Faithful Word accidentally gives the gospel to more homos than the people that say hes wrong for hating them. Romans 1 clearly says that God made them that way. I could say that the preachers that the preachers who love homos hate hindu's and muslims, because they are destroying their testimony to them. It is still illegal in many places. Do you think its a coincidence that we just now started siding with the world on this issue? Like, christians of the past didnt understand, but now we finally understand that we should love them.

I am sure not everyone that goes out is thorough with presenting the gospel, but that isnt because Anderson isnt teaching a thorough presentation. None of this is the reason that he is hated. I mean more than half of IFB preachers dont even go soul winning and I dont see anyone hating on them. It's really ridiculous.

So I guess Anderson is supposed to force people to come to church, get baptized, and teach them. The numbers of people that truly get saved is irrelevant, the point is they are putting in the work that most are failing to do. Only criticism comes from the brethren and accusing them of not presenting the gospel correctly...like they just walk up quote john 3:16 and ask them to pray.

Idk...I think he has 300-350 that come on sunday. Obviously,.most people that get saved dont automatically start coming to church and living a christian life.

Repent means - to change (mind)   So yes it is true, every person that has ever been saved has repented of something....YOU HAVE TO. Why? Because we can't believe on Jesus if we believe in Muhammad. We can't believe on Jesus if we are trusting in our own works. We can't trust in Jesus if we don't believe in God. We must repent of all of those things to be saved. BUT...it doesn't mean all sin....or even have a change of mind toward all sin like you said. I truly believe OB means this (your quote) desiring to stop sinning, desiring to follow God instead of a life of sin. I don't believe this is correct either.
What must we do to be saved? Beleive on the lord Jesus Christ. I honestly believe almost all of the people on OB believe this, but we aren't doing that justice by telling people we must also repent of sin. It leads to confusion mostly because of confusion about what the word means. When we believe on Christ we repent (change our mind) about what salvation is (faith). We don't have to have a complete change of mind toward sin. When we grow in the lord and realize that we aren't in bondage to sin because we are saved eternally by what Jesus did for us....that is what leads us to lead a more pleasing life to God. Our faith grows in our walk with Jesus through hearing and reading the word.

Thanks Old-Pilgrim. I think i agree with you mostly....and love Ralph Yankee Arnold. I think it is possible for people to be saved and them not necessarily believe it. As for us, we shouldn't assume anyone is saved...but help christians grow. I think in many peoples case it comes down to confusing preaching. Telling people that we must make jesus the master of our lives. All of the lordship salvation and do you bear the fruit of a good tree talk confuses and preaches a works based salvation. One thing the fruity people always forget to mention is that a bad tree can't produce any good, and  a good tree produces zero bad.....comparing this to someones works...as if saved people never do anything bad....and unsaved can't do anything good is a false teaching. There are many unsaved people who feed the homeless and quit drinking.  I'm sorry but these self righteous fruit cakes are annoying and think they have no bad fruit....proud, arrogant, and haughty is not of God.

People realize that the establishment politicians are corrupt, bought and paid for. Our country has been taken over by elitist, using "terrorism" as a means to take away our freedoms. Their goal is a New World Order. I believe most don't particular like Trump that much, but it's a better option than the New World Order. Cruz at least speaks of liberty and the constitution, but most conclude he is one of them. We don't want to fight meaningless wars in places where the USA was the root cause of what caused the chaos in the first place. Eisenhower spoke about the dangers of the Military Industrial Complex. We have been at war since the 40's...yet we haven't constitutionally declared it since WW2. We are no longer a constitutional republic. The people of America no longer stand with the government. "When people fear government there is tyranny"

With the creation of the unconstitutional Department of Homeland Security Bush the Second did more to prepare America to become a police state than any of his Democrat predecessors.
Even the Bush people now admit there were no WMDs in Iraq. Iraq was never a threat to America. In fact, Iraq under Saddam served as a check to both Iran and Syria. He was a strongman dictator but no worse than the many others America has worked with, even sided with. Under Saddam, unless a person posed a threat to his power, there was more freedom and commerce than other Arab nations, including our phony "ally" Saudi Arabia. The income of the average Iraqi was far greater than for those of other Arab nations. Christians were safe in Iraq. Look at the mess the place is in now.
I don't recall who it was, it's been posted here in the past, but a man who worked in the Bush White House when Bush the Second first took office pointed out that at the top of Bush's list was to figure out a way to attack Saddam...this was months before 9-11.
Also, some conservative group put out a list of Cruz's close advisers and most are from the Bush camp. Why would any true conservative or constitutionalist want warmed over liberal neo-cons as his advisers?
We are lied to constantly but most people don't care. As I've said before, there were very good reasons the Founders created a Republic with limits upon who could vote and an electoral college. Too bad we gave that up.

There are Islamic nut jobs, we have one as president. That doesn't mean the New World Order, who daddy bush pushed so hard on us and openly talked about, can't use and fund these Islamic extremist to take away freedoms. Then call us racist because we don't want them living next door to us. Wake up. Iraq isn't better now?/? We destroyed families and childrens lives. They weren't all extremist....and I would be extremist vs someone else if they were driving down my street killing people i know. Saddam wasn't a threat....nor Gaddahfi...there is real reasons  we went over there. It wasn't to stabalize it.....just like we shouldn't be destabalizing syria. look up syrian girl on youtube if you want an intelligent syrians perscpective.

I go by a man's track record. That's all we can do, and leave the rest up to God. If Cruz is "one of them", and that includes the baby-murdering, gay-marriage promoting, gun grabbing, environmentalist, freedom-destroying, God-hating, totalitarian Liberals, he has a strange way of showing it.

Like the gap theory, and really I don't have time to go into great detail. I don't believe Scofield Bibles are good, nor do I believe the man was genuine. Just wanted to put that out there. You can research and come to your own conclusion, but my research tells me he's a fraud. Sam Adams has a great sermon series about scofield.

Only those courageous enough to question everything they have ever been taught can find truth. Most people are cowards, blinded, unwilling to think that they could be wrong. I'm not saying I am enlightened, just humble enough to look at all information with an open mind....and realizing the bible is the final authority. To me the real key is...
    1. Scofield bible and it's doctrines
If you aren't correct on who the elect is, or who are the real jews, you won't be correct in end times prophecy.

At this point, I shall simply provide my answer to the question of the original post -- I believe that the first ground represents the unsaved, and that the other three grounds all represented the saved.  Furthermore, I believe that the second and third ground represent backslidden believers in two different categories (for two basically different reasons), and that the fourth ground represents faithful believers who keep the faith, finish the course, and bring forth fruit unto the glory of God.
If anyone is interested in further explanation, I am willing to provide it.  However, my time is limited at the present.

Following the biblical plan of salvation is indeed easy. Those who use the term "easy believism" are referring to the practice of presenting a watered down message and then prodding or pushing someone to repeat a "sinners prayer" and telling them that's all they have to do to be sure of heaven. In these cases there is typically no true, biblical understanding of sin, salvation, Christ or the biblical Gospel by those who repeat the "sinners prayer" (which is so often held forth more as a magic incantation than anything real).
Praise God true, biblical salvation is easy. That's something I try to point out to those who attack Christianity claiming God wouldn't make it so hard to get to Him as Christianity does. The fact is, God made it very easy, with one Way to be right with Him. The idea that multiple ways to God and each person must find the one that's right for them is somehow easier is ridiculous.
The Gospel is simple. Any difficulty is within us as we consider whether to follow the leading of the Spirit or our own flesh.

The "big shot" is Steven Anderson who pastors Faithful Word Baptist Church ---->who has won 1000's to the Lord not only in the Phoenix area, but online as well. BTW, I wouldn't suggest a pretribber to take verses out of Matther 24, Luke 21, or Mark 13. Why? These are parallel passages that in 2 of them, directly say Jesus comes After the Tribulation. That is why pretribbers cling to 1 Thess. 4. Why? It doesn't mention the timing....but guess what? It sounds just like all of the other rapture passages in Matt, Mark, Luke, Rev6, Rev14. HE WILL COME IN THE CLOUDS, WITH POWER, AND GLORY< AND EVERY EYE SHALL SEE HIM. HOLLYWOOD IS WRONG!
If you take the bible literally it says, we will not know the day or hour, but it explicitly says we know the time and seasons. We aren't in darkness.

    Acts 20
27For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God. 28Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood. 29For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. 30Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them. 31Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears. 32

They were teaching "perverse things" way back then, just like now. If those dudes were living today, they would be teaching heresies just like today. Some would be chauffeured in Bentleys and $46 million jets, "preaching" on TV in "Megachurches". Some would less conspicuously be teaching Calvinism or Arminianism in a little 60-member "Baptist" or Pentecostal church down the street. Not everything from the "olden times" was "old time religion": they were just as wicked as today. Beware.

I liked this documentary.  I watched it almost a month ago.  i actually enjoy listening to him (although I don't agree with everything he says) but his "America Great Babylon" movie on youtube is what started me back to reading and listening to the scriptures online and pulled me out of practicing paganism (Thank you Jesus that's over).  I know that he offends many but I enjoy his sermons.

I must confess to not knowing much about these early bishops, or what branch of the church they belonged, or what evidence may link them to the apostles. (I also confess to not being able to listen to the video yet, as I'm supposed to be at work!) Remember that the Catholic Church spent many centuries destroying the works of other - maybe the true - churches, and creating its own writings. The earlier the writing, the more likely it is to have been influenced by their heresy. But I have access to the earliest writings of the church, preserved by a reliable source that may be trusted not to include spurious writings or later editorials by heretics. It's called the New Testament.   In that text, we see already that there were teachers in the church that were changing the doctrine. The book of Galatians especially speaks to this - it was basically written to a church that had people coming in teaching that now you were saved, you had to keep the law for sanctification.
    Jude 3-4
    2 John 9-10
    Titus 3:10-11
    2 Timothy 4:14-17
    Galatians 3:1-3; 5:1-9

I've started listening to it and unfortunately at 15 minutes in he's still not on to making his first point...I'll comb through my resources sometime this week (particularly the one's he says he's using as resources) and have a look though. However, I have to go with UM's statement that just because they were alive in the 2nd century does not necessarily make them more right. Start with the Bible and if what they say doesn't match, then they're wrong no matter who they knew during their lifetime. The pastor(s) of the church at Corinth knew Paul personally too and look what happened there...
