  1. Thank you for this brilliant answer.
  2. I was recently called a fatalist because I stated that we cannot when we die. Is believing that God has a set time for our death fatalistic?
  3. I asked my old IFB Pastor once if we were Calvanist or Arminian I won't tell his answer cause I want your thoughts
  4. I believe that all babies that die go to heaven because they have not refused Christ as their savior which is how you go to hell
  5. I totally agree. The movement seems to be growing
  6. True that, and if all else fails they'll change the definitions. My old Pastor taught us that we were neither Calvanist nor Arminian, we were just Baptist (the ones that the other two groups persecuted
  7. I've been hearing alot more about modern day prophets, what does people here think about prophets?
  8. So what is the difference between hyper calvinism and Spurgeon's calvinism?
  9. never knew how they believed on the infant issue till I read the London Baptist Confession of faith of 1689
  10. So does this mean we should not support missionaries sent from BWM or just not support the board itself?
  11. But don't they all believe that infants are predestinated to go to heaven or hell whether they want to or not?
  12. not necessarily, but he was predestined to be conformed to the image of God after he used his free will to accept him as savior
  13. Because he also believed in free will
  14. I do not agree with Calvanism, but I love Spurgeon because he saturates his sermons with Gods Word. Too many preachers use a verse or two and alot of opinion in their sermons
  15. Why do preachers that condemn Calvanism quote Spurgeon so often?
  16. I notice that Jesus is capitalized here. I just wondered that since there are many people named Jesus whether we should refer to Him more with his title and not just his name.
  17. Do we minimize Jesus' power by merely referring to Him as Jesus instead of Jesus Christ/Christ Jesus?
  18. The newer versions use 'demon' instead of 'devils', maybe we just followed suit.
  19. Where did we ever get started using the word 'demon/s' when it doesn't appear in the KJV anywhere?
  20. So glad that you got to meet Bro. Brandenburg and have him preach for you. He was my Pastor for years and attends my church now. Love him to death.
  21. Just a novice here, but I would not call the KJVO a movement, it has been the foundational Bible long before the other existing versions.
  22. Nice distinction, I don't consider myself Calvanist or Arminian, just plain old New Testament Baptist. With that said, I always loved Charles Spurgeon and sometimes stated that I could be a Spurgeon Calvanist.
  23. Galatians 1:8-9King James Version (KJV) says; 8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 9 As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. Not wanting to start a fight here, but would Calvanism be included in the 'other gospel' category?
