"Supralapsarianism" What does that even mean?  Yes, many, be they cultists or actual Christians, seem to like their terminiology they invent to describe a biblical concept, (true or not). Oddly, the terms are supposed to reflect the concept for better understanding, but often, they need a serious explanation to understand the term. Exegesis vs Eisegesis, (?), I was a pastor for years before I was even aware of these terms, Soteriology, Angelology, all the other ologies, we sure think we're smart. Just study your Bible, study it in context, and you'll usually do pretty well.

I have read some of Spurgeons sermons. I have been on a Calvinist forum. The two mix like water and oil.
What really turned me off to the modern day site I tried was all the 'supra' mumbo jumbo. They tended to use words I have never heard of and phrases I have never even considered as relating to Christianity muchless the scriptures. I resisted 'looking up' their terms and tried to get a definition from their postings and never could. It's like a special code or something that only they can understand.
Never had that problem with anything I read of Spurgeons.

    #2. Yes. John 1:9 -
That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
    Along with John 14:46 & 47-
I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.
And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
The Lord's focus for salvation was everyone ever born.

    Yes he does call all.
Once again John chapter 1 covers the issue well.
9  That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
10  He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
11  He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
12  But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
13  Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

Mine was not a dress down John Henry. You spoke your opinion and I spoke mine. Nothing personal was meant, we just have differing opinions. When I posted my reply it was as a Christian Brother, not as a moderator that was reprimanding someone.
I did not put you in a class with unbelievers at all. I simply pointed out what we, as Christians should be concerned with and provided scripture as my argument.
If you were offended at my post I respectfully apologize, I meant no offense. I was simply stating my opinion on a subject you provided.

    JohnBaptistHenry,
All of your posts on this subject taken together, present a picture of anything but "simple truth". This is akin to those who have a "pet theory" and try to make everything they see fit into it.
As followers of Jesus we are not to be taken up or unduly concerned with "signs".  Mt 12:39 But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas:
Jesus pointed to what our focus should be on when he was asked for a "sign".  Mt 12:40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
1Co 1:22 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:
     23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;
24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.
We, in the church age have been blessed with much scripture showing that the end is near and that we have a limited amount of time to attend to our primary task of preaching the Gospel to a lost and dying world. This is the reason that our Lord gave us scripture relating to end times; not that we should be focused on them, but to help us understand that time is short and the night comes, when no man can work.  Joh 9:4 I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.

Am I seeing correctly - in the blue chart, (the 1000 years one), the kingdom started in 2000 AD?
So you are a date setter?
Were you also lead to believe 1988 was going to be the return of Christ?
Are you a Marvin Rosenthal fan?
(Besides the fact that no NT writer mentions anything about Israel becoming a nation again as important to end time events...what value is watching feast timing to Gentiles?)
    None of his mumbo-jumbo happened.

    This is interesting.
A couple of things though - are you saying that in Genesis when it talks about 'time' that it is talking about something else? Because that is what the Lord was saying. They are to show 'time'. Nothing else.
And also - are you saying that "moade" means 'time' ? - yes I think you are.
So how does 'time' get changed when compared to your references about 'signs' in the sun and moon and the stars? The signs have nothing to do with time, but destruction! What kind thinking are you perpetuating here? A mixture of sorts I think - because the fig tree has nothing to do with anything but an example of how to observe the times coming.
    Entertaining read though.

Act 1:6  When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel? Act 1:7  And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.
All that study comes to nothing because Master Jesus said it wasn't for us to know the times or the seasons. I feel bad because that was lots of work.

I want to thank HappyChristian for enabling me to re-upload the charts in this thread.
Except for the one chart on the October 17, 2015 posting, I was able to upload all of the other charts. I do hope that the charts are a blessing to all of you.

    T  - "Total Depravity"
Basically, this is the Calvinist belief that a lost person has no ability to believe or respond to the Gospel. The Bible does say things like "there is none righteous, no not one", and "no man can come to the Father except the Spirit...draw him" etc. I believe that we are unclean, depraved, helpless and hopeless without Christ. But the Word of God says that God dealt with "oh Jerusalem" in Matthew 23, Agrippa in Acts 26, and Felix in Acts 24, and clearly God "drew" all three but all three refused of their own choice.  The Bible says that God draws all men to Himself and men DO have the ability to respond when he draws. You don't just decide one day to become a Christian; You come to God when He deals with your heart and , again, He deals with everybody because He is a JUST God. This Heresy ties directly to the second letter; the "U".
    U - "Unconditional Election"
Calvinists teach that only those who God "enables" will respond and that he only "enables" certain ones of His own choosing. So this facet of the "T" ties to the second letter; the "U". God just chooses "elects" or "enables" certain ones of the "totally depraved" simply because he wants to choose those certain ones. Wow! What a lie of the Devil. I have to get back to work. More later.........

Oh wait, one more little tidbit for the Calvinists who say this "Total Depravioty" means the dead cannot respond to God. In John chapter 11 Jesus told the disciples plainly "Lazarus is dead":  I believe Lazarus was STILL DEAD when he heard the mighty and powerful voice of Psalm 29 say "Lazarus come forth". Yeah...and the dead STILL hear the voice of the mighty King of Glory today...... I did. (See John 5:25)

The prpoblem with Calvinists and Arminianists is that they seem to view the entirety of Christianity in a 'one of the other' viewpoint. "You'r not a Calvinist (Arminian)? Why, you filthy Arminian (Calvinist!)! They have SO limited their own view of Christianity based upon a couple of guys' views, that it is all they can see anymore.

Heb 9:27  And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
Jude 1:6  And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.
That great day is also called the last day John 12:48  He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.
There was also a first day mentioned  In Genesis 1:1-5 God tells us what happened on the first day. Before that I believe there was only eternity.
We are also told what ls will happen on the last day.
John 6:44  No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.
John 6:54  Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.
Jesus must have preached this often as Martha said
John 11:24  Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day.
There can only be one last day as there was only one first day. After that there can only be eternity.

I use tracfone, and my wife's phone and our home phone are both with StraightTalk...which again is the same company as tracfone.
I love tracfone. They recently gave me a year of free service for being with them so long.
One thing to realize Rosie, is that you should try to find out which MAJOR cell phone carrier works best in your area; such as, Verizon, Sprint, AT&T, etc...then choose a tracfone (or other brand) that works with that carrier's towers. In other words, different tracfones work best on different towers. I only use LG tracfones, because they use Verizon towers...which are best in our area
    I know it's confusing...sorry.
