  1. Brethren, Here is a good article about Congress, maybe, eventually getting some good definable impeachable Presidential offences. It is about time some of our elected officials start obeying the Constitution and impreaching presidents, and other elected officials, when they disregard the rule of law. http://www.thenewamerican.com/usnews/constitution/item/20660-congress-considers-defining-decrees-wars-as-impeachable-
  2. Very informative. One of the brethren is very astute with Hebrew. I think all of us owe our brother a word of thanks and a job well done. Not only is he, I presume the person is a he, only well versed in Hebrew but has a marked humility as well. Thank you very much Pastor Markle for your exhaustive scriptual study of the word useage on the subject, in English, and the Hebrew occurances of, 'qodesh-qodesh,' or ,'the most holy,' particulary in Daniel 9:24. I also support your conclusion as the King James translators were also very well versed in this Hebrew occurance of, 'qodesh-qodesh
  3. Revelation 21:1-8, “New Heaven and the New Earth.” Verse 1-8, “And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no mor
  4. Potatochip, Thank you for sharing with us the preaching video by Jessee Morrell. I would encourage all of you to listin to the last minute of the video. Jesses' preaching after the policemen walked the, 'drunk parrot,' away is a sermon in itself and worth hearing by all of us. Both Morrell's spirit and words are worth listening to. Thank you also for your comments on the situation with the very tragic police shooting in Chatleston. The shooting was tragic in all aspects. The policeman took a life and ruined his; the victim was a Christian, and came from a fine Christian family,
  5. Excellent! Most folks forget, or do not know, or just ignore, the foreknowledge of God. God foreknows everything; man does not. Keep up the good exposition of scripture.
  6. Brethren, Thank you for the very good discussions, thoughts, and comments thus far. In our next study, Revelation 21:1-8, 'The New Heaven and the New Earth,' we will be focasing on the the eternal blessings of God through the Lord Jesus and the wonderful relationship we will have with God. So, I think that starting with the next lesson, if you have any praise, thanks, or testimony, that you would like to include in your remarks please do so. Alan
  7. Covenanter, Isaiah 48 – 60 is not only speaking of deliverance and redemption from Babylon; that section of scripture is dealing also with the eternal attributes of God, His Majesty, the Plan of Redemption, The Suffering Messiah, and the leading of God concerning the nation of Israel from the time of the deliverance from Babylon to the restoration of the nation of Israel to the Millennial reign of Christ. To limit the prophecies of Isaiah 48-60 scripture to just the deliverance from Babylon is an injustice to other pertinent, and more important, doctrines and prophecies. A careful readin
  8. Eric, Thank you for bringing our Isaiah 60:12. The entire chapter of Isaiah 60 speak of the blessings of the Millennium and the glory of the nation of Israel towards the entire world. It also clearly brings out that the Lord Jesus, as KING OF KINGS, will punish those nations who do not obey His commands. Isaiah 60:12, “For the nation and kingdom that will not serve thee shall perish; yea, those nations shall be utterly wasted.” A thorough study and discussion of Isaiah 60 may be prudent in the days ahead and in another thread. If anybody would like to do this study it wou
  9. Hmmm ... let's see, is the 458 perversion of the King James Version or is the 459 perversion of the scriptures. It is so hard keeping track of these perversions that I think I will skip reading this new, improved, inspired, original Greek version of the scriptures by this, "Lady of the Cloth!"
  10. 1Timothy115, May God bless you and your mother. Alan
  11. You are entirely correct. Your analogies are real good and appropriate. All of the believers eternal blessings come from our Saviour and Lord. The future home, and glory, of all the saints, throughout the ages past, is yet to come. "To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory." Colossians 1:27 Thank you for your comments and analogies. Any further comments, or areas of discussion, before we go on the the next lesson?
  12. Brethren, Looking forward to continuing the lessons. Our next lesson will be on Revelation 21:1-8. 'The New Heaven and the New Earth.' Any comments or points of discussion before we continue? Some of the previous discussions and thoughts were very good. Alan
  13. Larry, Thank you for sharing that fine piece, 'Pathetique,' by Beethoven, played by Lisitsa. She is a master pianist and did justice to, 'Pathetique.' I think I will put Lisitsa's works on my list of CD's to purchase.    Alan
  14. Excellent! The Prelude Op 23 no 5 is considered a very difficult work to play. Emil Gilels was a great pianist and a close friend of Rachmaninov. Thank you for the selection. Do you, or Pilgrim, or any of the other brethren, have any other favorite works? or pianists?
  15. Pilgrim, Thank you for posting the piano piece by Valentina Lisitsa. I personally enjoy the works of Sergey Rachmaninov, Piano Conerto Nos. 2 and 3 very much. It is a shame that Valentina used her musical abilities to trash the Kiev Government in her tweets. Her comments were definately, 'provacative," and, in my estimation, she is a political activst using her musical talents to promote her political hatred of the Kiev govenment, and by the selection  of the attached video, the American government. I also read the attached article and the video of the protestors at th
  16. My wife and I homeschooled, both in the States, and on the mission field, our seven children and know somewhat how you feel. One year though in the States, while on furlough, and with our last two children left in the nest, we were able to have those two children in a church school. We considered it a blessing and it helped relieve us of undue responsibilities at the house. As a whole we are glad we did it as all seven children are doing just fine and love the Lord. We did not do the best job as teachers, and the two children probably learned more in that one year at the church school than at
  17. Welcome back Colin! Hope to get to know you in the days ahead and have fome fellowship and good discussions with  you.
  18. Revelation 20:11-15 “The Great White Throne of Judgment.” Verse 11-15, “And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were jud
  19. Man: is lower than the angles in power, postition, strength, creation, accountability and knowledge. Threrefore, the translators were entirely correct to have elohiym translated at angels, and not God.

  21. Sad but true. The end result of a godless, atheistic, immoral, selfish, liberal, person. it used to be that abortion was illegal, immoral, godless, selfish and the of a product a depraved mind. Now abortaion is the law of the land and those against it are slandered, maligned, called fanatical, and bashed by a liberal press. Exodus Chapter 1 all over again.
