9. Dear Jordan, Thanks for being so kind. i have no authority, i am nobody, hence the lower case whenever i type 'i', otherwise i know English language rules and grammar pretty well, sometimes much better than native speakers! It is fine if you would like to take words at their superficial values and meanings, but i was taught differently. You can close your eyes and stop thinking, that's fine, bless your hearts. i have come to learn so much because of and from Jesus Christ in the very short time i have been blessed with His grace and converted to Christianity, not as a relig

  11. Dear Dave, When the first people who said the Earth is round and not the centre of the universe, what did the church do? i'm just another guy thinking out loud. As long as you don't want to hear, i won't tell! Thanks for your kindness and may the Lord bless your hearts, Totoo
  12. Greetings, Thank you for your kind replies and precious time. i will stop posting my thoughts on this site, since you do not like to hear my thoughts and are not willing to see how i worship the Lord and how much i adore his justice and righteousness. That's the end of me here. i pray for you and all of you to have an open mind so that you could truly see how truly good the Lord is and how much we are far from comprehending His Justice and Good. Cheers, bless your hearts, Totoo
  13. Dear friend, Timothy(?), Thanks so much for your kind time and reply. i'm glad to see that there are people who might come close and understand what i mean. Thank God for that. Language is a barrier, one cannot ever truly express one's thoughts and feelings without the risk of being misinterpreted and misunderstood. One of the miracles of the Holy Bible is that no matter who you be and no matter how much you know, you will be drawn closer to the Lord and admire Jesus Christ. i am still studying and i am trying to be a good learner. As someone who has been teaching for
  14. Greetings, Jordan, Thank you so much for your kind care and time. i will study further, but you may have misunderstood me, or i may have not been able to express myself properly. i apologise. In any case, i understand that the Bible is not an easy book to read, although it might seem easy to you, it is certainly not that easy to me, and i am an English language and literature scholar and Shakespearean. Thanks again for your kind time and care, Wish you a blessed time, Totoo
  15. Dear Miss Daisy, Thanks for your kind reply, sorry for my late reply, I did not get a notification and I apologise. As for my level of belief, well, I totally respect and honour Jesus Christ, as He has always loved and taught love in its fullest sense of the word. I feel I am getting better, it is not easy, I have been otherwise all my life of 50+ years, I want to be honest with myself and I really want to fully believe in God the Father, I need to pray more, I suppose. Best wishes for you and your loved ones, Totoo
  16. Greetings It's more than a year now that I have converted to Christianity and ever since I have been reading and trying to understand the scriptures as best as I possibly could. I have posted many questions already and you have been more than kind to reply and guide me on. I recall I had a question about Matthew 4:1: Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. And the problem for me was 'how could the Spirit of God lead the Lord anywhere 'to be tempted of the devil' unless they are working in harmony and cooperation!' U
  17. A prayer: I asked for strength that I might achieve, He made me weep that I might obey I asked for help that I might do greater things, I was given grace that I might do better things I asked for riches that I might be happy, I was given poverty that I might be wise I asked for power that I might have the praise of man, I was given weakness that I might feel the need of God I asked for all things that I might enjoy life, I was given life that I might enjoy all things I received nothing that I asked for, all that I hoped for, my prayer, was answered. Amin I ne
  18. It's a bit late, but better late than never: Merry Christmas, everyone, it's been one whole year since i've joined you kind and nice people. It's been a full year full of ups and downs every new convert might face. i've been struggling and trying and asking and searching for answers. Thanks Goodness and thanks to the Holy Spirit i've been able to find some replies and many of my questions have been answered. i'm still learning, though i have not been on the site very much, but i have been studying, reading the Bible, or listening to the Good Book. Bless your heart
  19. Dear Jerry, i am very happy for you, you are one of the chosen, maybe i am not, many are called, few are chosen!
  20. Greetings, It is very confusing, the whole Bible is very confusing, but then what can one expect when the Book is authored by the Lord. Bless your hearts, Totoo
  21. Dear Jim, Thank you so much for your kindness. Yes, i do not know how to pray, so i have been very happy to learn it from the Lord Himself. What you say seems very reasonable, i hope i will learn. i hope you will receive all you desire from the Lord. Bless your heart, Totoo
  22. Good morning, and kind greetings all i was reading this prayer from our Lord just now and something occurred to me, this is the prayer: Our Father which art in heaven Hallowed be Thy name Thy kingdom come Thy will be done In Earth, as it is in heaven i try to say this prayer every morning, i miss it sometimes, but i try to pray every morning. Anyhow, as i was praying this morning, i went through this prayer, automatically, and without any feeling, then i said to myself, what's the use? read again. And i did, and as i read it again, it occurred to me that
  23. Greetings Previously i have asked about the importance of the word: 'Israel' and that it has been repeatedly mentioned both in the Old and the New Testaments. While watching a YouTube programme, i learnt that this word comes from two Hebrew words meaning 'desire to reach God'. To what extent can that be correct? Thank you for your kind time and bless your hearts, Totoo
