I hear preachers and evangelists on the radio using the MEVs* frequently--BUT, when they quote, they fall back on the kJV language they memorized and understand.
So, you're saying for 400 years folks had no trouble understanding the language of the KJV, correct? So, now I'll ask you a question or two.
Have people dumbed down that they don't understand what people have understood for 400 years? Or, sadly, is it possible preachers and evangelists are dumbing down?
No, I didn't take your poll.

O.K. Here are pics of my older one, Cambridge wide margin, I bought it in Va. Bch. while attending Tabernacle Baptist Church in Va. Bch., Va. in about 1983. I bought my most recent from Local Church Bible Publishers located in Lansing, MI and the inside is a page by page copy of my Cambridge, exception being the inclusion of the translators preface and the dedicatory of the 1611. Otherwise even the page numbers for the books of the Bible are the same and also has wide margin. I prefer a wide margin for notes. I also prefer not to have study or notes of others, just the KJV. I've seen others lean too heavily on the study notes.

    Bill, to answer your IM
I am Baptist not a white supremacist.
I'm am not a member of any extremist group nor have I ever been. Although, among Antifa and BLM my denial would only prove that I am a racist. Therefore, if I deny I am a racist it proves that I am one and if I say I am a racist, well.... This is modus operandi among commie revolutionaries.
The only group I am a member of other than the body of Christ is my local KJV IFB Baptist Church.
I was a member of the local rifle club but let my membership lapse because of finances. And before you assume the club is a white "militia" there were two blacks and one Jew who joined the same time I did.
I also was a member of the local gym but stopped going because, well, I'm lazy when it comes to exercise.
I will leave you with one interesting quote, though from a Harvard educated professor by the name of Noel Ignatiev:
"The goal of abolishing the White race is on its face so desirable that some may find it hard to believe that it could incur any opposition other than from committed White supremacists."
The lovely Mr. Ignatiev, who passed away a few months ago and is undoubtedly burning in hell right now, was suggesting that that the day will come that only "white supremacists" will oppose the genocide of the so-called "White race" as he puts it.
My point is that this obsession with race will turn many white folks who were never racist to begin with into bonafide racists. Especially with crazy quotes like the one above.

Everything you need to know about nicotine Nicotine: Facts, effects, and addiction (medicalnewstoday.com) "While not cancer-causing or excessively harmful on its own, nicotine is heavily addictive and exposes people to the extremely harmful effects of tobacco dependency."
There is no quitting the addictive effects of nicotene. Only Jesus Christ can remove the poison of nicotene infiltrating every cell of an addicted smoker's body. Yes, confession is good for the soul, it was good for mine.

Exactly, for the past four years the progressive left and their hounds have done exactly that toward our duly elected president Trump. So, you would expect any less from those disenfranchised by this hoax election perpetuated by those same hounds? Now, therefore in retrospect put Pelosi and her gang, Shumer and his ilk, and the leaders of NBC, CBS, CNN, and MSNBC in jail now.

1Timothy115 reacted to Jim_Alaska in Supreme Court Rules Against Texas
Folks, The Supreme Court ruled against Texas in saying that Texas has no standing to submit a case against another state. Bill takes this to mean that there was no fraud or illegal activities in this election at all. He has said this over and over again; this tells me that that he has zero understanding of how our judicial system works, or the rules that The Supreme Court goes by.
You will never convince him on a message forum platform that there was no fraud in this election process.
I suspect that by the time this all ends he will have received an education in how our judicial system works, as well as the fact that there most assuredly was fraud, as will be proven.
But he does know exactly how one thing works...Communism. Interesting.

"They have no more cloke for their sin" - John 15:22
The same principle applies. Trump showed up and flushed them all out for the frauds and traitors they are. There's no more hiding it. The Pharisees wanted their King gone so they could remain in power (John 11:47-53). The Establishment wants Trump gone for the same reason.
Whether there was fraud or not (there was) is irrelevant. 50+ million believes there was and the Democrats and MSM have laid the foundation for that "faith" over the last four years.
Next move, to force Biden out. They are already working on that by "exposing" something 70 million people already knew about his son.
Bill, you wanted Communism. Get ready for it. And no whining when it comes.

No, it doesn't "close" any doors. SCOTUS did not rule on the MERITS of the case, only on their belief that TX did not have standing regarding PA's election activities. There are still a lot of cases out there, in different states, for different reasons.
So, please, stop this. It appears you are rejoicing that Marxism may "win" the day...although it had to STEAL it to "win" it.  But, again, it's not over yet.
There is still process to go through, and, as I said, cases in courts. How about, instead of starting a brand new thread with every little bit of bad news you can rejoice in, you make your comments in the plethora of threads you've already started? (BTW, that's not really a request...from here on out, please place your comments in threads you've already started...otherwise I'm going to think it's spam...)

We all know who the god of this world is and this is of know surprise to us. The Supreme Court has been siding with Satan for 50 years now.
You apparently think this is a sign of things getting better when it is nothing but a dog returning to its vomit

OK, I gotcha. I think the verses can apply to any church in any age not just America but it definitely seems the door is shutting on American churches. I recall reading that there are more now missionaries being sent to America from other nations than are being sent out by American churches. I'm not sure how true this is but it wouldn't surprise me.

True, but I see the door closing. We have a printing press at my church and we have had difficulty getting the tracts over the border to Mexico because of restrictions. Things are getting more and more restrictive and if there's something to the "Great Reset" it may get harder since travel will be extremely limited to those considered essential i.e. loaded with money
Also, will a missionary take a vaccine to go overseas? They will most likely make it a requirement. Suppose the vaccine is developed from aborted babies which AstraZeneca admits theres is or something else pernicious about it. Will a missionary want to take that it to make the trip?

In fact, there are still many American missionaries going forth to the world with the gospel. In fact, I just got a letter from a missionary today, in Thailand, who was telling of the many souls being saved and lives changed, even in the face of great persecution. The door is still open. Unfortunately, today, America is becoming almost a new mission field, as Christ is little preaches in many of our own streets and churches.
