Easter in Acts 12:4 is the only mention of this word in our King James Bible. While the context and historical Christian tradition clearly shows this word to be reference to the celebration of Christ's resurrection on the Sunday Morning just after the Passover week, many have attempted to paganize or confuse this reference for various reasons. In this lesson we strongly refute those errant ideas and show the clear Christian etymology and origin of the word and why we still gladly use this wonderful English word to refer to the resurrection morning of Christ.
(At about 5 min mark I say "David Gibbs" but meant Brother Sam Gipp and was referencing the pagan myth he believes and promotes in "The Answer Book: A Helpful Book for Christians".)
Special thanks to the KJV Today article (“Easter” or “Passover” in Acts 12:4?) which was helpful in organizing the information for this lesson. It can be found here: “Easter” or “Passover” in Acts 12:4? (kjvtoday.net)

When God balances the world on his scales of justice where will you be found? Will you be found without fault, or will you be found wanting? Will you be rewarded with the righteous or punished with the wicked? In this sermon we deal with these crucial questions and show how imperfect people such as us can not only be fond righteous but also thrive in holiness before God. We also show how we can influence our world for Good and have eternal benefits in the life to come rather than merely surviving in this world alone.
Proverbs 11 - Authorized (King James) Version
1 A false balance is abomination to the Lord: but a just weight is his delight.
2 When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom.
3 The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them.
4 Riches profit not in the day of wrath: but righteousness delivereth from death.
5 The righteousness of the perfect shall direct his way: but the wicked shall fall by his own wickedness.
6 The righteousness of the upright shall deliver them: but transgressors shall be taken in their own naughtiness.
7 When a wicked man dieth, his expectation shall perish: and the hope of unjust men perisheth.
8 The righteous is delivered out of trouble, and the wicked cometh in his stead.
9 An hypocrite with his mouth destroyeth his neighbour: but through knowledge shall the just be delivered.
10 When it goeth well with the righteous, the city rejoiceth: and when the wicked perish, there is shouting.
11 By the blessing of the upright the city is exalted: but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked.

Equilibrium with God and His ways in life and nature is crucial for lasting success. In this message we look at the importance of just weights and measures in everyday life and also the active involvement God has in approving and rejecting false balances in life. We also see the principle of true balance goes beyond the marketplace and is also part of a proper social and moral life with society and society's relationship with God. We see God requires that mankind must maintain a righteous and just balance or be opposed. Knowing we will reap what we sow, Solomon encourages us to diligently and faithfully sow things that will last into eternity rather than wasting time on things that will not last. He also cautions us to sow wholeheartedly in the prescribed way so that we can get the full reward of our labors. In this passage he contrasts those who sow correctly with those who sow in the wrong ways. He shows us that if we are faithful to the ways of God we will have joy and strength for the work and enjoy many years of fruitful service.

    Proverbs 10:24-32
24 The fear of the wicked, it shall come upon him: but the desire of the righteous shall be granted. 25 As the whirlwind passeth, so is the wicked no more: but the righteous is an everlasting foundation. 26 As vinegar to the teeth, and as smoke to the eyes, so is the sluggard to them that send him.
27 The fear of the Lord prolongeth days: but the years of the wicked shall be shortened. 28 The hope of the righteous shall be gladness: but the expectation of the wicked shall perish. 29 The way of the Lord is strength to the upright: but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity. 30 The righteous shall never be removed: but the wicked shall not inhabit the earth.
31 The mouth of the just bringeth forth wisdom: but the froward tongue shall be cut out. 32 The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable: but the mouth of the wicked speaketh frowardness.

A good farmer will have a threefold sure method of receiving, storing and sowing seed in order to maximize the growth of a cash crop every year. It is not a mystical or misterios process. So too it is with God's seed (the Word of God) being planted year after year to bring forth a large and Godly crop for years to come. For the local church to survive and grow year after year, it must follow God's plan for managing his good Seed, which includes proper: Receiving and Selecting, Storing and Maintaining, Giving and Sowing, of that seed.

If Christians only have a warrior mentality and are not diligent for the harvest then no matter how skillful we are with our words the church will starve. It is very critical to always be mindful for the harvest by sowing, nourishing and growing each other with our words rather than fighting and tearing at each other. A true Son of God will always be a caring farmer first and a farmer who can fight second, taking care never to hurt the crop in the process of trying to defend it from harm. In this passage we show the mentality each of us should have in the care of God's Words so that there will be an increase.

As Christians we have been given the task of the Great Commision. In his direction Christ showed us how we are to go about our task is similar in the way a farmer and his family prepares their fields for the Harvest. Such a task does not happen by accident but rather requires a diligent hand focused on the task. In this passage we see that the results of our task is no arbrtachary but rather is corrilated with the effort we put into it to get the expected harvist results that we want. Those that are diligent to the task will always get results but those who are slack will always miss out.
Proverbs 10 The proverbs of Solomon. A wise son maketh a glad father: but a foolish son is the heaviness of his mother. 2 Treasures of wickedness profit nothing: but righteousness delivereth from death. 3 The Lord will not suffer the soul of the righteous to famish: but he casteth away the substance of the wicked. 4 He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich. 5 He that gathereth in summer is a wise son: but he that sleepeth in harvest is a son that causeth shame.

The Book of Romans ends with Paul the Apostle commending many wonderful believers and ministers of faith who spend their time being faithful examples of the Christian life and doctrine Paul has been presenting in his gospel doctrine. He interjects his commendations with an extortion to be careful not to follow the example of those who divide and hurt or teach doctrine contrary to what Paul and other apostles have taught.
"Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple. For your obedience is come abroad unto all men. I am glad therefore on your behalf: but yet I would have you wise unto that which is good, and simple concerning evil. And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen." ~ Romans 16:17-20

It's so easy to get our eyes off of being living vessels of God and instead becoming critical of the Brotherhood by the temptations of our flesh. While it is not wrong to judge with righteous judgement, it is important to use that judgement to help others rather than to merely condemn or complain about them. The "Strong" Brother looks for ways to restore others to usefulness to God.
In Romans 15 Paul the Apostle teaches us that Strong Faith is not about being critical or decisive towards those of other convictions or doctrines but rather as opportunities to help edify and unite the weaker brother in the truth and to help them to become better living vessels of God. More important than division of errant or "weaker" brothers is the work of restoration.

The weak in faith tend to get distracted from the main focus and goal of being living sacrifices of God, to that of fixating on doubtful disputations and judging each other's acceptance by God based on their personal convictions or opinions, rather than on the full and complete payment of Christ. In Romans 14 Paul the Apostle instructs them to receive those weak in faith but not to allow doubtful disputations to define their relationship with each other.
In  this sermon we show what weak faith is and how we can strengthen our faith by receiving and helping the weak in faith by our sacrificial living. By not purposefully offending our brother's convictions and conscience in something we feel that we are free to do, we can take the opportunity to edify them instead of flaunting our rights, to the detriment of their faith.

Wisdom has seven key principles that need to be followed in order for it to be used in a wholesome way. If even one is despised then your place in the house of wisdom will falter. In this message we show the seven pillars and their necessity in our life in order to truly reap all the benefits true wisdom has to offer us.

"Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers." In Romans 13 we are shown the relationship the Christian is to have with civil society as a whole. This includes the government laws, powers, officers, taxes, and civil participation of the nation in which we live. We also speak to the obligation we have toward our civil equals, such as other citizens. In this we also show how the Christian is to work in resolving injustice or properly opposing corruption of those who abuse their civil offices.

If we chose to be living sacrifice (out of gratefulness for what God has freely and richly done for us through Jesus Christ) then we should conduct our Christian lives in a manner fitting that role, by learning how we aught to conduct ourselves to be the best conduits of God's grace.
In this message we look at how to transition what we have learned about faith in the Spiritual into practical aspects of living that faith, that God has given us, out in the physical world around us through our bodies. In these practical aspects we can see the true manner of faith we are to exhibit.

Having spent eleven chapters speaking about what God has done for us, Apostle Paul now tells us what "reasonable service" we can do in response to God for what He has done. We should become "Living Sacrifices" by allowing God's faith to transform our lives. In particular, we are to allow God to use our bodies to express and prove to others what God has done for us in the Spirit, by expressing those things through our bodies. God has conformed our Spirit to that of Christ image and all he ask of us to transform that Spiritual conformity into being visible to others through our physical lives as a testimony of God's Gracious work to us and all of mankind who will humbly submit to Him in faith.
Romans 12:1-2 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

After the fulness of the Gentiles come into Christ, God will again turn His attention back to the nation of Israel, restart their prophetic events, and restore them back to faith by rooting out the wicked generation of unbelieving Jews within their midst.
In this message we explain what the "Time of the Gentiles" is and what it means for Israel when "the fulness of the Gentiles be come in" and make special note that when God returns his focus back to Israel's national restoration to Faith will be a signal that the end of the Churches' Great Commission to the Gentile nations is coming near to an end. We use this to emphasize the importance of witnessing before that end comes.
(We had severe audio issues with the wireless microphone as a result we had to cut a lot of sections from the video. Some Passages and proof references were cut as well so for further study consider these passages with what is left of the message: Romans 9:3-5; Luke 21:24; Matthew 24:14; Romans 9:6; Psalm 22:30; Zachariah 6:9-15; Matthew 23:32-34; Zechariah 12:6-11; Psalm 75; Revelation 14:9-11)

Life at it's source is founded upon and intrinsically linked with Wisdom. It is the spirit which God underlaid all of the natural laws which causes the physical world to function. To know wisdom is to know how the world and life itself, is set up to work naturally. In this we learn that if we model our life after the fundamental principles of wisdom then we will by this principle be completely in tune with how God wishes us to live to our fullest extent.

Learning to recognize the traits and character of true wisdom is key to discerning between it and the many false and flawed "siren song" voices of this world which seek to distract us from the true path of life. Once we can truly recognize her, we then can make her our own. In this sermon we show her true nature and the many benefits given to those who have appropriately applied her to their lives.
Proverbs 8:1-21 Doth not wisdom cry? and understanding put forth her voice? 2 She standeth in the top of high places, by the way in the places of the paths. 3 She crieth at the gates, at the entry of the city, at the coming in at the doors. 4 Unto you, O men, I call; and my voice is to the sons of man. 5 O ye simple, understand wisdom: and, ye fools, be ye of an understanding heart. 6 Hear; for I will speak of excellent things; and the opening of my lips shall be right things. 7 For my mouth shall speak truth; and wickedness is an abomination to my lips. 8 All the words of my mouth are in righteousness; there is nothing froward or perverse in them. 9 They are all plain to him that understandeth, and right to them that find knowledge. 10 Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold. 11 For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.
12 I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions. 13 The fear of the Lord is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate. 14 Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom: I am understanding; I have strength. 15 By me kings reign, and princes decree justice. 16 By me princes rule, and nobles, even all the judges of the earth. 17 I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me. 18 Riches and honour are with me; yea, durable riches and righteousness. 19 My fruit is better than gold, yea, than fine gold; and my revenue than choice silver. 20 I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment: 21 that I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures.

The "Good Olive Tree" is often mistaken as being the Nation of Israel. However in this passage we see in context this Tree is not Israel but rather Christ, The Tree of Life, to which we are grafted into or cut off of on the bases of Faith. In this we show, from Apostle Paul's typology and supporting passages of scripture, the true meaning and nature of God's Olive Tree and how it is in truth a reference to being connected to the Spirit of Christ for strength in performing His ministry and work.
In this message we show how it is important to receive strength for ministry (both of National or Church Covenant, or individual ministry) by remaining connected to the Body of Christ. In this passage we see that the ability of Israel to continued ministering for God (As the Good Olive Tree's caretakers) stopped when they as a nation were broken off from their source of strength and we as gentile believers were graphed in and now make up much of the Church ministers in the Body of Christ.

Every woman has a choice in life to make and The Path that they take will determine the outcome of their life. They have two paths they can take. The path of the Strange Woman (Proverbs Chapter 7) or the path of the Virtuous Woman (Proverbs Chapter 31). In this sermon we contrast the two so that each woman can see the indicators in their own life to see what path they are on and so that the can correct their ways to get fully on the virtuous path and to avoid the traps of the Strange woman who's discontented spirit seeks to pull them away and destroy their life and full potential for peace and joy.

Paul the Apostle gives several examples of how the giving of God's gifts are by His choice and shows us how God makes His choice for whom He will save and whom He will refuse (Romans 9:16, So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.). Here we learn that Salvation is available for all but God will not give it to all (Matthew 22:14, For many are called, but few are chosen.). They must answer the call God's way (In humility and contriteness before Him) and not their own way (with Pride and/or self effort).
In this message we focus on the many steps God takes to cleanse and save whom He will (all of the truly righteous) while ensuring the spiritually wicked will receive just punishment. (2 Peter 2:9, the Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:) We show God's wisdom in this process to ensure none will escape judgement while all his children will be saved. In this process we show how God starts in eternity, beyond moments in time, to determine whom He will save, based on humility, and then orchestrated their salvation in time to ensure none of them would be lost. While hard to understand in our mind, all that we need to be assured we are one of the saved elect is to simply believe God in humility.
(We had audio issues with this recording so a few minutes of silence in some places were cut out.)

Paul the Apostle wanted to meet the Believers who were in Rome because he kept hearing about their faith in many of the places he visited. Unfortunately, his third missionary trip was coming to a close and he had to go back to Jerusalem to meet with the Jerusalem church and to fulfill his Nazarite vow that he made for his nation Israel. So not knowing when he would ever get to meet them in person, he decided to send them a letter, while he was in Corinth, to establish their faith in the Gospel of Christ.
While the four Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John focuses primarily on the life of Christ to show the Aspects of the Gospel, Paul, in his letter wanted to focus on the Doctrine aspects the Gospel. Primarily on how the Gospel saves us and why we need to be saved in that particular way, and how to identify and reject false ideas about the Gospel. Particularly in relation to living by Faith verses living by the law or by doing Good deeds.
In this message we focus on where Paul got his gospel message (from the Old Testament prophets and Christ himself) and why he wanted to tell them in Rome this Gospel (to Establish them in their faith).

Always seeking to gain everything you want (or imagine that you want) without ever truly knowing others or investing yourself deeply into your present life will result in an unsatisfied life. The spirit of the uncontented heart lusting for something real in imaginary fantasies can never obtain because the person caught in it is never willing to build on present realities. Forever the stranger, her longing becomes the source of death for all who try to know her for any length of time as she will (consciously or unconsciously) tare down what is built when faced with life's hard realities.
In this message we look at attributes of "The Strange Woman" to, First: Avoid becoming like her and escape her tendances, and Second: how to not get involved with or trapped by such people so that what you desire to build in life does not get destroyed.

Many think that salvation began with their faith or that "their" salvation depends on them "continuing in faith" but in this passage of Romans 8, Paul the Apostle reveals salvation begins and continues by God's faith and divine will, showing that God does not begin a work of faith in a person without first also committing to, continuing in and completing thoroughly, that same work of faith. "being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:" ~ Philippians 1:6 "which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. ~John 1:13
In this message we show the faith of God towards those he foreknew would have a "contrite and humble spirit". For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones. ~ Isaiah 57:15
We explain how God's faith, from before the beginning of time to end of time, will save and continue to keep saved all who believe and receive him in faith and that "our faith in time" is the evidence to us that he has begun this work in us and because it is foreknown by God, it cannot be stopped, lost or even given up by us. "according as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, to the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. in whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;" ~Ephesians 1:4-7

The Holy Ghost indwells all believers and is personal proof to each of us that we are the Spiritual children, Born of God. In this passage Paul the Apostle shows us how we can discern the Holy Ghost that is within us. In particular the willingness to suffer with Christ, to Hope for our future redemption, and to groan for the things of God, are several of the evidences within us that we have a spiritual union with the Holy Spirit.
In this message we also show how these evidences of Spiritual union, while still in a corrupt mortal body, are used to develop and prepare the believer for eternity. For through them, our character, by our loving father, is trained to rely and focus on our union with Him, by Christ, rather than the abuse of our gift of redeemed freedom in self will or self reliance.

A lot of "good" but simple men and women run into many common but easily avoidable troubles in life (relationship drama, financial issues, marital problems, divorce, single parents, venereal diseases, endangerment, etc) and have no idea why they ran into these failures.
They often are surprised when it happens yet scripture shows us the results are 100% predictable based on the paths in life they chose and are avoidable with just a little bit of active wisdom and discernment applied along their way as they make life's choices. In Part 1 of Chapter 7 we deal with the Simple Man and how to avoid his traits that lead to his inevitable yet avoidable failures.
    Proverbs 7
My son, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with thee. 2 Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of thine eye. 3 Bind them upon thy fingers, write them upon the table of thine heart. 4 Say unto wisdom, Thou art my sister; and call understanding thy kinswoman: 5 that they may keep thee from the strange woman, from the stranger which flattereth with her words.
6 For at the window of my house I looked through my casement, 7 and beheld among the simple ones, I discerned among the youths, a young man void of understanding, 8 passing through the street near her corner; and he went the way to her house, 9 in the twilight, in the evening, in the black and dark night: 10 and, behold, there met him a woman with the attire of an harlot, and subtil of heart. 11 (She is loud and stubborn; her feet abide not in her house: 12 now is she without, now in the streets, and lieth in wait at every corner.)
13 So she caught him, and kissed him, and with an impudent face said unto him, 14 I have peace offerings with me; this day have I payed my vows. 15 Therefore came I forth to meet thee, diligently to seek thy face, and I have found thee. 16 I have decked my bed with coverings of tapestry, with carved works, with fine linen of Egypt. 17 I have perfumed my bed with myrrh, aloes, and cinnamon. 18 Come, let us take our fill of love until the morning: let us solace ourselves with loves. 19 For the goodman is not at home, he is gone a long journey: 20 he hath taken a bag of money with him, and will come home at the day appointed.
21 With her much fair speech she caused him to yield, with the flattering of her lips she forced him. 22 He goeth after her straightway, as an ox goeth to the slaughter, or as a fool to the correction of the stocks; 23 till a dart strike through his liver; as a bird hasteth to the snare, and knoweth not that it is for his life.
24 Hearken unto me now therefore, O ye children, and attend to the words of my mouth. 25 Let not thine heart decline to her ways, go not astray in her paths. 26 For she hath cast down many wounded: yea, many strong men have been slain by her. 27 Her house is the way to hell, going down to the chambers of death.
