  1. Fruit in the Life of Joseph

Thank you Jim. I appreciate your thoughts. It was a blessing in my heart already in preparing the devotion.

In this particular passage, as Joseph thought about the toils and afflictions that he went through, he naturally believed that it was God who brought about the fruit in his life. Joseph, as was Christ, among the other fruits of the Spirit previous mentioned, had inward peace, longsuffering, and temperance in their lives.

Now, God, through prosperity, and then through adversity, is going to mightily use Joseph in the lives of not only the nation of Egypt, but in the lives of his own household. The fruits of Joseph, as the fruits of Christ, will be far-reaching in every aspect of the word.

  2. Thank you for the fine message on Romans 1:16 & 17 concerning the gospel of Christ; true belief in Christ, repentance, humbleness in the sight of God, and salvation in the work of Christ, and His righteousness, alone.

Thank you also for your four thoughts in soul-winning efforts, your love for soul-winning, and bringing out the fruits of repentance. Keep up your soul-winning preaching and efforts. "In the morning sow thy seed, and in the evening withhold not thine hand: for thou knowest not whether shall prosper, either this or that, or whether they both shall be alike good." Ecclesiastes 11:6

  3. Thank you for your kind words. "As the fining pot for silver, and the furnace for gold; so is a man to his praise." Proverbs 27:21

Jesus has been forsaken of his own, sold out and abandoned and yet has been appointed by God as the savior of not only his own, but also of all who will come to him for council in faith.

Thank you also for this wonderful statement. I am sure it will be a blessing to all.

  4. Joseph and his Jewish Dreams

    Brethren,

I would like to add this note on the interpretation of the two dreams of Joseph  in Genesis 37:5-11.

The Unbelief of the Dreams of Joseph by Pastor Steven Anderson

Pastor Steven Anderson does not believe that two dreams of Joseph is fulfilled in the proper interpretation of the symbolism in Revelation 12:1-6. Pastor Anderson states, “So because of that dream that Joseph had, people will often look at Revelation chapter 12, and they see a woman clothed with the sun, the moon under her feet and upon her head a crown of stars and they connect that with Genesis 37:10-11, and they say this is the nation of Israel being referred to. And it's not a bad theory, I mean I can see where they're coming from, there is some support for it, but honestly, I do not believe it for one second.”1

Pastor Anderson is mistaken and is in serious error. Anderson rejects the words of the prophet Joseph. Revelation 12:1 is clearly the fulfillment of the two dreams of Joseph in Genesis 37:5-9. Like the brothers of Joseph, Anderson rejects the dreams of Joseph.

  5. Jim,

I am glad to hear that the devotion was a blessing to you. As with many other saints, the life, the character, and the moving incidents in the life of Joseph, are an inspiration.

Throughout the life of Joseph, we can see God moving His hand in the life of Joseph to use him for the deliverance of the Jewish race, the deliverance of the Egyptians, and we can see the character of Christ.

Truly, Romans 8:28 is evident in Joseph's life, "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose."  As Joseph loved God, so should we.

  6. Thank you for your study on the differences of the Convents, and Promises in the scriptures.

I personally appreciate the fine history (short), on the worship of God by the Chinese in ancient China.

Also, I appreciate the following statement, "We show how the natural divisions and terms already in scripture are there to aid the believer in their study."

    God bless! 😀

  7. "But the LORD was with Joseph"

Bennett Spring State Park, a favorite location to visit for all of my family, is located on Highway 64 going west from Lebanon, Missouri approximately 13 miles. Bennett Springs State Park has a large fish hatchery for Rainbow Trout and is a very popular place for fishermen and locals from the area.

  8. Thank you for the encouraging sermon on Psalm 89. As you mentioned, we are in a war: battles will be fought, and sometimes we cannot see the victory in the grand scheme of things. But, God knows what He is doing and victory will come in due time.

Every saint can rest in the promise in Psalm 89:34, "My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips."

"Blessed be the LORD for evermore. Amen and Amen." Psalm 89:52

    Keep up  the good work.

  9. Thank you for the devotion.

Isaiah 57:15 is one of my favorite verses. "For thus saith [THE HIGH AND LOFTY ONE] that inhabiteth eternity, [WHOSE NAME IS HOLY]; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of [a contrite and humble spirit], to revive [the spirit of the humble], and to revive the heart of [the contrite ones]." (Isaiah 57:15)

  10. Thank you very much for this devotion on charity, on love.

I appreciate the definitions that you brought out with Strong's. They were very appropriate and added to the message.

Jerry, I gathered that  this message was preached at a mission. If so, do you still have this ministry?

Looking forward to more of your devotions.

I would like to thank Rebecca for letting me know about the, "Gospel Hymns Instrumental,' website for his devotions song. Note: The original

music selection became unavailable so I changed it to, on October 29, 2019,  the current, "Beautiful Instrumental Hymns." Alan

I do hope that the instrumental hymns are a blessing to you.

May the Lord bless all of you.
