The tenants and doctrines of Christianity (i.e. God, Spirit, faith, salvation, etc.) are not understood through the new-ager’s pre-received definitions. With little to no Biblical training (as in any other needful study) a personal definition and understanding is developed and applied. Thus, they interpret what you’re saying and define it with their own dictionary. In other words, the new-ager or postmodernist, has no idea what you are talking about. The recourse is entirely with the Holy Spirit.
1 Corinthians 2:14   But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

The OP as a poem it appears innocent enough, but subtly promotes humanistic ideas and thought.
"As you close your eyes in slumber do you think that God would say, You have earned one more tomorrow by the work you did today?"
The word of God teaches us... Romans 7:18 "For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not."  Titus 3:5 "Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;"
"It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.  They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness." Lamentations 3:22-23 "Not of works, lest any man should boast." Ephesians 2:9

Shutting down this thread because it's going nowhere good fast. And is also possibly the most ridiculous thread topic I've seen in 15 years on this board.

After reading the link, it unfortunately does not answer my questions. We keep getting general stats from the cdc and nothing specific.

I once belonged to an IFB that specifically chose not to have Sunday evening services and encouraged home fellowships in their stead so that the congregation could get to know each other better on a more personal basis. While this approach is certainly not for everyone, it did have its merits. My wife and I were new to IFB at the time and these more personal gatherings allowed us to grow much quicker than otherwise "I think". It was through one such gathering that my wife finally conceded to Homeschool our children, seeing how well it worked for others and how it was not beyond her grasp if she had the Lord by her side.
Our current church had to forego all in church gatherings for several months back when COVID first reared its ugly head mainly because we are in New York where the government is easily moved to be rather draconian. We did have regular services online during that time, and our pastor also set up regular Zoom gatherings during the week where we could all get together and fellowship. As soon as it was possible we got back into the church proper, though, and that is by far the best situation.
Personally I think all this COVID nonsense is just another means Satan is using to divide and conquer (as I believe this very topic attests to). It has pulled people out of the church and, for some, weakened their faith. It has made many people fearful of others and reluctant to gather. Satan knows that individually we are easier to pick off, and it makes for a much weaker church, which leads to a weaker godly presence in the community; especially now when our communities need that godly presence most.
    Sad. Pray.
Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them. MT 18:19-20

I do remember Decatur, and I'm sorry to hear that. It sounds a lot like here!

I was able to go to church tonight for the first Sunday evening service since my mom fell. My hubs is sick, so he stayed home with her. Our son taught Sunday School and preached the morning service and then taught tonight.
Sunday School was our son, me, and my mom. Two people joined us for morning service. This evening it was my son, me, and a gentleman who has been coming lately (his car didn't start this morning).
Yep. It's disheartening. But we are praying and trusting God to build His church.

If you remember Decatur, it is very rural, and attendance is down. Some do watch the online service. It is difficult to encourage in person attendance. It seems harder to slow anyone down long enough to even speak to about the Lord, yes including 'Christians'.

Your hypothetical is a non sequitur for the context of the transplant discussion. Anyway, how on earth would a doctor know if the "alcoholic" in your dramatic scenario would return to alcoholism? He wouldn't. It is a travesty when a flu virus is the determining factor for who receives essential care to preserve a life.

Why your rulers are backtracking on the covid narrative
How the reprobates have operated for decades securing the moral majority's "tolerance":
“The propagandist will not accuse the enemy of just any misdeed; he will accuse him of the very intention that he himself has and of trying to commit the very crime that he himself is about to commit. He who wants to provoke a war not only proclaims his own peaceful intentions but also accuses the other party of provocation. . . . the accusation aimed at the other’s intention clearly reveals the intention of the accuser. But the public cannot see this because the revelation is interwoven with facts.”
Our ruling propagandists have to backtrack, since so much of their Covid narrative has collapsed. But be prepared for them to promote a new and improved blame game against their chosen villains, including Republicans, the unvaccinated, and so on.

Concerning not treating people who have not had a COVID show brings up the question, not just with COVID but with other conditions also. When should they be treated and when should treatment be denied.
I went through elementary school with a fellow who was an alcoholic by the time he was in his mid teens. Years later, was in depart need of a liver transplant. Knowing he was an alcoholic and knowing he was not going to stop drinking, should he be given a transplant or should the kidney when it became available be given to the next person on the list where it was a match?
They gave him the liver transplant. He continued heavy drinking and destroyed that liver also. Was that the proper thing for and doctors to do?
When does the greater good outweigh the lesser good? To me it is a hard ethical question.

"Do No Harm"  This is the critical part of their oath. If they can choose between doing the transplant or not, and choose not to; that is doing harm.

So my local hospital, UVA, took a man off the list for a kidney transplant because he wasn't vaxed even though he already had the Delta infection.  Apparently, he said he'd rather die than take Fauci's money jab.
