Rosie reacted to No Nicolaitans in Prayers Needed
Without going into detail, I would appreciate any prayers that can be offered for my family and me.
Circumstances have arisen that are thrusting me into the only caregiver of our family. Everything needed in our daily lives is now my responsibility for the time being. To put a stop to any doubts, no...there are no marriage difficulties or problems. I have the blessing of taking care of my wife for now; in turn, I'll not only be working the insane hours that I normally do, but I'll also be taking on all that she did in our daily lives.
Please pray for her, our family, and for me...
I want to do right by the Lord, my wife, my family, and anyone who may be a witness to what we're dealing with.

I saw this poem in the March 10, 2017, Vol. LXXXIII, No. 5, issue of 'The Sword of the Lord.' The Poem did not list any credits, or an author, and may be found on page 3, under, 'For Preachers.'
Though the cover is worn
And the pages are torn
And though places bear
traces of tears,
Yet more precious than gold
Is the Book, worn and old,
That can shatter and scatter
When I prayerfully look
In the precious old Book,
As my eyes scan the pages I
Many tokens of love
From the Father above
Who is nearest and dearest
This old Book is my Guide;
'Tis a Friend by my side;
It will lighten and brighten
And each promise I find
Soothes and gladden my mind
As I read it and heed it

It is my hope that all of us will love the pages of the Perfect Holy Writ from a loving Father above.
"Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning." James 1:17

In answer to your question -- Not necessarily.
2 Kings 20:18 speaks specifically about King Hezekiah's own sons, that would issue from his own loins, that he himself would beget.
However, Daniel 1:3 indicates that children from the families of Israel would be taken from three different groupings:
1. "of the children of Israel"
2. "and of the king's seed" (see 2 Kings 20:18)
3. "and of the princes"
Then Daniel 1:6 simply indicates that Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah were among those who were taken. Yet it does NOT specify from which of the above three categories. It only specifies that they were "of the children of Judah." Personally, I would think that if they were actually "of the king's seed," this phrase would have said "of the king's seed" rather than "of the children of Judah." As such, at this point I myself would "lean away" from concluding that they were "of the king's seed."

You need to be commended for your fine understanding of the scriptures. The Lord has blessed you very much.
I am sure that the Lord is referring to Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abendago.
Daniel 1:3 states, "And the king spake unto Ashpenaz the master of the eunuchs, that he should bring certain of the children of Israel, and of the king's seed, and of the princes'" in Daniel 1:7 the scriptures lists all of their names.
Daniel 1:7, "Unto whom the prince o the eunuchs gave names: for he gave unto Daniel the name of Belteshazzar; and to Hananiah, of Shadrach; and to Mishael, of Meshach; and to Azariah, of Abednego."

And now, praise the Lord! - my hubs has insurance! The hospital he was in has a great charity program, but they want to see patients who have no insurance at least attempt to get it. The attempt worked! Randy is now insured, and so between that and the hospital charity, the bills will - hopefully - be manageable. Having insurance might make it easier to find a primary care doc, too.
Randy is planning on being in both morning services tomorrow, as long as the pain continues to lessen (one service if not). And then, prayerfully, tomorrow night he will resume teaching the soulwinning class.
We've had no further word on Everett, but that old saying, "no news is good news" comes to mind.
Again, thanks so much for praying. It is very appreciated.

The Lord has blessed Randy, and you, in having the hospital bills more manageable, and in his ability to walk around, and continue life. God did answer the prayers of the saints.
Glad to hear that Randy is resuming the work of the Lord at church. I am sure that he is fine example to all the folks that hear him.
