Rosie reacted to ... in Hello again
    Hello all,
I have been here before, but, to be honest, I have forgotten what my old screen name was.  I was not especially pleasant at times, but God has taught me quite a but about pride and humility since then.  I am just a miserable sinner in desperate need of the salvation offered by our Lord Jesus Christ.
    Sincerely and respectfully,
    Brother Stafford

Thanks, all. We're going to go look at it Wednesday; the realtor is a friend, a wonderful Christian lady who always makes it a point to pray with her prospective buyers, and we have seen God do great things with her.
As I look back at our last building, I am afraid much of why we lost it was my fault. Honestly, I thought I was being very 'spiritual' in often declaring that the building didn't matter; it was just a convenient place for us to do the work from, but we could just as well work from a home or a rented hall or under a tree. And while, in a sense, that is all true, to a point, what I ignored was the great blessing God had given us to have a building, and the great freedom it gave us to work as we believed the Spirit was leading us. I have greatly repented over my lazy and incorrect view, and now understand that, while we worship God in Spirit and in truth, it is a good thing if we can meet somewhere that gives us a greater sense of cohesiveness, and it CAn be special and sanctified, and should be treated as such. It's not a 'temple', but it CAN be the local house of God, to be used for doing His work.

Rosie reacted to ... in Trinity of Trinities in Genesis 1:1
I heard this over thirty years ago on a late night AM radio station.
(Genesis 1:1) "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth."
The very first verse of the King James Bible contains a trinity of trinities consisting of time, space and matter.
"In the beginning" = Time (Past Present Future)
"God created the heaven" = Space (Length Width Height)
"and the Earth" = Matter (Solid Liquid Gas)
I just love things like this.

Dear Rosie...I'm praying muchly for you!  We have wonderful Christian friends in Jacksonville, and also in the Milton area that we are praying for too.  There are so many weather-related things going on all over the world.  I truly hope that you will know the comfort, the confidence, and the reassurance of the Lord's presence as you endure thru this hurricane.  Bless your heart...I'm sure praying!!

A short story to entertain you!
Time is like a river. You cannot touch the water twice, because the flow that has passed will never pass again. Enjoy every mom...ent of life. As a bagpiper, I play many gigs. Recently I was asked by a funeral director to play at a graveside service for a homeless man. He had no family or friends, so the service was to be at a pauper's cemetery in the Nova Scotia back country. As I was not familiar with the backwoods, I got lost and, being a typical man, I didn't stop for directions.
I finally arrived an hour late and saw the funeral guy had evidently gone and the hearse was nowhere in sight. There were only the diggers and crew left and they were eating lunch. I felt badly and apologized to the men for being late.
I went to the side of the grave and looked down and the vault lid was already in place. I didn't know what else to do, so I started to play.
The workers put down their lunches and began to gather around. I played out my heart and soul for this man with no family and friends. I played like I've never played before for this homeless man. And as I played "Amazing Grace", the workers began to weep. They wept, I wept, we all wept together. When I finished, I packed up my bagpipes and started for my car. Though my head was hung low, my heart was full.
As I opened the door to my car, I heard one of the workers say, "I never seen anything like that before, and I've been putting in septic tanks for twenty years."
    Apparently, I'm still lost....it's a man thing.

Those receiving GCSE Exam results here is the UK are said are said to to be generally lower than last year, many getting C grades when they were expecting A.  My granddaughter who was home educated has received four A* grade including French and German and three A grade.  She was disappointed that she only got A for English Literature and not A*  She will be joining a 6th form class in a school next year to do her higher levels.  The German tutor has been telling everyone that she is the girl that got A* for German after learning it at home.

I am still not quite sure what God has for me in the future. I am still
burdened for Uganda, though just not exactly sure God has called me there.
    1. Pray God will clearly direct me and lead me.
    2. A helpmeet is still a need.
right now life just seems to be at a stand still. I really don't see anything on the horizon and to be honest I feel like I'm in a rut. I'm still serving God, but I really desire full-time ministry and marriage.

When folks say that to me, I usually ask them what better place to be than in church...if hypocrites come to a biblical church, they can hear God's Word and possibly get things right.

I can only just smile and look to the Lord and continue to remember II Cor. 4:15-18!  Now I have been referred to a cardiologist who specializes in "venous" issues.  I am having a lot of new pain in my poor ole worn out feet.  There is a vein problem that is most likely the "culprit".  I need prayer as I deal with the pain, the distance I have to travel to see specialists, and mostly....that I would recognize and take advantage of any opportunities He gives to share the glorious news of God's love with all that I cross paths with!

Thank you to all of you who reported the private messages you received from "celialove". Moderators also received them, and Jim_Alaska banned her as soon as he became aware of it yesterday.
Sadly, this type of thing happens sometimes on the board. However, members who take the time to report things like this in a timely manner help us keep things clean - especially if moderators don't receive the messages.
Again, thanks to all of you for the alerts.

The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, is from the LORD. ~ Proverbs 16:1
I just read this verse this morning, and praise God for it because it comforts me greatly at the moment. I looked up the Matthew Henry Commentary on Biblehub.com and found out that every other bible rendering on the page besides the American King James Bible says that it is up to man to prepare his heart, but the answer of the tongue is from the Lord. So blessed to own a copy of the King James!

Like Obama, I will constantly pray for his salvation, support him when he honors God and oppose him when he does not.
President Obama and Secretary Clinton share the same ideology. Indeed, they shared nearly the same path of radicalization, Obama passing through the same doors as Hillary just a few years later.  They are box Marxist-Leninists whose god is their belly and hate America and her founding documents and her founding fathers.

Rosie reacted to *Light* in Salvation for a young homeless man
We have a ministry with the homeless where we take them to shelters and pray over them daily. It's a blessing to see the Lord work in them and see the transformation from a homeless person to those who are no longer living on the streets and have a well paying job. Our prayers have never failed as of yet.

I'm not sure why except by the blessed Spirit, but after I read about this fellow...my eyes filled with tears.  I just absolutely love how the Lord works in and through His own to share His love and about salvation.  There are some of the most "unlikely" situations that tend to have such tremendous power!  What an encouragement it is in this sin-prevailing world to see and hear the desire and love to share the Gospel.  Thank you for sharing this situation, Wmccarthy99....and indeed, I shall lift this fellow up to the Lord in prayer!
