Rosie reacted to Jordan Kurecki in Uganda Missions Trip
Well, as some of you know, I am going on a trip to Uganda for about 3 weeks in June, We will be working in the West Nile Region to establish a Church.
I would like to ask you to pray:
1. That God would prepare our hearts, We desperately need unity and holiness among our team.
2. That God would open the eyes of those in Uganda who are blinded to the Gospel by Satan
3. That God's power would rest upon us as we preach the Gospel.
The Team right now is Evangelist Phil Prettyman, his wife Christine, their daughter Hannah, Kerri Crider, Doug Miller, and myself.
Our prayer is to see John 14:12 fulfilled:
"He that believeth on me, the words that I do shall he do also, and greater works than these..."

Rosie reacted to Cindyt in Hello From Georgia USA
I've been saved a bit over 45 years, almost 60 years old, stone-cold deaf, married, but separated due to circumstance other than the norm, no children. I live with my sister and her rabbit-tailed cat, in a little town in the sticks. I love to sing, but the neighborhood probably doesn't appreciate it. Love cats and dogs, especially American Bulldog-Pit mix. Am an unpublished novelist; currently writing a Christian historical thriller.
I've been surfing for a good Baptist forum and hope I have found it here.

Amen! Truly our God is a great and loving Father to us.

Rosie reacted to Cindyt in The Goodness of God
My God answers prayer. He provides all my needs. And at His will he surprises me with wants which I have not asked Him for yet.
I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart: and I will glorify thy name for evermore.--Psalm 86:12

Rosie reacted to Cindyt in For One Day
Don't leave Him in the manger
And adore him there on Christmas morn.
Don't leave Him on the cross
And mourn what He was born to do.
Don't leave Him sitting at the right Hand of God
And pay lip service for what He has promised to do.
For one day He will return in the clouds
And every eye shall see him, every knee shall bow
For one day He will slay death with a sword
And wipe away all tears and pain
For one day He will sit on David's throne
And we will reign with him there forevermore.

Rosie reacted to WellWithMySoul in Rapture and Pregnancy Questions
I have pondered and prayed about my response to these questions. In the early 1980's I "lost" two babies, and in 2008 I "lost" my granddaughter. I believe that they are with my Lord Jesus. It is very comforting to know that they are safe with Him. Over the years I have been blessed with a couple of verses that confirm their presence with the Lord...but I'm a little slow remembering the references. God's "character" and other principles in the Word also give me confidence. Again without references off the top, I also believe that babies in the womb will also be whisked away and caught up to meet Jesus in the air.

Rosie reacted to WellWithMySoul in Hello need alot of prayers
I will also pray for you and for your family...that you will know without doubt the Lord's leading and will concerning your present circumstances. My heart goes out to you because of your recent loss; I just lost my dad last September. As I lift you up in prayer, I shall ask that you will also know how the Lord wants to use you to His glory through the trying times. May you know the comfort and greatly sense the Lord's presence and love.

Rosie reacted to HappyChristian in Whats for Supper...
That sounds really tasty, Invicta! I had a bowl of Raisin Bran cereal. Sometimes a bowl of cereal for supper is just right.

Rosie reacted to WellWithMySoul in Please pray for Seth
Rosie...I've already lifted Seth up in prayer, and I will continue to. Even though he is missing, our precious Lord Jesus knows right where Seth is at as you know, and he knows exactly what Seth needs. It's such a comfort at difficult times like this to cling to and trust the Lord. Indeed, this sounds like a heartbreaking situation, and I know that the Lord will hear our cry to Him on behalf of Seth.

I SERVE a risen Saviour,
He’s in the world today;
I know that He is living,
whatever men may say.
I see His hand of mercy,
I hear His voice of cheer,
and just the time I need Him
He’s always near.
He lives, He lives,
Christ Jesus lives today!
He walks with me and talks with me
along life’s narrow way.He lives, He lives,
salvation to impart!
You ask me how I know He lives?
He lives within my heart.
2 In all the world around me
I see His loving care,
and though my heart grows weary
I never will despair;
I know that He is leading,
through all the stormy blast;
the day of His appearing
will come at last.
3 Rejoice, rejoice, O Christian,
lift up your voice and sing
eternal hallelujahs
to Jesus Christ the King!
The hope of all who seek Him,
the help of all who find,
none other is so loving,
so good and kind.

CHRIST is risen! Hallelujah!
risen our victorious head!
Sing His praises! Hallelujah!
Christ is risen from the dead.
Gratefully our hearts adore Him
as His light once more appears,
bowing down in joy before Him,
rising up from grief and tears.
Christ is risen! Hallelujah!
risen our victorious Head!
Sing His praises! Hallelujah!
Christ is risen from the dead.
2 Christ is risen! all the sadness
of His earthly life is o’er;
through the open gates of gladness
He returns to life once more;
death and hell before Him bending,
He is risen, the victor now,
angels on His steps attending,
glory round His wounded brow.
3 Christ is risen! henceforth never
death or hell shall us enthral;
we are Christ’s, in Him for ever
we have triumphed over all;
all the doubting and dejection
of our trembling hearts have ceased;
’tis His day of resurrection,
let us rise and keep the feast.

Rosie reacted to Pastor Scott Markle in A Forum Bible Study On 2 & 3 John
Brother John,
I thank you for the endorsement. I only pray that the Lord our God will get the glory and will use the material for the spiritual edification of His own.

That's a fact I've seen played out many times. The parental failure becomes clear when these malnourished young Christians go off to secular college and dress and lifestyle comes to mimic the world since they were not firmly grounded in the faith.
I would heartily recommend to every couple, everyone considering getting married and every parent to read "God's Wisdom for Marriage and the Home" by Pastor Scott Markle. This is an excellent book saturated with Scripture (KJB!), not man's opinions.

Indeed!!!!
However, even many believing parents, who train up their children to know the Lord Jesus Christ as personal and eternal Savior, often train them up according to the pattern of moral parenting, rather than godly parenting. In a sense, trusting the Lord as Savior is one of the basic "morals" that they would choose for themselves and their home. Thus their children do indeed come to faith in Christ, even at a fairly early age; yet they are very often NOT grounded in the faith through their upbringing in the home (which is a terrible failure on the part of the believing parents, since they have the greatest opportunity for the discipling of their children during those years of upbringing).
