I'm new to this poll stuff. Are we supposed to answer in a reply as well as voting in the poll? Seems a little redundant.
If so, my answer is yes.

yes (and let's make sure to answer only yes, no, or not sure...)

I gave each of you a like and wish that I could do so with emphasis!  Your prayers, your kindness, your empathy, and your compassion are so wonderful...and even though it's all in text, I can still sense the presence of the blessed Spirit in your comments - towards me and towards each other.  I pray that the Lord will bless your Christ-likeness abundantly.  Thank you for all of your prayers on my behalf!!  I just got back a little bit ago from my regular doctor, and I have been referred to an ortho-surgeon who will treat all three of my issues.  That is a relief to me knowing that I won't have to go to multiple ortho's.  As moderators Mike and Jim know....we have a ways to drive to get to where the ortho's are...and so coordinating the issues with one doctor is great.  I will still need wisdom to make appropriate decisions as to the options of treatment that I might have.  I've had complications with surgeries in the past, and so I'm not real fond of that option....but need to be wise about considering it.  I will try to keep you updated as things progress....for your consideration and knowing better how to pray...and also because I long to testify of God's work and how glorious it is!
PS....Rosie...I'm praying for you and your situation too, dear sister!

    THEY'RE KILLING OUR CULTURE

[NOTE: I have to be careful what I write today, because a Muslim fanatic shot up a gay bar and Christians are to blame, somehow. Every form of resistance to the demands of organized sodomy will be declared the moral equivalent of the Orlando massacre.
So all I will say is this. Sorry, liberals, but this was your fault, not ours. You fostered and coddled homosexual activism. At the same time, you have tried to do the same with Islam, which you have imported.
“Gay rights” and militant Islam cannot coexist.
And I think you knew that all along, but didn’t care.]
We’ve been wondering what will be the Left’s next big social engineering project, once the transgender movement has run its course and people are in jail for using the wrong pronoun.
Some would bet on pedophilia. Temple University, for one, has been working hard for decades to convince society that it’s beneficial for children to have sex with adults. Only they don’t call it that. They call it “consensual inter-generational sex,” and by the time you figure out that’s just a fancy term for pedophilia, the deed’s been done.
Last week, though, the Supreme Court of Canada, with a stroke of the pen, created another Cherished Minority—people who have sex with animals. Yes, they virtually legalized bestiality, except for one particular act which need not be mentioned here.
This week, British newspapers reported that bestiality has become something of a fad in Germany, leading to the creation of “erotic zoos”. Because there is some faint stirring in the German legislature to go back to making bestiality against the law, “zoophiles”—see? They’ve already got a name for themselves—have vowed to organize, demonstrate, and lobby to secure their… “rights”.
We’ve seen that all before, haven’t we? In due time, “zoophiles” will become a favored and protected group in many Western countries, and everyone else will be required to respect, affirm, and “celebrate” this—well, I’m sure they will call it a lifestyle.
St.Paul said, “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places” (Ephesians 6:12). Note that the origin of all this wickedness is spiritual, not temporal. But its instrumentality is indeed of this world: humanity’s inborn drive to sin, which can be overcome only by spiritual regeneration in Jesus Christ, by the grace of God.
This one effective, spiritual weapon lies rusting in the churches’ armories.
Naturally, and now more than ever, people are afraid to speak against what we timorously call erotic minorities. Why? Because they don’t want to be smashed by the whole ruling class of the Western world: by courts and politicians, by the media and celebrities, by schools and universities. By worldly forces which, willingly or unknowingly, serve spiritual wickedness in high places.
It should hardly be necessary to say that violence is not the answer. If we’re going to kill all the sinners, we would wind up killing everybody; for all have sinned.
But surely the answer cannot be to surrender to the rulers of the darkness of this world: to dance around the golden calf, because we don’t dare not to, mindlessly chanting “Love wins! Love wins” with all the rest of them. Nowhere in the Bible are we told, “If you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em.”
The bare fact is that we’re killing our culture by rebelling against God; and if you kill your culture, the culture will kill you right back.
As Moses said, we must choose blessing or cursing, life or death.
Spiritual destruction seems a high price to pay for a sexual buffet.

Sigh...I need wisdom!  I'm so glad for James 1:5 - "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him."  I've been suffering from a bone spur on my neck, a partial tear in my shoulder, a torn ligament in my wrist, degenerative joint disease, osteoporosis, tendinitis, and bursitis.  I've been referred to an ortho-surgeon for my wrist and shoulder, but he doesn't do necks.  I need to make a decision about having the tears and bone spur treated at one time or whether to have just the tears treated.  Sigh...I'm truly not desiring to have anymore surgeries, but the pain that I've been in is disrupting my rest at night, and it has changed how I go about my days physically.  Anyway...if any should feel so led, please pray that I would know the Lord's leading, and take advantage of the situation to share my Saviour with whomever as He opportunes me to.  I greatly appreciate your prayers!

These days it's wise to have something on hand that can be used as defense, to make a loud noise, or otherwise help confuse, scare and hopefully stop an attacker.
It's almost as if millions have gone insane these days. Some will attack women, children, the elderly, handicapped, anyone it crosses their mind to assault for whatever reason, and sometimes no real reason.
May the Lord protect us in these ever more dangerous times.

I just thought Id post up the simple truth about God's will for sinners. These verses have been very comforting to me recently, and I believe that they can help people who might be going through some of the same things I have. If you ever doubt your salvation, or if you have loved ones that are not saved then meditate on these promises from the Lord.
" For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth" 1 Timothy 2:3,4
" And when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto his disciples, ' Why eateth your Master with publicans and sinners?' But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, ' They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick. But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentence." Matthew 9:12,13
" Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." Matthew 11:28-30

Rosie reacted to John81 in Unbelieving family
It would be best for you to get out on your own as soon as you can. That doesn't mean you have to cut all ties after moving out. Simply be careful about the influence your unsaved family has upon you and if need be, limit the amount of time you spend with them. We don't have to continually try to persuade them to come to Christ but we should make certain our lives witness our life in Christ. Be helpful and respectful and if possible share some of the good things Christ is doing in your life.
My family is lost and has no interest in hearing the Gospel or anything about "religion". My Dad can't talk without cussing and his most used terms are blasphemous which really grieves me (I say a silent prayer each time he blasphemes, which is a lot). For this reason I don't spend a lot of time with my Dad but I try to make sure the time I do spend with him is helpful time.
Pray for your family daily. Pray the Lord will send that someone into their lives the Holy Ghost can use to bring them to salvation in Christ.

The Lord is assuring me that he will be with us. As he was with Moses and as he was with Joshua, so he will be with us, as he has with all his servants in the past, victory is ahead...be strong and of good courage; for the Lord thy God is with three whithersoever thou goest.

These are the passages God laid on my heart

    Joshua 1:5-6,9 KJV
[5] There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. [6] Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them. [9] Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

    Matthew 28:18-20 KJV
[18] And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. [19] Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: [20] Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

    Joshua 10:24-25 KJV
[24] And it came to pass, when they brought out those kings unto Joshua, that Joshua called for all the men of Israel, and said unto the captains of the men of war which went with him, Come near, put your feet upon the necks of these kings. And they came near, and put their feet upon the necks of them. [25] And Joshua said unto them, Fear not, nor be dismayed, be strong and of good courage: for thus shall the Lord do to all your enemies against whom ye fight.

On June 9, our team will enter the village of Ejopala and begin to win hearts by the love of Christ.  We will begin working immediately on a church building.  On June 12, a 12 sermon series will begin that will gradually go through the Gospel of our Great Savior, Jesus Christ.  This meeting will go from Sunday to Sunday.  My sweet wife Christine will be doing a 12 part series for children, incorporating a puppet show (Hannah and Keri).  Phil, Doug, and Jordan will be preaching and building.

the exact time I will be preaching is at 8am central time on June 13th. For those of you have smart phones please set a reminder or alarm for that time. Your prayers will make all the difference in the very real spiritual conflict that will be taking place over the hearts and eternal destinies of the people of Uganda. I cannot stress how important your prayers are to this being successful.

    P.S.
After commenting on John81's post I read today's article (a booklet), from Lighthouse Trails Research called, "Remaining Faithful Through it All." I think the following verses that that quote are appropriate with this discussion on many pastors loosing, or never having in the first place, belief, or faith, in a pre-tribulation rapture.
We Are to Contend For the Faith
Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. (Jude 1:3)
We Are to Fight the Good Fight of Faith
Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. (1Timothy 6:12)
We Are to Faithfully Watch For His Coming
Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season? Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. (Matthew 24:42-46)
We Are to Keep the Faith
I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. (2 Timothy 4:7)

"Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart  from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils." 1 Timothy 4:1
Just about every biblical doctrine, including prophecy, is under attack. Many saints, and ministers, are departing from the faith, by the hordes of false teachers, a-millenialists, liberal ministers, mockers of the IFB churches, and the CCC movement.

In a few weeks here, I will be preaching a message in Uganda as part of an effort to start a church, my topic is "We are sinners by choice", Basically It it is about how we have free will and tat we choose to sin, and that we have a sin nature as well. Please pray for conviction of sin and that my message would create hearts prepared to receive the Gospel when it is preached more fully later on in the week.
