John Young reacted to Alan in Believing on the LORD Jesus Christ (By Bro. John Young, Green Meadow Bible Baptist Church, Kalamazoo MI)
Thank you for the fine message on Romans 1:16 & 17 concerning the gospel of Christ; true belief in Christ, repentance, humbleness in the sight of God, and salvation in the work of Christ, and His righteousness, alone.
Thank you also for your four thoughts in soul-winning efforts, your love for soul-winning, and bringing out the fruits of repentance. Keep up your soul-winning preaching and efforts. "In the morning sow thy seed, and in the evening withhold not thine hand: for thou knowest not whether shall prosper, either this or that, or whether they both shall be alike good." Ecclesiastes 11:6

A wonderful devotion and commentary of Joseph Bro. Alan. I have always loved the story of Joseph, not just for the story, but also for the inspiration his life is in so many ways. It is not limited to simply old testament history, but gives us today the inspiration to overcome under even the most adverse of life's situations.
While Joseph is certainly a type of Christ, when viewed in this capacity he exhibits the power and determination to use his life situations for God's glory as well as the saving of his people. He used the adversity for good even while experiencing the heart wrenching things he went through.
Like Christ, he was forsaken of his own brethren and yet was able to use his affliction for the salvation of his own, as well as the countries surrounding Egypt. Although God had, in Pharaoh's dream, pronounced judgement upon the nation Egypt, He also made a way of escape in the person of Joseph. We find this parallel in the very person of Jesus Christ, which Joseph is a type of. Jesus has been forsaken of his own, sold out and abandoned and yet has been appointed by God as the savior of not only his own, but also of all who will come to him for council in faith.

Thank you for your study on the differences of the Convents, and Promises in the scriptures.
I personally appreciate the fine history (short), on the worship of God by the Chinese in ancient China.
Also, I appreciate the following statement, "We show how the natural divisions and terms already in scripture are there to aid the believer in their study."
    God bless! 😀

Thank you for the encouraging sermon on Psalm 89. As you mentioned, we are in a war: battles will be fought, and sometimes we cannot see the victory in the grand scheme of things. But, God knows what He is doing and victory will come in due time.
Every saint can rest in the promise in Psalm 89:34, "My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips."
"Blessed be the LORD for evermore. Amen and Amen." Psalm 89:52
    Keep up  the good work.

Isaiah 57:15 is one of my favorite verses. "For thus saith [THE HIGH AND LOFTY ONE] that inhabiteth eternity, [WHOSE NAME IS HOLY]; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of [a contrite and humble spirit], to revive [the spirit of the humble], and to revive the heart of [the contrite ones]." As we go through the life of Joseph in these devotions, I would like to express to all of you that God was with Joseph in all of the extreme trials that he went through. Joseph, as with all of God's saints, and the favoured nation of Israel, are led through the trials of life in order to know God,  His will, and experience the work of God through our lives for our good and the good of others; Romans 8:28
As we can see in the life of Joseph, and his love for God, and his trust in God, God has been with Joseph and God will work out all things for his good. The Chinese have a saying, a proverb, that may be a blessing to you as it has been to me.
「天理昭彰」Translated into English, it says that, "The law of heaven always prevails."
The will of God will be performed in the life of Joseph as, "... the LORD was with Joseph."
May God richly bless all of you

Thank you for the exposition of Psalm 82. Psalm 82 is a very difficult chapter to properly interpret.
I do especially appreciate your quoting Matthew 23:39 spoken from the Jews in the end times.
And, God is the supreme Judge in  Heaven.
Micah3:1 is very appropriate in these days, in every country, in every government, and in every age.

After reading this devotion, and looking at my own life, my thoughts concerning the stubborness of my, or our own will, brought me to Proverbs 14:6, "A scorner seekieth wisdom, and findeth it not: but knowledge is easy unto him that understandeth."

Thank you for your testimony and thoughts about the homeless and how a person should deal with the extreme trials that can came to our life.
I also appreciate the following comment that you made as it also pertains to this lesson on Joseph and being a servant in the house of Potiphar.  "They failed to appreciate the fact and the vital life lesson that even though they had been demoted and lost their houses -- it was still a "step-up" from being homeless. "
In my next devotion on Joseph, Genesis 39:7-23 (primarily verses 21-23), we will notice that even as Joseph is brought further down in the station of life, in prison, 'demoted' as you wrote, he still remains steadfast in his faith towards God, maintains his integrity, and works at his demoted station in life as diligently as before.

I enjoy hearing Pastor Kenny Baldwin, Crossroads Baptist Church.
The sermon on 1 Chronicles 21:18-23, by brother Baldwin, preached at Temple Baptist Church, Pastor Sexton, of Crown College, is a blessing.
Among the other passages, Brother Baldwin's preaching on Romans 12:1-2, is a great, "preaching storm."
Ornan was a man who understood God, "And Ornan said unto David,Take it to thee, and let my lord the king do that which is good in his eyes: lo, I give thee the oxen also for burnt offerings, and the threshing instruments for wood, and the wheat for the meat offering: I give it all." 2 Chronicles 21:23
To quote Pastor Baldwin, "I wonder is there an Ornan in the house, ready and willing to say, "I give it all."

John Young reacted to Alan in Leviticus 18 - Social Abominations God Hates (A baseline for Nations)
I appreciate reading your summary of Leviticus 18. The same moral sins listed in the Law of the Old Testament, Leviticus 18 as one example, are still still an abomination in the sight of an Holy God.
The immoral customs of the land of Egypt, the world, is not, repeat not, to do practiced among the saints in any dispensation or in any any country. "After the doings of the land of Egypt, wherein ye dwelt, shall ye not do: and after the doings of the land of Canaan, whither I bring you, shall ye not do: neither shall ye walk in their ordinances." Leviticus 18:3
The Apostle Paul stated, “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and perfect, will of God.” Romans 12:2
When I have time I will listen to the full sermon.
