cliche'....it's simply observing what is happening, not seeking a sign for proof of faith of the Lord's return or anything like that.  This kind of response is a cheap general insult taking a whole scriptures out of context and  combining them for some strange reason.

why are you the only person here who has problems understanding what we are saying when we way "Israel"?  I never had a problem with that word, never had a problem understanding what it means any place it is used in the Bible, never had a problem understanding what it means when it is used in the news or by anybody in the world.  The only place I would have trouble understanding the word "Israel" would be when somebody like you is using it because you are confused about it and all I'll get from you is confusion.

Nope.  The first Baptist confession was when John the Baptist preached "repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand".  The next Baptist confession was when Jesus told John to baptize, and then He began His ministry by preaching "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand", and ended His ministry by commanding His disciples to preach the gospel to every creature, and baptize Him and it sure wasn't any kind of Reformed Calvinistic baptism.  It was the same Hell fire and brimstone baptism of John the Baptist.  Baptists followed from John through Jesus Christ.......they didn't evolve out of the mud of the dark ages, crawling out from under Catholic rocks until they grew enough backbone to protest Catholicism and Reform according to Calvinistic teachings which try to supplant the word of God.  Those 1600 confessioners abused the name of Baptists.  They should have just called themselves Calvinistic Reformers and been more honest about their intentions.
My faith has found a resting place, not in device nor creed (nor any extra-Biblical Baptist confession)
I trust the ever living One, His wounds for me shall plead.
I need no other argument, I need no other plea.
It is enough that Jesus died, and that He died for me.
I reject all of the 1600 Baptist confessions.  I have the Bible, I don't need any Reformation theology or any of it's confessions of faith.

those 1689 Confession framers deserve credit for standing up against Catholicism, but the Calvinistic oppression of John Calvin ruling Geneva and making the Calvinistic Geneva footnoted Bible and forcing everybody in Geneva to toe his line to keep a fortress protecting themselves for Catholic persecution was not Baptist.  I believe Calvin would have set Jesus up to be Crucified just like the Pharisees did.

Israel is still the apple of God's eye.  Jerusalem is still the holy city of God, and Jesus Christ will rule the world from Mt. Zion, the names of the twelve elders of the tribes of Israel hold equal place with the names of the twelve apostles in Revelation.  You are teaching Christian anti-Semitism and it's evil.  Christians should always be on the side of Israel.  Any nation that is against Israel is against God.  Any Christian who does not support Israel and the Jews is invoking God's punishment on themselves.  If the Jews are not right with God, God will deal with them.  Any nation that mistreats Israel and/or the Jews will be punished for it.  By making blanket statements seeking to throw all Jews to the lions, you are provoking God to punish you.

all the pomp about "thou shalt not seek a sign" is misplaced.  This is only about observing recent natural and historical events which strongly indicate that God is giving clear warnings of coming judgment.  When people go off changing it into a debate about trying to pinpoint the day of the Lord's return I just about want to puke.  I don't know of anybody who has tried to name a date or use current events as proofs of the time of the Lord's return.  He could come back before you read this post and then you know you were never born again because I will be gone and you will be reading this.  That's not the topic.
Really, I think people who are afraid to admit God is giving warnings are simply afraid it's true and prefer to keep their head buried in the sand saying "I live by faith, no by sight".
I enjoy watching things day by day lining up more and more for the fulfillment of end-times prophecy.  It is a strong witnessing tool to many who will not listen to any other approach.  I was talking to a couple guys today, one is an atheist or existentialist who will not listen (yet) to the gospel or any warnings about Hell.  Both of those guy listened and discussed things in light of Muslim terrorist attacks in America.  They listened well as I explained the Biblical roots of the current hatred of Islamists against Israel.  I believe some seeds got planted there that could not be planted any other way.  I witnessed to both of them before, but they never seemed to listen so much as when they realized Biblical rooted conflicts could hit them personally now.
Christians have been asleep, retreated into their churches and televangelism and Christian radio programs...and Christian websites...and God is sending wake up calls.  I doubt we will turn back tides of judgment that are rising, but if the Lord tarries we sure can do something better for him than to have stupid little arguments about signs.

Maybe your sorts of Baptists are falling over themselves to become charismatic.  Real Baptists remain real Baptists the same as they always have been like John the Baptists.  They always have and always will.  I still say Calvinists are not real Baptist no matter what Baptist Confession they claim to stand by.

I believe the first year Baptists could go public was in Acts 9:31, after Paul was converted and stopped persecuting the churches.  Those early Christians were Baptists, baptized following the Lord's command, according to the same baptism He submitted to under John the Baptist.  This teaching that Baptists emerged in the 15 or 1600's is junk history used by people who elevate themselves to be leaders.
Calvinistic SBC churches are falling all over the place thanks to charismatic and Emerging Church teachings.  Mosques are replacing them all over the South...why?  Because Calvinism has little if any life in it.

I think the point Saintnow is making is being missed again. There is a thread a while back called replacement theology that discusses the same concept. You know the concept that satan makes us all miss all day, every day: He that loses his life in this world shall find it. Even the vast majority of IFB miss this concept completely. They get saved, THANK GOD, but then their discipleship is more along the lines of replacing all their past wasted time in what every lost and saved person knows is wickedness with a milder, less wicked versions of the same. OH, and don't forget to pray once a day and read a couple of lines out of your Bible and you will be living for the Lord - HA!. Porno replaced with the family channel or discovery and hollywood with pixar and disney. The exact same amount of personal time is wasted but since it does not SCREAM SATANIC, we think God approves.
    Well, pilgrims, He don't approve.
I can only pray to get over this flesh and live it one day. The thing that I will never do is try to justify wasted time with statements like "God gave us this life to enjoy it while we are here" BALONY - I would ask someone to show me anywhere in the Word where Jesus says anything like this, but I already know it is not there.
The example of how believers are to live in is Acts but we still don't get it. They continued steadfastly in prayer and preaching daily. It doesn't mention entertainment outside of the church anywhere. It certainly would if we were allowed to write it though.
So pilgrims, we resemble the first century Christians when work, play, family time is completely centered around prayer, witnessing, serving and worshipping God. Everything else is of the world and is sin by and by. I have know a handful of believers over the years that would have fit in perfectly with the first century church. 99.9% are a hollow shell of those these days.
The same people keep clinging to their delusions of their replaced lives. If it is not of God, it is of the world period.
Live in the world, what choice you got - duh. Live for the world, that is a choice you got daily and most of us fail daily. We spend an hour in prayer and Bible study and 4-5 hours on the world's seemingly harmless entertainment. Sure guy, you are living for the Lord like that - NOT. Quit lying to yourselves.

I have some strong brothers I go street preaching with.  Strong in the Lord.  That really helps.  It's a life dedicated to The Kingdom of Heaven nothing else before God.  We get together and get out there 2 or 3 times a week sometimes for 4 to 8 hours or even more.  We soulwin together eat and fellowship together.  I'll admit I am really, really blessed.  Very thankful for what I have.  I have known these guys for years from soulwinning.  They too shun TV.  They don't go in for that kind of entertainment at all.  We go everywhere  from the gang areas to the trendy new age neighborhoods.  Events we possibly have Mexico coming to town for the soccer finals lol.  I am loaded down with spanish tracts for that one.  55k tickets have already been sold.  Try Fellowship tract league.  For a modest donation I think its $7.50c for a thousand tracts they ship you too.  Really nice tracts with the gospel.  I drop them off at drive thru windows.  Give them to people on the street at the store etc.  I just say can I give you something to read or here.  They mostly take it some say no thanks.  I go alone to when there is no one else to go with me.  Doesn't bother me.  I hand tracts out and talk with people sometimes for 4 hours.  It gets exhausting in the hot Georgia Sun.  But so satisfying.

I hate television myself it's filled with sin.  There are a lot of things on youtube about hidden meanings etc.  TV being propaganda.  I just think its sin filled entertainment.  Tries to get you in there to look and listen to more.  They can keep their hidden meanings and symbols as if the sin on that thing weren't obvious enough to begin with.  I'm not surprised by any of it.  Come out from them and be separate and if television isn't the world I don't know what is.  I find youtube fascinating.  You can pick what you want to watch on just about anything you can learn stuff.  Learn how to farm you name it.  lol. Learn how to dig a well or install a toilet.  I don't like reading all that much anymore my eyes get strained and tired.  TV pretty much picks for me what it wants me to watch and I don't like that very much.  Little in the way of learning unless you like the circus lol which TV is to me pretty much its a waste of time and a futile pursuit.  There are better places.  I can find all kinds of preaching and soulwinning tips which has been very helpful.  Heck I can even get live church on there.

so what do you think is going to happen coinciding with the Seventh Shemita?  I think it's going to be and economic collapse due to the collapse of the dollar or the fall of the dollar from being the world standard currency....or maybe a large and intense middle east war.......or maybe some kind of cyber attack from China that causes US economic collapse, or disruption of transportation and food supplies...or a dirty nuke or EMP attack.  Christians have surrendered America to the ungodly, and God is going to take away the freedoms that Christian enjoyed when the laws showed some fear of God.
I am certainly aware, and fully prepared......not prepared for survival in this world because there is no such thing; this world is temporary and cannot be survived by sinners (though I do intend to have enough food to get through the winter if things fall apart, and sure ways to keep warm if the power is gone out for long days in winter).  I'm fully prepared because my sins are forgiven and I am going to heaven and do not fear any fiery trials.

First of all, fearing the future is sin.  It's obvious that the world is heading for some climatic judgments and Christians who have been protected by America are probably going to lose that protection.
Second, Cahn's heretical teachings and Jewish mysticism practices or ties do not change historical facts.  God judges nations according to how they treat the Jews, He always has and always will.  The events Cahn points out in recent history and their parallel of Jewish special seasons and times is undeniable.  From what I have gathered, the prediction is that something big is expected to happen around September 28th (I think it will be the fall of the Dollar, complete collapse of US economy as the Dollar is replaced from being the world standard currency, and I hope I'm wrong...or maybe an event similar to or worse than 9/11 which would severely cripple North America....I am not too concerned about what is going to happen....I have read the script, I know how the show is going to end and Jesus has me saved from it all).
Some people want to whine about this being a "false prophecy" or "setting a date for the Lord's return" (which neither I nor anybody I know of has done), or "seeking a sign" as if it's wrong to believe God is indeed warning of judgment and His warning is plain in His word as well as evident in current events.  Those "seeking a sign" people act like it's sin to read the newspaper and say, "wow, God is warning America" when Islamic terrorists took down the Twin Towers within 24 hours of a big land for peace deal being pushed on Israel by Bush.   You can believe God is warning America and the world of severe judgment coming or you can bury your head in the sand and say "who cares?  I live by faith and current events mean nothing to me"  The chain of events, historical and undeniable facts, is so astounding it made the fuzz on my bald head stand on end when I looked at them.  I really don't care about Cahn's teachings and none of that is necessary...just look at the historical facts of things that have happened, and the dates they fell on. If you can't see God is warning America to repent and return to God or fall hard under God's  judgment, and in turn the world spiraling down with no steadying protection of American leadership into greater and greater chaos leading up to the reign of Anti-Christ, you are either willfully burying your head in the sand or have a mental block for some reason.  I honestly hope the predictions around 9/28 are misguided and we enjoy the stability we have until the Lord returns, but it seems like one month in this world is enough time for it to blow to bits, let alone the three months leading up to 9/28.
I'm living the time God loans me in fear of Him and nothing else no matter what trials and persecutions come.  Nero in Rome burned Christians as human torches, and there is little preventing another Hitler from taking power in America and doing such things  to Christians now.
Now is the time to do everything we can while we have the freedom to do it to spread the gospel, sow seeds of the word for the Lord.  I always appreciate being encouraged to witness for and serve the Lord, and encourage others to do the same.
Arguing about Cahn is a waste of time.  Heretic of not,  the man deserves  credit for highlighting the recent events in history and how they  go so far beyond coincidence indicating  God's finger pointing at America and the world warning of judgment.
Praise the Lord!   ....and the Spirit and the bride say, Come.
    Even so, come,  Lord Jesus.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.  Amen.

Ever wondered about people who die and never hear the gospel? What happens to them?
Rom 1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
Rom 1:21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
Rom 1:22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
Rom 1:23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
Rom 1:24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
Rom 1:25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

Notice here that God and his power are CLEARLY SEEN,BEING UNDERSTOOD, by the things that are made (Creation).

So God and his existence are clearly seen by looking at creation, for example the complexity of life, the vastness of the universe, the amazing laws of nature, these all point to an omnipotent God in the same way a 2014 Camaro point to that manufacturer.

This is called General Revelation, and it is the first revelation God gives to a man.

Everyone knows this at some point, the passage say that when they knew God they glorified him not as God, so they rejected God, usually because of the responsibility to him that this would bring, it's easier to deny God than to be responsible to him for out actions, because of this denial they end up in a downward spiral in all sorts of wicked depraved sins, and they usually end up in false religions as well, the passage talks about exchanging the truth of God into a lie, basically people create their own concept of God that does not exist, Pantheism and Polytheism are a good example of this.

Another revelation of God is the conscience:
Rom 2:14 For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:
Rom 2:15 Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another

everyone knows deep down inside that lying, murder, stealing, etc are wrong, and this is written on man's heart in his conscience.
The point i am making is if a person refuses to accept the revelation of Creation, and the Revelation of Conscience, then God is not obligated to give the revelation of Christ, this is completely just and fair.If a person is not willing to learn simply addition and subtraction then it is not unjust for the teacher to be unwilling to teach him calculus.

God sends missionaries when he knows there are people who will be receptive.he is all knowing and knows who will accept his gift of eternal life.
People do not deserve to go to heaven because of sin, it is completely just for God to send anyone to hell, without them ever hearing the gospel, because all have sinned and chosen to do wrong in life. this includes people in foreign lands, When God allows sinners to have a chance to hear the gospel, that is called grace, because they do not deserve the chance, But I do believe that if there is anyone who would be willing to get saved, God will in fact allow them to hear the message somehow, the bible says that God is "not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.", the bible also says that he wills all men to come the knowledge of the truth and wills all men to be saved. Jesus also said that if he be lifted up (referring to the cross) that he will draw all men to himself; this shows that to some degree, God draws all men to Christ, to the degree that a person is willing to let God draw him, he will draw them.

Consider this passage from the bible:
Act 8:26 And the angel of the Lord spake unto Philip, saying, Arise, and go toward the south unto the way that goeth down from Jerusalem unto Gaza, which is desert.
Act 8:27 And he arose and went: and, behold, a man of Ethiopia, an eunuch of great authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her treasure, and had come to Jerusalem for to worship,
Act 8:28 Was returning, and sitting in his chariot read Esaias the prophet.
Act 8:29 Then the Spirit said unto Philip, Go near, and join thyself to this chariot.
Act 8:30 And Philip ran thither to him, and heard him read the prophet Esaias, and said, Understandest thou what thou readest?
Act 8:31 And he said, How can I, except some man should guide me? And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him.
Act 8:32 The place of the scripture which he read was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so opened he not his mouth:
Act 8:33 In his humiliation his judgment was taken away: and who shall declare his generation? for his life is taken from the earth.
Act 8:34 And the eunuch answered Philip, and said, I pray thee, of whom speaketh the prophet this? of himself, or of some other man?
Act 8:35 Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus.
Act 8:36 And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized?
Act 8:37 And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
Act 8:38 And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.
Act 8:39 And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing.

Notice here is Eunuch reading the old testament scripture who is clearly searching for the truth, so God sends him somebody to explain to him about Jesus.
    Consider another example:

Act 16:9 And a vision appeared to Paul in the night; There stood a man of Macedonia, and prayed him, saying, Come over into Macedonia, and help us.
Act 16:10 And after he had seen the vision, immediately we endeavoured to go into Macedonia, assuredly gathering that the Lord had called us for to preach the gospel unto them.

Hope this helps you to understand.

I knew of a man born in Nepal, in a small village, secluded from most outside contact. He was born into a priestly family, and destined to be the high priest of their particular sect of religion. He was raised up with this in mind, and all his training reflected those beliefs-he knew nothing else.  And yet, as he considered the earth around him, he began to believe there was something wrong with what he was being told, though again, he knew of no other ways. yet it continued in him and so be eventually left his home to try to find what he was looking for. As he went through his country, he came across muslims, Catholics and Buddhists. and investigated their religions, but wasn't satisfied. Over time, he eventually came to America and began to investigate some religions, and ended up in a, Independent Baptist church, and there, he said, he found rest in his heart, was born again, and eventually became a missionary to his people back in Nepal.
This is a true story-and it is an example of how God puts the knowledge of Himself in all men, no matter where they are. John says that Jesus lightens all men who come into the world, and this is an example of just that: he saw the light and even in his darkened condition, he reached for that light, and sought it diligently until the Lord led him to where he would come to know Him, and he was saved.
