  1. Thanks for linking that article. Now I can't say that I haven't heard Rice out. So he definitely had a rift with Hyles over that heresy. I don't know the date on this article, but Rice saw the IFB beginning to fall into Nicolaitan deeds , and tithing as the catalyst.
  2. Ezekiel 14? Is that the right chapter? I'm sorry, but there is no prophecy of the coming kingdom in Ezekiel 14. Perhaps you meant a different chapter? I'm trying to follow.
  3. Anecdotal evidence is weak, but my testimony adds to the 100% teach "tithing"(which isn't actually a word, though much misuse has placed it in the dictionaries of late). Of the churches that I have visited, or joined, in the last 40 years, not one has taught NT giving properly. All that have taught on tithe, have greived the Spirit of God, and reinstated the curse of the Law. Included in this list are three of the largest, most influential IFB churches in my lifetime. To be fair, Jack Hyles mentioned that John R.Rice didn't agree with him on tithes, but I never heard Rice out, on the subject, so I can't include testimony of him and/or any of his like-minded churches. I'm sure, with the circulation of the SOTL in the 70's and 80's, that there were some who agreed with its editor.
  4. Spurgeon made up his own pet doctrine "Special Election", claiming that this was necessary...
  5. Gen 21:13 13 And also of the son of the bondwoman will I make a nation, because he is thy seed.
  6. The Spirit enlightens them, as the hear the Word, and believe. Those who hear, believe. Those who don't, may later on. We need to present the Word, and watch the light come on. It usually helps to ask the person what they believe, first, and then offer to show them where God's Word differs with them. We are to be a medium, a channel, for God to speak to those who have not the Spirit. We have the answers, and the Teacher, and they need Him, and so, us. Jn 16:7-11 7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away:for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. 8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: 9 Of sin, because they believe not on me; 10 Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; 11 Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged. All of this takes place through those to whom the Spirit is sent... "I will send him unto you. And when he is come,..."
  7. Gal 2:10 10 Only they would that we should remember the poor; the same which I also was forward to do. One of many such references.
  8. 2Co 11:8-12 8 I rOBbed other churches, taking wages of them, to do you service. 9 And when I was present with you, and wanted, I was chargeable to no man:for that which was lacking to me the brethren which came from Macedonia supplied:and in all things I have kept myself from being burdensome unto you, and so will I keep myself. 10 As the truth of Christ is in me, no man shall stop me of this boasting in the regions of Achaia. 11 Wherefore? because I love you not? God knoweth. 12 But what I do, that I will do, that I may cut off occasion from them which desire occasion; that wherein they glory, they may be found even as we. Paul took no money from the church at Corinth, even though he stayed there for months and taught them, because of those who would boast of their ministering to him. So, he lived on the support from Macedonian churches, on that trip.
  9. 2Co 9:12 12 For the administration of this service not only supplieth the want of the saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto God; Our giving is supposed to fill the needs of Saints, and cause thanksgiving unto God in those Saints.
  10. 2Co 9:6-8 6 But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. 7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity:for God loveth a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:
  11. 2Co 9:1 1 For as touching the ministering to the saints, it is superfluous for me to write to you: Here is a whole chaper, giving the understanding of NT giving.
  12. Gen 20:13 13 And it came to pass, when God caused me to wander from my father's house, that I said unto her, This is thy kindness which thou shalt shew unto me; at every place whither we shall come, say of me, He is my brother.
  13. 1Ti 6:5 5 Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness:from such withdraw thyself.
  14. I have been to Alaska, to several churches in The Anchorage area. Love it there.
  15. Gen 20:1 1 And Abraham journeyed from thence toward the south country, and dwelled between Kadesh and Shur, and sojourned in Gerar.
  16. One of the worst offenses, is when people are told that they are under a threat of a curse, if they don't "tithe". The sinister false minister uses suggestive planting, like a palm reader, to convince his victims that any of their financial woes are the result of somehow under "tithing", or rOBbing God. Then, they rOB the person of the blessing that they would receive, were they meeting the needs of fellow Saints, by taking the money that they innocently donate, and spending it building an empire.
  17. Hope ya didn't miss my wink. I may have planted, or watered, but God gives the increase. I have nothing wherein to glory.
  18. 1Co 16:1-3 1 Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia, even so do ye. 2 Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come. 3 And when I come, whomsoever ye shall approve by your letters, them will I send to bring your liberality unto Jerusalem.
  19. I suggested a Bible Study, that is all. I'm not sure how this becomes offensive. I have no idea why you are angry. I failed to realize that you knew everything. I hope someday to be able to put some of my ideas into practice.
  20. Now all you have to do is study the Word on church leadership, and find out how wrong most churches practice it. You may even spot some of thr cause and effect of your situation. Ephesus is the church praised by God for proprr leadership... Study it. We have Acts 20, Eph., I &II Tim., and Rev.2 .
  21. You are just summing up what is being revealed through the Scripture. All may prophesy.
  22. Rom 15:25-28 25 But now I go unto Jerusalem to minister unto the saints. 26 For it hath pleased them of Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor saints which are at Jerusalem. 27 It hath pleased them verily; and their debtors they are. For if the Gentiles have been made partakers of their spiritual things, their duty is also to minister unto them in carnal things. 28 When therefore I have performed this, and have sealed to them this fruit, I will come by you into Spain.
  23. Rom 12:13 13 Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.
  24. Abraham's seed is not = to "Israel". Abraham's seed includes : Arabs Edomites Israel All who have faith in God JacOB's seed = Israel. Rightly divide.
