Ronda got a reaction from 1Timothy115 in UN’s ‘Absurd’ Birthday Present to Israel: Resolution Brands Them ‘Occupiers’
We can readily see that the UN has become nothing but a mouthpiece for islam now. We also know they don't recognize GOD's land deed to Israel, the oldest land deed on record. BUT if they won't recognize THAT, and if they want to go to 'pre-67 borders' then they should consider the British Mandate of the 1920's.
In the British Mandate, they gave Israel specifically to the Jews (and called it the 'Jewish Palestine'), at that same time, they also gave Jordan to the arabs (and called it the 'arab palestine'). IF they want to contend that the British Mandate of the 1920's is (supposedly) irrelevant, WHY then did Jordan get to KEEP that exact area of land as specified in the British Mandate??? BUT Israel did not??? Why is it supposedly binding for JORDAN? But NOT for Israel?
They want to continue to sliver off more and more land from the Jews. They erroneously called it trading "land for peace". Yet when Israel gave them the Sinai AND Gaza, did they get peace??? NO! They got terrorist launching pads. Gaza is given BILLIONS in funds every year, the money was ear-marked specifically for infrastructure of the area. Yet what does the PA spend the money on? Funding terrorists, even paying family members exorbitant amounts of money if their family member is martyred in the name of 'allah'.  Those PAWNS that live in Gaza have not received any infrastructure benefits of the monies allocated for it. Instead, Gaza isn't paying for their electricity NOR water, and they are right now demanding Israel pay for that as well. (Shut them off it they won't pay their bills!!!).

The fakistinians already got their 'arab palestine'. It's called Jordan. They need to go there.

"And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, God your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth." Revelation 16:1
In Revelation 16:1, the start of the judgment of the vials clearly state that the vials pour out the wrath of God; that does not preclude that the seals do not also contain the wrath of God on the earth. Nor, is Revelation 16:1 an absolute delineation of the wrath of God on the earth. Just because the word 'wrath' occurs at this juncture does not preclude 'wrath' taking place before this juncture.
As I stated before, a minute (detailed), study of the prophecies of the Old Testament prophets will show that at the start of the 7 year Tribulation period the wrath, vengeance, punishment, and destruction of the earth commences. This a study of great magnitude, as the study in of the prophecies of the Old Testament prophecies concerning the Millennium in Revelation 20:4-7 was of great magnitude. As of the foreseeable future, I do not have the time available to go through the entire study.
The detailed study on Revelation 20:4-6 and the Old Testament prophecies, took me from June 30, 2016 to March 9, 2017, to complete. A study on Revelation chapter 6:1-19:21 would take over a year or so. For everybody's information. I am have completed a study on Revelation 1:1 to 13:18, in Chinese, at our church here on Taiwan. All of the material is in Chinese; not in English. Once I finish the study I will translate it into English. So, a through study at this time is not possible.
    Brethren,
The belief of a mid-tribulation rapture, or post tribulation rapture, is not a traditional IFB belief and is of recent occurrence by individuals (Pastor Steven Anderson and Brother Kent Hovind are two well-known individuals), in the IFB churches. IFB's are generally known for the belief of a pre-tribulation rapture of the church. Your statement misconstrues the early, and most of the current, IFB pastors, missionaries, Bible teachers, and evangelists.
I am of the persuasion that Revelation 16:1 is taken out of context from the rest of the judgments of the 7 Year Tribulation Period as prophesied by the prophets, in order to prove one point; a mid-tribulation rapture of the church. The proponents of this argument forget the reasons for the 7 Year Tribulation Period; the judgment of God, the punishment of God, and the keeping of the church age saints from the judgment, wrath, and punishment of God on the inhabitants of the earth.
The proponents of this theory are also forgetting that the 7 year Tribulation Period is  the time of "Jacob's Trouble,' Jeremiah 30:1-9, in order to restore the nation of Israel. The 7 Year Tribulation Period has nothing to do with the church.
I am of the persuasion that Revelation 16:1 is taken out of context from the rest of the judgments of the 7 Year Tribulation Period (the seven seals), due to the unbelief that the coming of Christ occurs just before the 7 Year Tribulation Period commences.
I am confident that if the brethren personally re-studied the prophecies of the Old Testament prophets, they will discover for themselves, that the entire 7 Year Tribulation Period is a time of the wrath, judgment, vengeance, punishment on the face of the earth by Almighty God, the restoration of the nation of Israel, and the church age saints have nothing to do with this entire episode of human history.

The entire 7 years of the Tribulation period, starting from the first seal when the Anti-Christ conquers the earth, is a time of the wrath of God upon the face of the entire earth.
Revelation 6:3 & 4 continues the conquering of the entire earth by military methods by stating,"And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword."
In the Bible, starting from the book of Job, and continuing to the book of Revelation, God uses the "sword" to bring His WRATH upon men to punish men, and wrack the vengeance and judgment of God on the earth. In the Tribulation period, the WRATH of God is on the entire earth and not just in a specific country, continent, or people group.
Job said, "Be ye afraid of the sword: for wrath bringeth the punishments of the sword, that  ye may know there is a judgment." Job 19:29
Maybe (as I stated a long time back), in a different thread, by doing a study of the prophecies of the Old Testament prophets, I will bring out in minute detail that from Revelation 6:1-19:21, starting from the first seal and continuing throughout  the seven seals, the entire 7 years of the Tribulation Period,  is a time of the wrath, vengeance, judgment, and punishment of God upon the entire world.

    Amen and amen!
    Thank you Jordan.
From the start off the Tribulation Period in Revelation 6:1 to the Coming of Christ in Revelation 19:11, the whole seven years is a time of the judgment and the wrath of God upon the face of this entire earth. The horrific events of destruction before, and after, the mid-point is unparalleled in history.

Here are a few basic benefits of using an alternative operating system as opposed to Windows and Apple/Mac...
    1. Linux and BSD are free to use, and they offer free software. We know Windows is all about money, and Apple is too. Apple is actually a free BSD system that they took and modified/customized, and then charge for.
    2. Chances are miniscule of getting a virus with Linux and BSD systems. They aren't 100% immune, it's mainly that Windows is the most popular operating system in the world, and hackers want the biggest "bang for their buck". I've used Linux for years now, and I've never had one instance of a virus or malware. Though there are antivirus programs for Linux, I don't use one...I just have my firewall active and am careful with my web browsing.
    3. Your computer will be basically as fast 10 years from now as the first day you started using it.
    4. I already mentioned it, but they offer free software from their own repositories...another huge bonus as far as security against malware and viruses.
While Linux has made huge strides over the years, there are still some things that it can't do when compared to Windows or Mac; however, for an average computer user, it's a great choice. Linux continues to improve, and the distance between what it can do as compared to Windows and Mac continues to get smaller and smaller.
The biggest drawback is the learning curve...but once you get it, you love it. We still have a couple of Windows computers, but I don't even like using them anymore.
I also lied...though I've returned to Xubuntu, I forgot that I do still have Debian on my old 32bit laptop. Like Windows, many Linux operating systems are dropping 32bit versions...Ubuntu and Arch included...but Debian is continuing it. At least they've made no announcement of plans to drop it.

John, I hope you're trolling here. To say that he was suffering from some sort of mental illness when he said some things he said, but to stand and uphold other things he said, and to outright deny that he said certain things he is well known for, well, either you have no sense of reality in yourself, or you;'re just playing with us.
Billy Graham gave up basic solid Bible doctrine for the love and approval of the world a long time ago. He is an ecumenical compromiser, at best, and the fringe of heresy, at worst.

Ronda reacted to HappyChristian in Billy Graham
Billy Graham, over the years, went his own way rather than sticking completely with scripture. He was warned by a number of men who saw the trail he was beginning to take. He chose to ignore the warnings of men like Dr. John R. Rice, Dr. Bob Jones I, Dr. Charles Woodbridge, etc (and I'm not lifting any of those men up - just naming a few names of well-known men who rebuked Graham early on).  As early as 1957 Graham had modernists (120 of them) on his crusade committee.
While there have been people saved via Graham's ministry, that does not excuse his disobedience - any more than some fruit in ministry excuses ANY sin on the part of ANYone.
We can choose to believe or not believe whatever we want (although it is illogical to disbelieve that what someone claims to believe - and teaches it over the years - is what they actually believe). But the Bible tells us "out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh." Graham's mouth spoke what was in his heart, and a good bit of it was heresy.

Ronda reacted to HappyChristian in Billy Graham
That is then even more egregious. Because if he is preaching salvation and then lying about other things he supposedly believes, then logically folks who are lost will reject salvation because Graham is a liar about everything else he believes.
Your logic falls apart simply on the basis that we have no choice but to believe what a person says when they assert their belief in something. You do not know his mind, so you cannot definitively state that he doesn't believe what he says he believes. It is circular reasoning at best which has no logically sound outcome.

Graham: "The tremendous discipline that they have in Islam in the sense that there's a judgment if you do wrong, and there's a tremendous hope that people have that you are Islamic. Suppose you die on the battlefield fighting for Islam, the promises they give you for the first thousand years would make any young man say, 'Well, I think that's what I'd like to have.' They have so many things. And I think Islam is misunderstood too, because Mohammed had a great respect for Jesus, and he called Jesus the greatest of the prophets except himself. my two cents.  I taught this morning on Soul Liberty explaining to the Sunday School class that the wicked in Daniel 3 purposely used the law to get rid of the believers, Haman used the law to get rid of the Jews, the religious elite in Jesus's day used the law to rid the nation of Christ etc.  The fact is that when we speak our mind and hold our ground regardless of the cost wicked men and women will stop at nothing in their quest to silence the principles of the word of God.  As brother Alan has stated we need to prepare for worse days and accept we will be persecuted and yet determine we will practice Soul Liberty.
Secondly the word perilous used in 2 Timothy 3:1 is only used in one other verse in scripture and references the source and anger of the demon possessed man of Gadara. (Matthew 8) Leading me to believe Paul references a time of fierce demonic activity in the end times including possession.

I think you've hit the nail on the head with the answer, brother Alan. 2 Tim.3 tells us of the characteristics in the perilous last days. Verses 1-7 and v.13 gives these 20 specifics:

    1. Lovers of themeselves
    2. Boasters
    3. Proud
    4. Blasphemers
    5. Disobedient to parents
    6. Unthankful
    7. Unholy
    8. Without natural affection
    9. Trucebreakers
    10. False accusers
    11. Incontinent (unable/unwilling to control themselves)
    12. Fierce (unnecessarily cruel and vicious)
    13. Despisers of those that are good
    14. Traitors
    15. Heady (rash / willful)
    16. Highminded
    17. Lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God
    18. Having a form of godliness but denying the power thereof
    19. Ever learning but unable to come to the knowlege of the truth
    20. Evil men/seducers wax worse and worse deceiving and being deceived

You can find the answer within several of these descriptions. In the case of those promoting a false gospel or ecumenicism, we can clearly see that "evil men and seducers" ARE getting progressively "worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived". Those are the ones who also have "a form of godliness, but deny the power thereof".

It'snot just these false doctrines and false and erroneous "more than one path" nonsense, but the unsaved world is ALSO increasingly rebelling against God and mocking true believers.
I have noticed (and especially over the last 2-3 years in specific) that unbelievers have "got a grudge" not just against believers, but against ANYTHING truthful.  It's not just against churches, it's against conservative values, against ANY good thing in general. They HATE good and cling to evil. Not only so.. but they want to squash the free speech of anything truthful and replace it with what they even KNOW to be lies to appease their guilty consciences. They don't want to be reminded that they are sinners. So (in my personal experience over the last 2 or so years witnessing to the lost COMPARATIVELY with the many years prior witnessing to the lost)... they not only do NOT want to hear it, they want to OUTLAW the free speech of others to proclaim truth, especially the gospel, especially KJV scripture!

Yes, any of the characteristics noted in 2 Tim.3 have been around since Cain slew Abel. BUT we are seeing the convergence of end time prophecy lining up along with end time characteristics. I don't think it's for naught that the Lord said the last days would be "as in the days of Noe" and "as in the days of Lot"  (Luke 17). NOT just because of Romans 1:18-32 characteristics... but because of ALL sinful wickedness in the unsaved world is increasing exponentially. And while it's horrific to witness (and makes sharing the gospel more difficult than ever) it DOES also give us an indication of just how near the rapture is.

I am thankful President Trump is working hard to restore some of our Christian freedoms and rights. I just hope he can get enough done to make a difference. It was wonderful to see him sign the repeal of the "Johnson Amendment", BUT Congress needs to act on the full repeal of the "Johnson Amendment", otherwise it's merely a temporary gesture.

I  was disheartened when suffering through Comey's fiasco earlier this week. When asked about the IRS targeting the "Tea Party" and other conservative organizations, Comey admitted that it was POSSIBLE there was wrong doing but he  "couldn't make a case" because he "couldn't prove intent".  He also admitted that Anthony Weiner and Huma abedin HAD unlawfully kept and shared classified information on an insecure computer. But (Comey) said he "couldn't make a case" because he "couldn't prove intent". Then he again admitted it was likely a conflict of interest when past AG Lynch had met with former president Bill Clinton on the tarmac/plane, BUT again claimed he "couldn't make a case" because he "couldn't prove intent". (Then he gushed over how much he LOVES and respects Loretta Lynch). He also admitted that Hillary had classified emails on an unsecure server, AND that she had SHARED some of those classified emails with Huma Abedin and her former spouse Anthony Weiner, but AGAIN Comey claimed he "couldn't make a case" because he "couldn't prove intent". Then when the question of Susan Rice and her alleged misuse of unmasking and disseminating  classified information could be a crime and should have a special prosecutor requested, he hemmed and hawed and the subject was changed to Mike Flynn (who is a democrat, by the way, and his security clearance was given by the Obama administration), Comey THEN decides that "perhaps a special prosecutor should be considered"????

It is more than apparent that FBI director James Comey is playing partisan politics... but what was more troubling was his apparent lack of respect for the LAW and the CONSTITUTION when Ted Cruz brought forth the legal code showing without a shadow of a doubt that it was/is not Comey's JOB to "prove intent", but to recommend future action to the DOJ and AG. Comey seem nonplussed. He has no respect for the law, nor his position as director of FBI. But instead is rather smug in his position, believing he cannot be ousted (and it IS difficult to remove an acting FBI director prior to his completion of a 10 year tenure). Obama appointed him in 2013, and if he is to serve his full 10 year tenure, he won't leave office until 2023 :(

The entire time I was watching this dog and pony show... I kept thinking of Isaiah 59:14-15
14 "And judgment is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter."
15 "Yea, truth faileth; and he that departeth from evil maketh himself a prey: and the Lord saw it, and it displeased him that there was no judgment."

While I do believe President Trump is acting to bring back Christian freedoms and constitutional rights, I also think that the 'deep state' (whom I believe to be led by evil demonic influence) is too deeply entrenched for even the best of presidents to unravel and defeat.
I believe God heard our voices on election night, and I also believe the Lord is watching over Pres.Trump... there are so many death threats and open avowing to do him physical harm, besides the basest of derogatory remarks airing on television.... That the Lord MUST be protecting him. But I do not think the US has a long term life. As sad as that is to say, I believe there is a reason we are not noted in Bible prophecy. I am hoping that the ruination of the US comes AFTER the rapture, and I am also hoping that the reason the Lord is right now protecting not just the President, but many of us civilians, is because He desired to give us a reprieve to share the gospel with the lost. I fully believe that since most end time prophecy is lined up and at the door that we won't be here much longer. We can clearly see that characteristics of the 'perilous last day' (2 Tim.3:1-7, 13) are evident. (If you don't believe that, try having a CIVIL conversation with anyone on the left on social media... you will be called names that should make a hardened criminal blush).  While the world appears to be falling apart, it is actually falling into place... into God's prophetic timeline.

“For all the saints and Elect of God are gathered, prior to the tribulation that is to come, and are taken to the Lord lest they see the confusion that is to overwhelm the world because of our sins” (Ephraem the Syrian, On the Last Times).

Observe that Ephraem taught that the saints will be taken to the Lord so they will not see the confusion that is to overwhelm the world, which is exactly what 1 Thessalonians 5:3-9 says.

Ephraem taught a literal antichrist who will sit in a literal rebuilt temple in Jerusalem, a literal 3.5 year Tribulation, a literal Two Witnesses or prophets who will preach in Jerusalem, a literal battle of Gog and Magog.

“And when the three and a half years have been completed, the time of the Antichrist, through which he will have seduced the world, after the resurrection of the two prophets, in the hour which the world does not know, and on the day which the enemy or son of perdition does not know, will come the sign of the Son of Man, and coming forward the Lord shall appear with great power and much majesty, with the sign of the word of salvation going before him, and also even with all the powers of the heavens with the whole chorus of the saints. ... Then Christ shall come and the enemy shall be thrown into confusion, and the Lord shall destroy him by the Spirit of his mouth. And he shall be bound and shall be plunged into the abyss of everlasting fire alive with his father Satan; and all people, who do his wishes, shall perish with him forever; but the righteous ones shall inherit everlasting life with the Lord for ever and ever” (Ephraem the Syrian, On the Last Times, the Antichrist, and the End of the World, A.D. 373).

Ephraem believed in the imminency of the return of Christ and urged his fellow Christians to live godly lives in expectation of His return.
Invicta please take back your statement from earlier that implies that the Pre-Tribulation Rapture was invented by the Irvingites. Anyone who reads the above quotes from Ephraem the Syrian can clearly see that he did in fact teach a Pre-Tribulation Rapture. Just because you claim that people are misunderstanding doesn't change the truth. If you don't want to believe in a Pre-Tribulation Rapture, then that's your choice, but please stop spreading misinformation about the position.
    The Following is also interesting:
    MORGAN EDWARDS (1722-1795)

Morgan Edwards was one of the most prominent Baptist leaders of his day. He was the pastor of the Baptist church in Philadelphia and the founder of Brown University, the first Baptist college in America. A summary of life was featured in the Baptist Encyclopedia. He was one of the first Baptist historians of repute, his Materials Toward A History of the Baptists (1770) providing a foundation for all subsequent works.

Following is what Edwards believed about Bible prophecy:

“The distance between the first and second resurrection will be somewhat more than a thousand years. I say, somewhat more; because the dead saints will be raised, and the living changed at Christ’s ‘appearing in the air’ (I Thes. iv. 17); and this will be about three years and a half before the millennium, as we shall see hereafter: but will he and they abide in the air all that time? No: they will ascend to paradise, or to some one of those many ‘mansions in the father's house’ (John xiv. 2), and disappear during the foresaid period of time. The design of this retreat and disappearing will be to judge the risen and changed saints; for ‘now the time is come that judgment must begin,’ and that will be ‘at the house of God’ (I Pet. iv. 17)” (Edwards, Two Academical Exercises on the Subjects Bearing the Following Titles; Millennium and Last-Novelties, 1744).
What has Edwards said? Note the following:
    • He believes that at least 1,003.5 years will transpire between resurrections.
    • He associates the first resurrection with the rapture in 1 Thess. 4:17, occurring at least 3.5 years before the start of the millennium (i.e., at least 3.5 years before the second coming of Christ at the start of the millennium.
    • He associates the meeting of believers with Christ in the air and returning to the Father's house with John 14:2, as do modern pretribulationists.
    • He sees believers disappearing during the time of the tribulation, which he goes on to talk about in the rest of the section from which the rapture statement is taken.
    • He, like modern pretribulationists, links the time in heaven, during the tribulation, with the "bema" judgment of believers.
The only difference, at least as far as the above statements go, between current pretribulationism and Edwards is the time interval of 3.5 years instead of 7. In fact, anti-pretribulationist John Bray wonders,
    https://www.wayoflife.org/reports/when_was_the_pre_tribulation_rapture_taught.html
    http://www.pre-trib.org/articles/view/morgan-edwards-another-pre-darby-rapturist
You can find more examples of believers who held to the rapture before the Irvingites or Darby here: http://www.pre-trib.org/articles/view/yet-another-pre-darby-rapture-statement
Invicta if you are going to insist that the quotes above are not evidence that Christians taught the Rapture before Darby or the Irvingites then the burden of proof is on you to refute the quotations, simply saying they don't mean what they appear to say is not really a valid response.

    Brethren,
In an, "National Day of Prayer speech," President Donald Trump signed an Executive Order that forces the Federal Government, specifically the IRS, to not target Christians, churches, and pastors for the following of their religious beliefs. This Executive Order will, among other things, cancel the Johnson Amendment that prohibited pastors, from their pulpit, by the threat of revoking their tax exempt status, from making political comments or getting involved in social issues.
Quite frankly I believe that this Executive Order will stop a lot of the political, social, and special rights groups from verbally, and legally, attacking pastors, Christians and churches.

Also, in the beginning of his speech, President Trump partially quoted James 1:17 when he said, freedom "... is a gift of God." throughout the speech President Trump reminded the public that our founding fathers (he quoted Thomas Jefferson at one point), enshrined religious freedom as the first (and main), freedom in our great land of religious faith.
President Trump is trying to reverse the evil, unjust, un-democratic, un-constitutional, attack on our religious freedom from the Federal Government, special rights groups, the homosexual crowd, the socialist and communist leaning men and women in power in our country, and give us back our Constitutional rights.
And, President Trump is reversing the trend of revising the early American religious, Christian, history of our country.
I think with signing this Executive Order that President Trump is helping America being a better country again.
I think that President's Trump is answered prayer from God above in starting to heal our land from the destructive actions of Clinton, Obama, and the militant atheists and homosexual crowd. "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." 2 Chronicles 7:14
May God above bless all of you.

My view of it is this...
After all that transpired in regard to Abraham, Sarah, Hagar, Ishmael, and including the birth of Isaac...we find this in Genesis 21:12 (which is a verse already pointed out)...
    Genesis 21:12
And God said unto Abraham, Let it not be grievous in thy sight because of the lad, and because of thy bondwoman; in all that Sarah hath said unto thee, hearken unto her voice; for in Isaac shall thy seed be called.
Four things I notice in that one verse...
It's God talking. God referred to Hagar as "thy bondwoman" instead of "thy wife". God told Abraham to do what Sarah said; which was, to cast Hagar and Ishmael out. Doing so would remove a "human hindrance and interference" to God's will and plan; which was, that through Isaac "shall thy seed be called"...not through Ishmael. God was in agreement with casting them out; therefore, there was no wrong done on Abraham's part.

    MC,
My answer is speculation, so take it as such.
When I read the "wife" part, I read it as that was something Sarai (Sarah) was doing...not what God was doing. SHE gave Hagar to be Abram's wife. Yes, the Holy Ghost inspired Moses to include the account in scripture, but that doesn't mean the action was God's action or choosing.
As I read over the account, when God and the angel of the LORD are personally speaking, I don't see God or the angel of the LORD refer to Hagar as Abram's wife. Rather, they refer to her as "Sarai's maid" and "bondwoman"...but never as Abram's wife.
In fact, when Hagar fled in Genesis 16, the angel of the LORD told her to return to...her mistress (Sarai)...he didn't say to return to her husband (Abram). She was still viewed as Sarai's maid/bondwoman by God.
As always, I could be wrong...that's how I see it though.
